Many thanx Munawar.I'm very nostalgic about your town.I was 10 yr at that time.I passed 4th class from the local primary school,i think there was a nala near the school.My family used to live in Muhammad Ali Park, an open ground in front where we used to play.Further across the road was the govt hospital,where once I had a small operation.

My father was an agriculture Inspector,had his office in the town,nearby was a mandir.We left on 9 sep 47 on foot towards the canal,after shooting on 8th.

Thanks for the video,I am from Jaranwala but have not visited for 25 years. Lot more traffic now.I went to Govt high school and college.

I was born in Batala,so may be some body in India post similar video for Batala.

yaar mere tauji taa badee dukhi hoyee vekh ke. Jarnawala de halat kharab ho gai en pahle de mukable. Jarnawala de mandi(galla mandi) taa mashhuur se hoon taa mandi de buri halat en (as he told me) mandi kar ke taan jaranawala sahare vasyaa.

my dad told me that railway station is same as it was then they just change the colour of the building.the building was red before now it is painted white nothing else changed. Same building man. Dhabas(eateries) are there as before but they are empty now.

you did a great job. i am really glad that you take pain and video graph the whole area. my dad get disappointed after watching the video because the whole city lost

its charm. Jaranawala was the main market before 1947 and a rich place but in the video the place looks poor. It was not so before as my dad and uncle (tauji) told me.the city looks deserted and dirt poor now compares to old times.
