  • This video is against god..we all must die because is waiting for us in heaven..!!

  • @Righter99 get the fuck out with your god shit.

  • @Righter99 Pathetic loser, your god doesn't exist

  • @Righter99 fuck of, i will fuck your god in his as becaus he is a fucking fag! this is reality! face it ! BITCH!

  • @Righter99 we don't have to die! We can just need to escape from cities and live in some villages or abandoned areas in harmony with nature

  • Black from Brown university lol!

  • Whaaat? You can't have a few drinks and cheat just a little? It's not the same as fucking up big things, this is really taking away human freedom. But according to latest events the future in 50 years looks more like in movie The Road.

  • what ever happened to "universal health care"?

  • @barr65 health care is NOT a right.

  • @hayden50 It is in more developped countries...

  • hay in the future if everything is automated then why would we need money all it is is a way tpo be compinsated for your work and to trade for things. if things coast zero to produce du to no more human workers then everything becomes free no more need for money we can then use a credit system based on your role in society to pay people so they can still get nice things for instance a teacher will make more than the president cuase education is more important

  • In the future the helth insurence culd consume a quarter of your selery, man this movie has soooooo much corporet SHIT in it just kills the hole idea.

  • Why is that hallway so narrow, why am I hearing French names but everyone has some sort of American accent (and the main doctor has some sort of British accent), and why does the NI room look worse than what we have today? I mean jeese, that handle broke when the guy tried to pull himself up everything is so crammed. I do like this series though, its just...weird. I try to look past the odd story writing and all the other stuff that doesnt make sense.

  • that lady who cancelled his insurance would hypothetically be a real evil b1tch! Oh and that guy is hypothetically almost exactly my age. I didn't think France had an insurance based health care system so why would they switch over to it?

  • that lady who cancelled his insurance would hypothetically be a real evil b1tch!

  • that lady who cancelled his insurance would hypothetically be a real evil b1tch!

  • being a doctor of the future isnt that a job(:

  • She calls him her friend and then cancels his insurance. Um. Mixed messages?

By the way feel free to mark these comments as spam.

  • Heh. I love the way he says neurons. Sounds like "nor-ons." I think if I'm making comments like this I need to go to bed.

  • Health insurance costs some men I know HALF of their salary now to cover their families. So a 1/4 of salaries in the future is an understatement. Also, Insurance companies shown here are intrusive spy agencies. Personal freedom is a commodity not offered in the future.

  • @InhumanCondition Hate to tell you this, but the insurance companies are already intruding and spying. The plan through my company provides a discount if you let the insurance reps take a blood test...that's right the insurance company takes your blood sample...they take your weight, smoking status and blood pressure too. If you fall into the right percentile you get a discount on your monthly premium. ( And if you don't, do they inform your employer?) Wake up, people.

  • Hackers will come to the rescue and after they've destroyed the IRS, they'll his big banks and insurance companies. It's doable ;-p

  • OMG, it's like your whole life depend on the government. You can loose your job because on of your patient die(which is not practice today unless you contributed to the death) and loosing your insurance after having some drinks, what kind of insurance is that? It control your life. I would rather choose to live in the present than in the future

  • thanks to health care reform, insurance companies wont be able to cancel your insurance.

  • i really doubt all this would happen in 47 short years...well some stuff may come true... and ya ya futuristic buildings might be built for kooler design w/e

but im talking about the space elevator and flying cars in just 47 years thats such bs

maybe in the year 2110 yea but not 2057...

  • @mercanaries3 are you kidding our technologies are growing fast. we have more tech in 2000-2010 then in 1950-2000. dam your so outdated.

  • @DoNotLaughAtMe

so u are saying there will be flying cars and traffic in the sky within the next 47 years?

lol...they say it like "in 50 years we will have this stuff" so in 50 years it will magically appear out of no where?

  • @mercanaries3 no not appear out of no where. they will soon appear, progressing. just like your computer how it needs to be huge, and now its flat in 5 years from year 2000.

Tech is growing at a high rate because of our population.

  • The lack of privacy in Professor Kaku's vision of the future is depressing and disturbing.

  • public heathcare is not good.

