  • your videos are always too dark.difficult to enjoy or view.

  • Awesome as always!

  • Good video! But it would have been nice to further explain why the 'Pilgrims' decided to come to America, and how they were helped by and helped the Indians.

  • to seek religious freedom they are common referred to as Puritans. Also they were helped by Indians because Indians see them as "god" with their advanced technology and being white lol. But too bad the Pilgrims slaughtered all of the Indians :( kinda sad many ppl dont even know that.

  • (Part 3)

The Pilgrims never 'slaughtered' the Indians, and in fact they signed a friendship treaty with them that both sides honored for about two generations.

It is sad that so many young people don't know history. The only history most young people these days want to learn is what a celebrity like Miley Cyrus did last night. The public schools today don't teach history properly because Liberals hate Christians, and want to paint them in a negative light. Yes, most Liberals are hypocrites.

  • Guns, Germs, and Steel ? Great book. Talks a lot about Indians Removal. Yes, Purtians are Separatists. Yes, Pilgrim did in fact killed the Indians. I can name a dozen of war against Indians from both New England and Chesapeake region just on the top of my head.

  • Name a war that the Pilgrims waged against the Indians. I would be surprised if they did not kill an Indian or several in self defense, but of course, that is not what either of us is talking about. Reading a book that focuses on how bad the settlers were gives a one-sided (inaccurate) view of history.

  • lol Guns, Germs, and Steel is a book about how European Conquistadores acquired land from the Indians using those 3 elements not how bad they suffered. What I'm trying to say is that Indians and settlers never got along. There was only a few cases like John Smith, who marries Powhatan as attempt to bring peace to the colonies but that didnt last for long. Leading to the 1st and 2nd Powhatan War.

  • (Part 2)

Squanto was brought to Spain by the slave trader Thomas Hunt, who tried to sell him (& others) into slavery, but instead Catholic friars bought him in order to instruct him in the Christian faith. When Squanto returned to his homeland (one year before the Pilgrims arrived) he discovered that his tribe and many others had been decimated by an epidemic plague. So the first 2 Indians who met the Pilgrims knew that Englishmen were not gods, and knew also that the Pilgrims were trustworthy.

  • KingKong (Part 1),

Pilgrims were Christians called separatists who wished to separate from the Church of England.

They were helped by the Indians because the Indians trusted them. The first native to contact the Pilgrims was Samoset - his first words were in English: "Welcome, Englishmen!". He had learned English while fishing with Englishmen off what is now Maine. He left & came back two days later with Squanto, who spoke English much better than he. Squanto had been to England 3 times already!
