my love bird bites and it makes it hard for me to let her out of the cage im worried she will bite someone else she is not sociable how can i fix that i had her for almost 2 months still no progress :(
ok, i reacently got a hand reaised bird he is still a baby only just weaned.. the thing is he doesnt really play with any of his toys or anything, he's great with people but all he does is sleep when he's out of his cage and when he's in the cage he just trys to get out?
He is still a baby. Babies that are alone are more mellow than when they are with their brothers and sisters. Also, young birds still sleep a lot. His cage needs to be at last 24x24 if he is in it all day when you are not home. Also, he needs a playground outside the cage.
ohh okay thank you, well my bird is in a 18x18 ^^ but he is out nearly the whole day, just always sleeping till he get's into his cage, and is that why he doesnt play with any of his toy's? i brought him so much and he ignors them!
Also im working on getting him a play gym just i cant find a perfect one for him yet =).
He, he, keep telling yourself that "reptile boy" who says on his profile that he's 16. Adults know that their is no money in raising birds if you do it the proper way. The money comes from residual revenue in food, cages, toys, playgrounds, etc.
I'm NOT saying that YOU'RE mean for clipping their wings, but i think the idea of clipping wings is mean anywho i think they're so bloody damn cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm actually from sweden :( and as much as I'd like to get one of your lovebirds that'd be near impossible :P I'm just curious about pricing, I've heard 70-100$ is average in the states, here in sweden it's probably twice that.
aww, they are cute! They remind me of my little babies. Especially the pied ones. Hey, the kabobs. We sell those at the pet store I work at, but I was wondering if they were very good or not? My lovies loooove to shread.

What size cage do you recommend for a lovebird? Those four are ADORABLE by the way, and I love the names!
JustaSupergirl 4 years ago
I would say no smaller than 18"x18", with 1/2" bar spacing. That's our standard!
stargazrt4 4 years ago
Thanks! I've fallen in LOVE with these little birds!

If they love to shred, they will love the kabobs! We have made that a permanent addition to our toy stock for our flock!