  • @Blastbox4 When you lose your insuures let hope dont have an acciedent. Dont they through you onto the scrap heap in the good ol us of a

  • well, this vid at least showed how us insurance companies treat their clients - grabbing for straws to deny payment.

it just blows my mind why americans are so against universal healthcare. as if it's perfectly normal to sell your house to cover medical bills!

  • @Muxxyy to say when we have this technology we will still use currancy makes me sick when we have the resources to treat everyone with the nessesities of life

  • @nicksyme Then you better be prepared to be sick for a long, long time. Currency isn't going away any time soon.

  • @vycka1234 lol my health care i fine i am canadian

  • are we really going to need to implant chips to bypass the spinal cord when we can simply regrow a new spinal cord with stem cell research?

Oh wait. this is America's future. No stem cell research and no universal medicare. Gotta love you god fearing automatons. We could all have a glorious future but you need to bring an outdated moral argument into the equation, and continue down the path of god and greed.

  • wouldn't happen in Canada. we have universal healthcare here.

  • dangerous... basically if u think about slapping your boss then it would actually happen

  • That's what happens when you don't have universal health care.

  • man!! why would that female doctor help that guy! if it would cost her, her job!?!?!? ohh i know!!! hahaha he cocked her ano!

  • 3:01 nice circle dude, way to raise the bar

  • make sure you save some of your normal non-intelligent clothes in case you need to hide out from the law in the woods somewhere without detection.

  • Or just put your clothes in a microwave for a few minutes, that'd kill the chips.

  • Brain chips not as apitising as lays chips

  • Ghost in the machine anyone? Oh, and 1984 :P

  • its a mixture of ghost in the machine, 1984 and rain maker with a little dude wheres my car thrown in

  • I need a brain chip to help me play guitar -_-

  • that guy is 62 years old?

  • the non insured ward doesnt even have steady electricity?? its sad an hilarious at the same time

  • fuck these insurance companies lol

  • @phlanxxx09 poor Usa...... Canada's government pays for your healthcare.

  • Oh, thats just cruel! D=<

  • no one will be alive in 2057

  • Elaborate

  • WW3, WW4, nukes, solar storm , asotrids, black holes, rising water which would bad since 75% of the earth is water so well all drownd golbal waring you stuff like extreme earthquakes tornados sun getting hotter an hotter which will end up with all of us buring earth getting nock of orbit so an ice age an an i really do think this will never happen an alien invasoin. now ever i just sayed can happen any time an they are all facts not made up stuff expect alien invasoin

  • Most of us will be around 60-70.

  • look every person who hates this kind of tecnology in the future is gonna end up being one of those old men who just complain about mordern life and how good it was in there young days

  • every movement we make is controlled by brain cells called 'Morons'... LOL!!

  • he said neurons.

  • Will the reconnection give back touch/pain?

  • insurance company are so evil trying to suck us dry

  • about stem cells?

  • Yes, what about stem cells? Why would they need electronic chips to reconnect damaged nerves when they will be able to grow them back using the stem cells extracted from the same body.

  • look Indrius. I have no idea. I think stem cells are the future. I think this video shows how technologies that we arestudying now to see how they could be utilized in the future. This microchip may be used if stem cells fail to work, but i really doubt it. Organs creation is biological for me. However i think that in the late 60s we will start to have chips installed within our body for eye zooming, keep recodrs of people and data and trasmistting our medical records.

  • the dead will walk again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • More like 'the paralyzed will walk again'.

  • Whatever annihilates freedom annihilates the person. Seeking to become gods they show themselves to be devils. Get ready.

  • FUCK FUCK DAMMETa

    shit oly fucktards

  • wtf THAT GUYS NOT 62 ASSTARD MORE LIKE 30 FUCK TARDS

unless HE TOOK AN ANTI AGING POTION

  • in 48 years americans will have socialized medicare... like the rest of the developed world

  • i agree, lets hope people have more logic than that.

  • "ya had a couple of drinks last night

    were just gonna abandon you

    prep the morge"

    -insurance co.

  • I'm not normally a violent person, but I would have no qualms about loading one of those flying cars with explosives and ramming it into that insurance company's building.

"So you've been paying us for the insurance for who knows how long for, but you've had a couple of drinks last night. Well, tough shit. Contact the morgue."

I know this is just a fictitious story, but I don't think Discovery portrayed future insurance companies this way by accident.

