  • the deal for freedom for the cuban people was....if he or she makes it to US soil, they can stay or declare their freedom.Operation Brothers to the Rescue picked up or saved cuban and helped them reach US soil, which was not fair to other people trying to make it to the Us and sent back to their countries.B to the Rescue cheated and took advantage of the situation.they should of not interfeared.

  • Alan, BTTR were operating prior to wet foot/dry foot policy but despite that as many as 100,000 Cubans have drowned in the straits often times with the help of the Cuban government. Saving lives is not a crime but a moral obligation.

  • VChapaev,

Au contraire the facts as I stated above are true. Brothers to the Rescue saved hundreds if not thousands of lives of Cuban rafters in the 1990s and were and remain advocates of nonviolent resistance. They never advocated violence.

Check into it. Cuban government propaganda is one thing and the truth another. The reports and trial transcripts are out there.

  • 1. On day shot down the two planes did not enter Cuban airspace.

    2. Brothers to the rescue was and is a nonviolent organization seeking non-violent change in Cuba.

    3. The Cuban dictatorship was admonished at the UN Security council and reports from ICAO, IACHR, and UN found the Cuban government at fault for taking their lives unjustly.

  • Great to see that you guys are remembering the victims!
