  • Miss Jesse's hair product line contain's all of the harmful and useless ingredients mentioned. If they are going to put that junk in their products then why charge $50.00? Simple con...not putting ur money back into ur business. These goons are simply trying to make a profit on the guise that "we'll just write down on the jar that it works", and it's an expensive product so it must work.

  • Hair ingredients like mineral oil, petrolatum, parraffinum liquidum, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, are all harmful hair ingredients which are extremely drying & cause breakage. The hair companies know this & they don't care. They rely on consumer ignorance to make a profit. Before you purchase a hair product just simply turn over the darn bottle/jar and read the igredients. Educate yourselves and don't buy from companies that put that crap in their products, no matter what it say's on the jar.

  • Watch out for the mineral oils, petroletum, and parrifem wax--MJ's products are heavy laden with this stuff along with others. Make sure you clarify your hair frequently and moisturize with organic stuff b/f you use their stuff.

    Your hair looks great :).

  • so can i use while transitioning?

  • @Goofychik01 You COULD use it while transitioning... i would take a moment to look at your relaxed hair texture when it's wet. Does your relaxed hair go bone straight? Mine didn't so that's why I got these results w Miss Jessie's. I don't use Miss Jessie's product's anymore, I like the Kinky Curly line a lot more. But it took a lot of trial and error sampling products. Know what you want to achieve and try products out until you find the one that gives you results you want.

  • @Goofychik01 If your hair goes bone straight, then I'd probably suggest trying some bantu knots with kinky curly products and see how you like the results. I plan on doing a review soon. Keep an eye out for it.

  • @ebonycutie84 ok i will .thank you.

  • Hi Ladies. Just wanted 2 let everyone know 2 be careful. I bought every product Miss Jessie's had b4 and then I found out 1 day that all of their products contained 2 of the most harmful ingredients that we can put on our hair, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and petroluem. All of which are extremely drying and cause breakage. Plz ladies don't take this message wrong bcuz if you use some subsitute with it and it's working for you, then continue. I just wanted you all to have all the facts. Chow!

  • @chawkeye17 No offense taken... about my 3rd to 4th day into using Miss Jessie's products I actually began to feel as though my hair was dry. Almost as though there was a film on my hair... so I'm not surprised to hear this. Thanks for the info! :)

  • i think nzuri curl cream works way better. watch?v=O1rAUj3w45I

  • Im 15 and I have had one perm i think it was last year but it was one to make my curls bigger but it failed.. the top half of my hair has reallly dry ends and it has some curls some are waves and the bottom half is like super super small spiral curls.. I am thinking about trying Miss Jessie's product. What do you suggest? I am aiming for moisture and longer curls. Volume is not an issue haha

  • @lildanimal34 lol i'm with you on volume, you and i must be looking for the same thing, soft long curls with no extra volume :)

  • Well come to LA and sell this stuff.. Sistas in LA need your help! Everyone here is weaved up! And thats why none of them can find a man.

If I were king. Weaves would be outlawed. And If you were caught wearing one, youd be locked up for life. Id probably lock your kids up tooo!

STAND UP IF YOU HATE WEAVES! AND SAY "IM MMAD AS HELL AND IM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE"

ok im thoo, my grits are ready.. (got some thick bacon too!)

  • I've been getting relaxers since i was about 2 years old. Yeah 2 years old! My mom put it in my hair because she said my hair was so curly. I've been getting relaxers all my life. I'm 17 now and i have decided to go natural. I've been natural for about 3 1/2 months and counting.

  • Curly Meringue Is Heavier(stronger hold) Than Curly Pudding.

  • u r very pretty n ur hair is nice..keep on doin it mama!

  • I have been transitioning for 1 yr. I want to try Miss Jessie's products. I have a question. When you stated your regimen, was your hair wet? Towel dried?

  • Love your makeup. What products do you use?

  • @nenedede I am a M.A.C. addict! I'm using the smokey eyes quad from M.A.C. in this video. Tutorial to come soon!

  • hi i have a short hair cut nd i wanna go natural; i didnt kno that u can have a lil perm in ur hair and still use the Ms. Jessie product. so does that mean i dnt have 2 chop off all the permed ends?

  • no, most people do it because they can't handle their curls. Natural hair requires A LOT of attention, just like permed hair. At miss jessie's salons, they have something called a silkener, which takes our natural hair and lengthens it. So you still have your natural curls but they'll just be longer and won't shrink that much when dry. Most people do this but a silkener is just a mild relaxer, so if your gonna do that, then you might as well stick with full relaxers. It's hard, I won't lie!

  • Is Ms Jessie products only for natural hair

  • heyy , i have like semi-relaxed hair and i also wanna try and go curly for the summer and i've really am kinda torn between the curly pudding and curly meringue or even mixed chicks or kccc (kinky curly curling custard ) . i want like really defined curls i really dont mind a crunch and i wanna keep my length. what would you suggest ?