  • for reals man. just watching the insurancc company and the people who came to help him pisses me off. like why in the world would someone have to stop and see if the person has the right insurance just to save there life. then you have the insurance company spying on your every move. the guy couldnt even pee in the toilet which was the whole reason why he went in the bathroom.the whole insurance shit is lame but you just gotta love all the tech of the future.

  • I hope this health insurance cancer will never be installed in Europe.

  • You'd think in the future Americans would adopt socialized medicine.

  • That guys 62 years old... thats how old im gonna be at that time. OH NO!

  • i'm gonna be 67:((.....but i kinda get the feeling i will look older....mcdo is haunting mee

  • lmfao this is like a fuckig movie, sweet

  • 3:01-3:06 rofl that isn't a circle! hahahahahaahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaha!

  • With that kind of technology, we probably will be able to live for a very long time. And as for some people saying this future would suck to live in, it would really only suck for those who do stupid shit and don't like to follow the rules.

  • you sound like you enjoy being the governments bitch

  • Let's get one thing straight, fuck-nut. I'm not a bitch to the government. It's called, follow the rules and don't go through life acting like your shit doesn't stink. Don't think you're cool because you get high, or have 20 speeding tickets, etc. That's all I was trying to say, you DUMB-ASS.

  • Dumbass is one word lol!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're still the government's bitch!

  • Comment removed

  • this is some sad ass world to live in!

n y are the hallways to the hospital so small??? hahah

  • this whole future world would really suck.

  • FUCKING HMOsssssssssssss

  • i bet we're all gonna be old by 50 yrs...I'ma be 71...i hope they have a way to make me live up to 200 yrs or 250 yrs and make me look more younger like in my 30's.

  • Does Anyone Know What THe PC Logos Stand For?... What Happend To Mac's? lol

  • ill be 62 :O

  • Humiliating treatment for only taking a few drinks, I hope the future won't be like this , taking away freedom and controlling people like sheep. Sadly is going that way. We humans are the same apes of the past with better toys now. I hope we can develope better people.

  • Right well this video wasn't suppost to show you exactly what the future is going to be like. The whole thing was made to show you the technologies that are being developed.

The story was an extra, created to make this documentary more interesting and accessible. Face it, the vast majority of people don't care about science and tech and i think that's a real shame.

Some people see my videos as propaganda trying to subvert public healthcare and privacy which is really just paranoia.

  • I know it is fiction, I'm aware that tv producers can't foresee the future it was a comment on the story itself, like when you comment some part of a novel, give me some credit please.

Yet I think that sadly it is a very possible future.

  • @Striden12 Yeah, this program is just special effects porn. XD

  • @Striden12 I love thinking about the tech and science behind it all. And I'm 14. I don't just think "Oh, hey look, a flying car, that's cool", well maybe for a second, then I think "I wonder how much gas it'll take, and how much extra training will be needed to fly it, how will they make it achieve vertical take off AND landing safely?, etc."

But that's just cause I'm a huge nerd, especially with this sort of sci-fi stuff (which I guess clearly isn't sci-fi, now, eh)

  • that would be awesome! "O-ou, no transplant heart for you cuz of those sweets you ate a week ago! What we're you thinking! ... Well we can help you pick a nice coffin.."

    would crack me up

  • @tubotuyo I agree. But at the same time if you look at why they do it, it sort of makes sense. At the beginning of a policy, you have to prove you're in good health. Obviously people lie about it, but they get insured when in reality they're uninsurable. However I think stalking people like that invades privacy too much. But hey, we're in 2011. Who knows what 2057 will actually look like?

    Pretty goddamn interesting I think.

  • so i guess in 50 years there will be no attempts solve any of socities ills at all.

  • not trying to sound, u know, ignorant or anything, but this future is f'd up, i mean u have no freedom. you can't party, u can't get drunk, i mean seriously! I know people want to be safe, but at what cost?

  • Look, that was Platinum status insurance.

I really do think people gets a CHOICE for what they want.

All the future brings is more options, and for that, the costs and prices will also go up. So I think, only the rich can afford such things.

  • Is this an insurance ad?

  • Why is everyone so pissed off? These aren't meant to be irrefutable truths that destroy your perceptions of reality, neither are they a staging ground for angry religious nuts or dickhole atheists who just yell their pointless insults on those who choose to believe in some form of creation. These videos are just scientific extrapolations based on real world occurrences. They are meant to intrigue not enrage

  • Exactly what i've been trying to say. Some people watch video's like these as if it was the inevitable future.

