  • I wish Mick and Jeff would have sang more songs, kind of like kiss where everybody got a few. This is one of my favorite cd's, I love that the solos are all electric.

  • I LOVED Dokken in the 80's. That was my band above all bands..I saw Reb with them on the one album and tour he did. I loved the way he fit in that band, and I don't often. I saw George on their last tour together, and he looked miserable... Good move. That REVOLUTION disc was magnificent! As for Dokken, no other guitar dude has done as good an album with them since "Erase The Slate" which actually made up for that "Shadowlife" disaster. The reunion album with Lynch was pretty cool...

  • --- Sorry Mick, i think the drums are your thing, But you're welcome to come with me to Karaoke this Saturday night !

  • Just got lucky again and had to hear this again, theBAND, not Don the man

  • its good stuff...jeff does a good job with "you just got lucky" as well...most bands have folks that can play other instruments or sing or write songs...when dokken arrived on the scene...don was the better choice to front the band...if either jeff or mick would have fronted the band in the 80s, i dont think they would have been successful

  • I saw them do a set like this in Providence, RI around 1992 or so and they rocked. Lynch, of course, did not sing (they used to keep his mic unplugged!).

  • I have to admit, this song was never an absolute fav. of mine, but this version is so good i've listened to it about 8 times today.

  • I know Mick. He's a talented musician, and one hell of a nice guy.

  • How come all the old songs sound better without Don's nasal sound. The songs are great and Don just made it on top. but who would have bought Pilson or Brown albums...

  • Nice Job for a drummer!

  • No gimmicks, just good, quality music. A real band. They sound great plugged in or not.

  • Ive had this DVD of this live, for about 5 years now...go check it out...

  • Great vocal harmonies

  • I use to have the CD to this. It's actually quite Good I Love that they Played all their songs in Acoustic. This Band never gets the Credit which they deserve.

  • Really love that version! Not bad for a drummer!

  • ok this is kool...they should put out a cd for this, I'd definitely buy it!

  • It is on cd and dvd, it's called "One Live Night" from 1996.

  • @Dan72770 this was actually recorded in late '93 before they got back together "officially" and started tracking their Dysfunctional cd

  • @zzzthaoster They did it was released in 1996 it's called One Live Night there's also a DVD for it also.

  • Awesome!!!

  • George gives me goosebumps. God damn...

  • HELL YEA MICK!!!! GREAT JOB!!! NO MATTER WHO IS SINGING LEAD VOCALS, DOKKEN'S HARMONY ALWAYS SOUNDS HUGE! WHAT A GREAT ROCK BAND TO BE ABLE TO PULL THIS OFF EFFORTLESSLY NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AND IN THE STUDIO.....SOUNDS LIKE CHORUS GROUP SET UP ON STAGE BACKING THEM UP, AND THEN YUO LOOK AND ITS JUST 3 MOUTHS AND 3 MICROPHONES KICKIN' ASS AND SOUNDING LARGER THAN LIFE! THANKS DOKKEN FOR YOUR TIMELESS MUSIC THAT HELPS ME GET UP WHEN I'M DOWN! Bless, ~ Blaise ~

  • I will never forget the day that Steve Brown (Micks little brother) came to school and said "my brothers in the Don Dokken band, their gonna be big !" and we all said " yeah right kid, whatever" . The next year every kid in school had a Dokken t-shirt !!!!

  • I envy you man, Being in the same country of Dokken... farthermore in their great years! Priceless

  • They also do a killer version of the Beatles' "Nowhere Man" in this show. I wish someone would post the vid for that.

  • coolest version of this song ever!

  • Jeff Pilson always looks cool

  • I have to say.. I just saw him live in concert with Foreigner, and he looks extremely weathered/traveled one too many roads.. :(

  • nice mullet!~!

  • The whole band has always been great together or alone, and no diss to Reb, But George Lynch is the only Guitarist for Dokken

  • very true, i beleive reb is abetter player but he doesnt have the right sound, his legato tapping and more technical playing isnt right for dokken espectially after hearing george lynch's more crude less technicall playing and that awsome classical sound he has!!!

  • LOSHOMBRES123, I couldn't agree more. You don't have George, you don't have Dokken. End. Of. Story.