  • @yopoqueen Depending on how thick your hair is I would suggest Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue if your hair is more like mine is in this video. If it's a little more curly like it is in my big chop video then I would suggest Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Good luck girl! Let me know how it all works out.

  • uhhhhh... so wen we gettin married?

  • cute hair chica

  • Hey, great vid and I truly love your hair!! I have a quick question though. You mentioned that your hair was semi-relaxed, how do you do that?

  • @alluvial18 Its basically a relaxer but instead of smoothing it until its bone-straight it's relaxed only half way so you still have some curl/body. Supposedly it's better for your hair because it allows your hair to keep some elasticity which is lost when you take your hair bone straight.

  • I love your hair missy!

I'm hispanic and my hair use to

be like that until I dyed it and I don't

know what happen to it I wonder if

this product works wonders on my

    hispanic hair?

  • @kgarcia14 You may have overprocessed your hair when you dyed it, causing it to be a lot more dry. Curls love/need moisture. Miss Jessie's might work for you. I'd suggest the curly Meringue for Hispanic hair because it's a little lighter. You might also want to check out Kinky Curly's "Knot Today" and their "Spiral Spritz". I find their products didn't leave any feeling of residue on my hair unlike the Miss Jessie's. Good Luck! I hope you find something that works for you! :)

  • Thank you very much!

  • @kgarcia14 You're welcome! Hope everything works out.

  • Cutesy!

  • @bfullilove1 im 17 as well and ive decided to go natural y mom especially doesnt want me to do it but i figured better start now than later but yes im so inspired by these videos and amzed at how wonderful black african american hair is you dont need to be biracial in order to have great hair ladies i wish a lot of young ladies would open their eyes and realize this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one word 4 ya.........SEXY!

  • your hair is really pretty!

  • love your hair..im 17 and i want to go natural...(yeah..i know..i finally woke up) any way..whats the first step to going natural?..by the way you and your hair is beautiful

  • @bfullilove1 I think you've already taken the first step, which is deciding to go natural. Your next step would be to do as much research as you can on taking care of curly hair. You can look at videos like mine on you tube or even Google key phrases like "afro natural hair care" or "transitioning from relaxed to natural hair".

  • @bfullilove1 Then decide on whether or not you want to grow out your hair or do what is called a "big chop" like what I did in my next video. Finally, stick with it to the end! (That's the hardest part) Best of luck!

  • Your hair looks really pretty, my hair is similar in texture and style. Cute!!

  • gorgeous! you and your hair

  • You're very pretty first off. Great voice! I wanted to leave a comment to say "Thank you" so much for specifying that your hair is partially relaxed (texturized) that makes a huge difference on product reactions outside of texture differences and curl size. Your one of the very few ladies that will let someone know when giving a review! Kudos Chica!!

  • @GypsyCurls Thanks girl! I had to let people know because I find it frustrating when I don't know, and then I try to get the same results and it doesn't work out.

  • comb*

  • Did you twist your hair after you put the products in and let it air dry? Or did you come it through and air dry??

  • I just combed it through. Twist outs don't seem to work for me.

  • Wow!!!

  • When you said "flat wavy thing or a bush", you described my hair. My stylist was telling me today that they are ordering some for the salon to try. Can't wait to try it!

  • I have the same issue with my hair being either flat and mildly wavy or a big frizzy, fuzzy whatever it is so I appreciate this video and your comment replies- very helpful!

Thank you :-) (And your hair and makeup are gorgeous!)

  • I love your eye makeup. Do you do tutorials? I would love to know how you created that look.

  • Thank you! :) I haven't done any makeup tutorials yet, but I'll make sure that I make a video showing how I did this look in the near future.

  • What is semi-relaxed or semi-natural?

  • That's where they relax your hair but smooth it only half-way rather than until it's bone straight. Similar to a texturizer.

  • Oh, I see. They still use the same chemicals, but keep it on for a shorter time.

  • Yes exactly. It helps to keep some of the elasticity in the hair.

  • You are so GORGEOUS!!! I Love your hair!!! I cant wait til mine grows out like that.

  • Aww thank you! *blushes* I actually just did the BC last month so my hair is REALLY short now. I'll do a new vid soon so everyone can see it.

  • the curly pudding didn't really do any justice 4 me...it had like a dried residue and had my hair dry looking after a day...

  • I hear you. I think I was a bit premature in making this video. The same thing happened to me the second or third time I used it on my hair.

I'm going to try some other products for natural hair in the future and give feedback.

  • BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL ;) also you are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Hi I like the way your hair looks from using miss jessies :)

I am relaxed but my hair still gets curly when it's wet so do you know if I'd be able to use miss jessies products on my relaxed hair?

  • Yep! That's exactly how my hair is in this video. Curly hair is curly hair whether it has been relaxed or natural.

The only difference I've noticed is that relaxed hair needs more moisture than natural hair because the chemical process tends to dry hair out. You may find that you need to use something to maintain the moisture after using Miss Jessie's products.

  • Thanks beautiful :)

  • Anytime ;)

  • Damn You fine!!!

  • Horayy Miss Jessie