  • When people start talking about insurance companies basically running your life and taking 25% of your income like we should all go along with it people need to get pissed off.

  • Wow do you mind not making racial slurs on these videos. You sound like a rambling racist idiot who can't make have a reasoned rational opinion.

  • idk about you guys but all this computer chips and shit being put inside of humans sounds like the mark of the beast 666, if u guys dont understand what im saying then get ur brain level up!

  • the guy is 62? were gonna have pretty good skin care in the future

  • @mindfreak445 The guy that died was 62. She was using the dead guy's identity for the other guy to save his life so he doesn't die too.

  • Hey what about Stem Cells and Cloning repairing tissues??? this is happening now! i think in 2057 we inject those cells in the damaged area.. and we rebuild it without crazy chips!

  • just cause you drank your insurence must get cut off and now no one can cure you that pretty stupid if you ask me.

  • Wow, your healthcare systems sucks. I mean if it sucks so much by 2050s imagine how it sucks right now w/t all these gadgets....

  • lol the problem about this video is that in the future there will be a universal health care system. but if there wasnt then this vid of the future is probably based in united states lol.

  • Yeah i think the american people are getting pretty fed up about their healthcare system (except for the very rich of course). Working universal healthcare is the right path.

  • Canada has free health insurance

    I am a canadian

  • yeah but when that brown guy came over here and got a stroke and they tried to treat im the legal system said no because he's not a citizen. i think this is fair but oh well

  • Damn, those insurance companies look evil. Glad i don't need one to be treated at the hospital where i live.

Lets hope the world on average goes a little more socialistic what health care goes within the next 50 years.

  • you guys should watch the documentary Sicko by micheal moore about the state of healthcare in the U.S its a very moving video. I suggest you watch it even if you don't like micheal moore the facts in that documentary are irefutable.

  • Curious, they talk about using wireless transmitters to assist in joint movement in paralyzed people, does that mean they do away with stem cell research?

  • Well, if stem cells don't work as planned, cybernetics will be the backup.

cybernetics could also be used to control robots from afar directly by thought. Opens new possibilities.

  • Fucking new world order. If you cannot even have a couple of drinks in the future without your insurance company knowing about it. That's pathetic.

  • Well lets hope insurance companies don't get that much power in the future. As long as we know it's wrong we can do something about it.

  • where is the 2057 The Body part 5 ?

  • Part 5 is up and running search "the body part 5" or something or go on my channel in my videos i only have 15 so it wont be hard to find.

  • Thanks I view it.

  • this is what hillary health care plan is half of your check is going for health care like it or not.

  • Yea healthcare is probably going to be like it show in this part of the series. They can cure you...for a price, which is kind of depressing. Public healthcare system is fail sadly as proven by the canadian healthcare system. Though i don't think complete privatisation is good either. Something which ill have to ponder...

  • I better get free fucking Health Care, or I'll fly my "hovering car" into both the Hospital and Insurance building. They better have floating McDonalds too, I might get hungry while doing it.

  • "I better get free fucking Health Care, or I'll fly my "hovering car" into both the Hospital and Insurance building. They better have floating McDonalds too, I might get hungry while doing it."

  • "I better get free fucking Health Care, or I'll fly my "hovering car" into both the Hospital and Insurance building. They better have floating McDonalds too, I might get hungry while doing it."

NO YOU DONT! INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE IN THE HOSPITAL! MAKE SURE YOU HIT THE INSURANCE COMPANY INSTEAD. THATS WHERE THE VULTURES ARE!

  • isnt that what happens now? No insuarance no health care. You dont have to wait for 2057 for that

  • not insured = death..... this is the beginning of the classism between those who can afford to live and those who die...the unwanted and poor

  • they can do this shit now but they won't.

  • costs too damn much...

    we need frickin gov't healthcare

  • We've got gov't healthcare in Britain - it's not as advanced as US healthcare and it does have it's problems (like gov't funding, politics etc).

It seems like it's floundering in these greedy times because it's non-profit.

Technology can only take us halfway there, the rest is up to our sense of morality as humans. After all, I would hope the future would be more enlightened than this!
