  • This gave me quite a few ideas to break out of the boxes! Thanks for posting your method of doing things. :D

  • @Midnightauro - No problems! It's a quirky little thing that I figured would help breaking my own boxes haha

  • Lucky! I wish I was Australian! I plan on moving to Perth after high school, so it's all good. :D

  • You should check out TheSimSupply channel. It has a lot of good tips like this. Good tutorial though.

  • that i would have never thought of doing that. i think im going to try it out:)

  • i like that idea!!

  • this might sound weird but i love your acsent! :D and this heled alot!

  • I don't think this will work with a open floor plan but hey I think you actually inspired me again thanks ive thought everything out or my new house and if i upload it be surprised at the garage and the house but i think the garage design :D

  • the six people who disliked this video are idiots!!!!!

  • I don't understand why some people call it the wall tool (like me), but most call it the outline tool. It's not really that big of a deal, but, talking to the people who call it the "outline tool", are you just saying that to be different or just hearing it from youtube you thought it was the correct term?

  • one resource I use is house pklans from eplans.com, you can search for # of bedrooms, stories, etc, the ratio isn't always exact, but some rooms like laundry make them even better.

for me it works cause I'm terrible at designing nice houses,or "nice" houses ha! BUt great tutorials, I watch everyone I can just to get some of the tips others have found.

  • @dakotacruz thanks for the website! im quite good at making houses but this website gave me some great ideas! Thanks :)

  • :O As soon as I heard you speaking, I was like "OMG, IT'S MURIEL", (and since you are Aussie, I am assuming you know who that is) and I did a little squirm in my seat. I love hearing our accent. (:

  • The floor plan you made looked really good from the outside and in the in too thanks for the help :)

  • You should really check out the site floorplanner its great its how i plan all my floors

  • Hi, I think this video was actually very helpful. I might not go soo far with the E shapes and stuff. Before I watched this, I was enjoying the part of making the family and designing the furniture, but dreaded build mode, I think you helped me get over some of that. I'd say I want to see more outside plants and patio kinda stuff. By the way I LOVE your accent. I have a boaring american voice, so you were also FUN to listen to. Sorry for SUCH a long comment! THANKS! :) <3

  • @Smileypopsicle101 - No problem :) Glad to help... dont be sorry for commenting, I love them!

  • thatks really helped ! keep making videos they really help !

  • i thought it was absolutely dreadful!

  • sound like the girl off lost

  • @falcn828 - haha cos we're both female and Aussie :P

  • @falcn828 u mean Claire?

  • I <3 ur accent! btw tanx alot, I am good at puttin in the furniture etc but doing the floor plan......I am terrible!!!! This helped me ^_^

  • @ShaneM996 - Glad it helped :)

  • Where you´ve done the kitchen & dining i´ll make a great room, and make the room above the actual living a kitching and the act. living a dining, beds and baths are OK, although you could´ve put one bath. on the big, and one bathin the middle of the 2 other beds.

but thats my long, boring opinion ;)

( sorry for my bad english xD)

  • I'd build a few high terraces with arches in the walls, and I'd have plenty of balconies. To be honest, the amount of times you cut out the floor here made the house incredibly small, it's going to be incredibly difficult to fit a double bed into a 3x3 room.

  • I like this idea. Good job.

    Blessedchild41

  • that looks really stupid!

  • im so glad i picked up sims 3 but theres one thing about sims 3 i find... SPORE IS BETTER lol just joking but it is pritty fun

  • Thats a pretty good idea u got there ;)

But i have hard to choose a floor before putting out the walls but i can always change the floor after i have put the walls out ;)

  • Thats a really good idea. :D it does help. Your accent is cool! :D

  • very creative thanks a bunch

  • Thanks for this, it was helpful! I unknowingly tend to make rectangle houses because I can't figure out a good floor plan.

  • I found myself doing that as well and then looked at the blue prints for actual houses as well as within the prima guide and noticed that they were odd shapes with random bits cut out and started doing what I explained within the vid. Be careful not to delete the same ones each time :P

  • Havent you got bored of the sims 3 yet? I hate it.

  • N-e-v-e-r! haha

  • how can u
