@Freedomcostmoney one of the things i liked about reeve is that he was white, theres too many evil black niggers in hollywood movies these days and it piss's me off
@EatMyWetJuicyTurd haha true and i don't think the audience would've responded well to a nigger playing superman, but it sure would've pleased the chicken drumstick eating black man.
Yes I had a superman outfit when I was four years old and would dive around the sofa in the early eighties. I wish they had made more Superman films in the late eighties and early nineties with you in but the four you did were fab
If your reading this in heaven then thanks Chris for all those fantastic memories:)
I can't believe Reeve was my age when he made his breakthrough as Superman and compared to him, I feel like haven't achieved anything. Regardless of his tragic accident, I will always respect him for his amazing acting abilities, work ethic, accomplishments, and was already active in charities long before his accidents.
@HajimeNoJMo I know what you mean, but then again, people are becoming millionaires just out of their teens nowadays, so its hard not to feel like our lives are wasted opportunities.
What have been nice if we could have seen Chris as Superman in the 90s before his accident ,if Tim Burton could have talked him back to return as Superman with Michael Keaton for a Superman/Batman movie :(
I wish Christopher was still here! If he had not gotten on that horse back in May of 1995, he'd probably be alive today. He was THE Superman and WILL always be my Superman forever and ever! We all miss him!
I would have liked to see him in STAR TREK as a vulcan and other parts.
i,m looking for a tv show from the 80s or 90s ,, i dont remember well ,, its about extreme sports videos from all the world with great music , the host is christopher reeve , its very good , can anyone help me to find it , or where i can find it? thanks
i,m looking for a tv show from the 80s or 90s, i dont remember well , but the host is christoper reeve and is about extreme sports videos with an exelent music ,,can anyone help me to find it?
This man achieved an eternity more in his years in a wheel chair and when paralysed than I ever could in a million lifetimes. He really was a superman. Shame all the good and worthwhile people in this world have to die young. Most celebrities today are mindless vain robots, he puts them all to shame. RIP Christopher.
I saw him in a tv interview where he said the media wonder what the world would be like with a real life superhero and wanted him to be that hero, but he turn it down cos he said the world is a big place and even if he was to be superman they would have to make lots of him and that it woulden't of work out.
what a down to earth guy christopher reeve was, i agree with a previous comment, he really did sem to know his business well, how to act, how to apply himself, what he was thinkin at the time, yes superman's 3 and 4 did fall below expectations, but thats a given, cos u start to run out of ideas, and they tend to lose their way, 1 and 2 were fantastic, and a special shout out to gene hackman, absolutely nailed it as Lex Luthor
Read his touching biography written after his terrible horse accident in 1995 when he unfortunately became quadarplegic : Still Me edited to editions The Random House Publishing Group (USA) ISBN : 0-345-43241-X. Then, watch all his movies so that we dont forget him!
Enormous talent of Chris Reeve : actor (cinema and theatre), artistic director, writer, director of the Christopher Reeve Foundation. Attentive father of his 3 children. He wasnt only for 4-times the performer of Superman but he wonderfully played a lot of characters simultaneously in cinema and tv movies his repertoir filmographic was very impressive. In fact : handsome actor, talented, charismatic, sensitive, courageous, modest with a good sense of humour!
i agree 150%! he was my idol ever since i was little and i was so sad when he passed away. but he and dana are still my idols and my heart goes out to his children
Chris was so handsome and hot! but he also was very smart, even after he had the accident he never said NO! he said lets try to find a cure, the stood by his principles in trying to find a cure! he could beat superman's ass anytime,he was 1000 times better than superman!
@MJsGuardAngel Amen! He was definately a looker and his determination was a great example but remember he didn't believe he could stay alive. His wife, the beautiful Dana convinced him to live.
@MJsGuardAngel -- No he wasn't, Superman could almost life a whole building, shoot lasers, has ice breath, and is incredibly buff....so no superman would win
"Superman 1 and 2 are for the time capsule. Superman 3 and 4 are like 'Thank you very much, goodbye'"... His statement is regretably truthful... and his honesty is tremendously resptectable. Chris always respected the art of acting... such a shame we lost a great actor a few years back.
I wish Superman could fly around the world and prevent Christopher Reeve from falling off the horse.
