  • Timothy-The Bouys was in there

  • Focus may appear to have been one hit wonders in America but were not one hit wonders elsewhere. For example in the UK they had a much bigger hit than "Hocus Pocus" with "Sylvia", which is worth checking out. Another instrumental of theirs worth a listen is "House of the King" and indeed their albums deserve to be heard.

  • Timmy Thomas...."Why Can't We Live Together".....

  • I only remembered WHY CAN'T WE LIVE TOGETHER, by TIMMY THOMAS. I think it was the only one that reached the charts here in Brazil.

  • TOAST AND MARMELADE BY TIN TIN ---- CHICA BOOM ---- HOCUS POCUS----FOCUS---- HEAD EAST

  • one that's rare is timithy by the bouys. and you can get it from amizon.com it's a great cd..it has all the songs from the old album.

  • Hocus Pocus by Focus and Never been any reason by Head East where my 2 favs..Peaceout and happy 2012

  • My two favorite was Hocus Pocus and Chick-A-Boom .............nice memories of the glory years.

  • @hotstuffandicecream Hocus Pocus by Focus and Never been any reason by Headeast were my favs, peaceout

  • Well, this is fun, BUT without the songs identified, what use is it ?

  • Head East also had "Since you been gone"

  • Daddy Dewdrop - Chick-A-Boom ...

  • Tin Tin - Toast and Marmalade for Tea, one of my favourite songs ever....

  • I know almost every one of those. I might not know the first one, I will have to replay. I know Head East, Lighthouse, and Timothy by The Buoys.

  • I would hardly categorize 'Lighthouse" as a one hit wonder group.

  • I thought Head East had a second hit after "There's Never Been Any Reason"! {AKA "Save My Life I'm Going Down For The Last Time".}

  • GADZOOKS! Some of this stuff is awful and hurts my ears. Focus was a European group, Dutch if I remember, They spoke terrible English back in the 70s. They did several songs that I remember. They did pretty good for a band only known at the time by their country. Head East and Focus were not one hit wonders. Head East did a lot of music and reminded me of one of the first arena rock groups. They could really ROCK with the best. Then there is Lighthouse a Canadian band were maybe ten hit wonders

  • Head East was pretty popular...eventhough most people only know that one song.

  • @RapIsDeadly yes Head east has more hits then just one, i was recently at a head east concert to were they prefromed a couple of great songs

  • Excellent, but I hear Lighthouse in there and they had about 5 HUGE Hits!!1 Like Sunny Days, (Sitin stoned alone in my back yard...) and Pretty Lady. Still, fun

  • Chickaboom Chickaboom by Danny Dewdrop,1971...Timothy by The Buoys, 1971...Why Can't We Together by Timmy Thomas, 1973....One Fine Morning...Save My Life, by Head East, 1972...Hocus Pocus by Focus, 1972

  • the 4th song was timothy by the bouys!

  • How about Don McLean's "American Pie"?

  • @Jiltedin2007 Don McLean had a few other hits, such as "Vincent," "Dreidel," and a remake of Roy Orbison's "Crying."

  • @bheffley2002 I never heard of those hits from Don McLean.

  • Does anyone know what that "Red Indian " sound type song was early to mid 70s. Im sure i never imagined it /

  • save my live i,m going down for the last time............ its not "going west" and thats not the title just a hint

  • forgot "midnight at the oasis" by maria muldaur - june 1974, AM radio at its finest...

  • The last song is Never Been Any Reason by "Head East" Awesome band......

  • lighthouse was a great band, r u talkin bout u.s. hits only?

  • One Fine Morning was just one of Lighthouse's hits. They performed at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970. Great Canadian band!

  • tin tin toast and marmalade chick a boom daddy doo drop one fine morning lighthouse timothy bouys why cant we live together

  • @chupas2526 Timmy Thomas, Hocus Pocus by Focus . The last one is by some hyphenated offshoot of Leonord Skinnord, but the name escapes me (and probably the spelling ;--))).

  • @lrd9999 Well, the last one wasn't the Rossington-Collins band after all and I had to do a lyrics search to find it, so I won't cheat by listing it. It was from 1975, but I don't remember hearing it that far back.

  • :38 Hocus Pocus.. by Pocus

  • :15 Daddy Dewdrop - Chick-a-boom (don't Ya Jes' Love It)

  • hola , me gustaria saber como se llama , la 5ta cancion, porfavorr

  • @rodinabar

Se llama "Why Can't We Live Togehter (Porque No Podemos Vivir Juntos) cantado por Timmy Thomas, 1973.

  • Barely Manenough should've been a 1-Hit Wonder!

  • Toast and Marmalade for Tea was the first song

  • yes i can the last was head east...the first tin tin, hocas ,pocas..focas mmmm

  • yes i can the last was head east...the first tin tin, hocas ,pocas..mmmm

  • yes i can the last was head east...

  • Jethro tull is hardly what you might call a 1hit wonder. you might have had me at ten cc or something.

  • The first song: Toast and Marmalade for Two, by Tin Tin (1970)

  • 0:43-0:48

"Never Been Any Reason" by Head East

  • 0:38 to 0:42. Hocus Focus by Dutch band Focus.

  • 0:21-0:25 is Lighthouse, hardly a one-hit wonder! I'd Be So Happy in 1971; You Girl and Sunny Days were big hits for them in '72; then there was Pretty Lady in '73. Set the Stage went gold in the same year. Multi-hit wonder really.

  • I'm trying to remember a song/artist from the 70's. The end of the chorus went " and he knew very well it'd be easy as hell for a one night stand". Any help? thanks.

  • @MrJoenowak are you sure about those lyrics? ive searched for the las hour and cant find anything at all anywhere with those lyrics.....do you by any chance have any more lyrics from the song? ill be glad to look more

  • this impressed me great channel bobbymercy1

  • Thank you very much. It was Austin Roberts.

  • Perhaps you can help me. There was a song in the mid 70's about "Rocky">not Rocky Balboa. It was a male singer and some of the lyrics went like this, "Rocky I never had a baby before", kind of a sad song seems to be about his wife who is dying. The station I listened to normally played the top 40 Songs at that time. It was a northeast state.

  • Rocky by Dickey Lee. If you want the mp3 give me an e-mail I can send it to.

  • Never mind. It's available on YouTube. What an amazing coincidence. Today is Dickey Lee's 73rd birthday.

  • Sorry. But now I remember the version you're thinking of was done by Austin Roberts; also available on YouTube.

  • @999YORK It seems that the Austin Roberts and Dickey Lee version were both released in the summer of 1975, the former was on the Billboard Hot 100 while the latter was on the US country chart. The Roberts version was also on the UK chart later that year. I never knew Lee had recorded that song until now.

  • The Buoys....They were an area band and played at our high school after "Timothy".....Took my first date to see them when I was 16.