  • @LOSHOMBRES123 I totally agree George Lynch is the man.

  • @LOSHOMBRES123 Reb Beach had a nervous breakdown after thier tour. Got his final paycheck and went into hiding in Malibu. I think he did mountain climbing for about two years and was never heard from again. lol

  • now they just need a good barber

  • WMB still getting it done Im glad he got a chance to show off his voice

  • Very cool interpretation. Love that they're taking turns, switching instruments, etc.

  • it's not about who sings better, it's that the original Dokken lineup, is a GREAT band !!

  • Good lyrics, nice job Mick !

  • WOW! this version's even better than the original. Saw Just Got Lucky on here, too. I this from a live DVD? How come I never heard of this before?!

  • just think, if George could sing hmmmmmmmm

  • i agree this is fukin awesum!

  • this version is cool!

    very surprising!

  • sure looks like mick brown to me

  • Oh yeah!!! Great stuff from a great band. I can't stand to watch/listen to the newer versions with Reb playing guitar. Yes, he is good, but he is not Lynch/Pilson. Accoustically unbelievable and awesome... Even Don himself appears to be having a good time if you watch all the videos from this concert. After all, Dokken ryhmes with Rockin'

  • Ditto all of that, especially about REB. He ain't shit when it comes to Lynch's stuff. This is not to say his own music sucks, I really don't know and don't care and I would never buy REB's work anyway. I does the best he can as a copyCAT when playing with Dokken, I guess

  • Don is good, leave him alone, mick did goood job, so did pilson :)

  • Now if I can just get a Lynch vocal would be all set....lol

  • right on mick......... sry don it aint 1985 anymore your pipes are not the same

  • Really great song and they performed it well, just another way than usual, but great ^^

  • Wow! Mick's voice has lots of soul and energy!

  • unbelievable.

    never saw this before.

    old lynch/dokken fan here.

    this is great.

    thanks for posting. :)

  • oh what a great song... i have to get this dvd

  • Dood, bought this tape days ago listened to it for days finally got too see vids TYVM!!

  • That's why Dokken had such very strong backing vocals in all their songs. The bands secret weapon Jeff and Wild Mick!

  • Wow, how would you like to know your drummer could sing better than you?

  • He needs to take center stage! What a great singer! Go wild Mick!!!

  • Very nice! I just signed into You Tube a few weeks ago. My son (a budding guitarst taught by me) emailed Pilson regarding my JHS days with him. I have been listening/watching Dokken/lynch/Pilson,etc vids ever since. This DVD is extremely remarkable. I agree, I wish they all could find what it takes to reunite ~ life is too short to let attitudes dictate. I say, email all of them daily until us fans get what we want. MORE DOKKEN!!!!! Bring it on...

  • I want a Dokken reunion myself. However, Don can't seem to sing well. Look at some of the recent vids for Dokken touring in Europe. Goerge Lynch can still shred though. He has plenty of Sam Ash vids floating around.....

  • ドッケンいいねえ。

  • is this from one live night dvd?

  • Mick's voice sounds more heavy and aggressive than Don's...

  • what a great backing vocals. whew!

  • Proof positive, a band with frightening depth! I prefer Don's voice, but there's no denying that Mick Brown can wail ! Just wish Georgie was willing to re-unite !

  • Whoa, wait a minute, isn't that George on lead guitar in this vid? If not, It's a George Lynch clone!!

  • u serious? Don Dokken can sing so much better

  • nice

  • that was damn goooood

  • The whole album is pretty good.

  • A great version!

  • Comment removed

  • the album was released in 96 but the concert is form like 94 i think. Right before the release of Dysfunctional

  • wow

    nice

    very nice

  • Mick can sing better than Don. God he sucks now.

  • The power of backing vocals....Love it!!!

  • I would never have believed this song could work in this format, it's brilliant!!

  • Accousti-rockn' with dokken! Cool video

  • Not bad for a drummer... (Don does say that.) LOL Love Dokken!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn, I liked that. Didn't think I was gonna.

  • it sounds really good the way mick performs this song... he aint have the same level of don dokken but, he does sing good!!!
