  • EWW . Why do u let shitty bugs get bear your phone ?

  • @thatswhatuget3248 Those S$^%&y bugs you speak of are very much responsible for the food you put in your mouth EVERY day. While I'm not asking you to go out and become a beekeeper, it would benefit you greatly to spend a small amount of your free time learning about Honey Bees, the benefit they provide to Gods Green Earth goes far and beyond what most people are aware of. Open your mind, learn a little instead of making a fool of yourself.

  • @Fentanyl3 LMSAOOO . I just hate Bees in my opinion . :/ Heheheh. :) I'll open my mind now LOOOL :D

  • How many bees do you think get crushed when you put the lid back on? XD

  • @nicolebmoviesFTW Well, I'm not real sure I don't normally count, it may be one, it may be 10, in the grander scheme of things, it's nothing. The queen will replace what gets mashed in about 2 minutes. You generally don't set anything down directly, you slide it on and it pushes the majority of them away.

  • @Fentanyl3 Oh, I know it doesn't really matter. I was just curious. XD Thanks for the reply, and keep up the good work!

  • i would have just added another super to the top then it would not have been so crowded but great vid anyway :)

  • @aceman4564564 Yeah, that's what I was going to do, the hive body laying on the ground there is what I was going to add to it. I hadn't realized there was so many bees there until I had tried to move them the night before and they were so crowded it would have been a joke trying to move them, they had bearded all the way to the ground. That tree wound up yielding three colonies two of which survived. I was wanting smoke so I could move them around a little, and check for a bred queen.

  • Nice

I plan to start a trpout on my grandmothers gum tree in the spring. Hope I can get as many as you did.

  • If you left that cell phone there long enough, they might seal it in propolis, haha! It might not work after that, hehehe.

  • I think they were getting salt from it, as they covered it almost immediately after setting it down, Ive heard of them sometimes needing salt and getting from things that had been held by sweaty hands.

  • Great & rare trap out video! I'm in my 5th week on my 3rd lure box & been having the smarter bees getting in the reduced end of the aluminum screen funnel cone. Counted 30 pieces of pollen knocked off the foragers still entering the "trap".

Checked last night & my 3rd lure box has about 4 deep Lang frames full & heard queen piping last week, so virgin queens bout to hatch or has this week. Have you ever tried those small new fangled bee escapes? Heard they're replacing the wire funnel cones.

  • Sorry I didn't reply earlier.

No i haven't even seen the escapes you speak of, unless it is similar to a porter escape. I find screen wire the easiest to use as it can be shaped rather well.
