a.) Universal health care protects citizens and saves government money. They oppose it.
b.) Gay rights are logical. No mandated prayer in schools is logical. Religion overwhelmingly is not. Guess where they stand?
c.) Republicans love deficit spending even more than Democrats.
P.S. I'm not a Democrat. I'm a registered Libertarian, but I vote in the D primary because it's larger.

The only reason Government paid healthcare would cost us in this country is because the rich wouldn't be funding it by paying higher prices for better coverage than the person next to them who actually needs that coverage. If you get pulled over, the officer sees a weapon, or finds one, it is loaded, you have no permit, you will indeed be arrested. Get a grip. You cannot carry your AR-15 around loaded no matter how (unconcealed) it is. Put a big sign on your car saying (I am transporting a loaded AR-15) with me for protection.

@amyhuk The comment you replied to was asking you if you put 60 percent of your income into the govt. Why avoid that question first off? Since it was a huge "win" for you apparently to say that. Sharing is putting an amount percentage relative to your income in, to lessen the cost across the board, for those with less income than yourself as well. So, if you make 250k a year and have to pay higher taxes, you are still rich anyway... Greed is pointless.

@JbmxG89 someone who makes 250k but pays 60% of it in taxes only really makes 150k year. now if he was allowed to keep that extra 100k he would BUY stuff in the economy. or invest it in new possibly "green" technologys. it would stimulate the economy making jobs availiable to all 0% unemployment. everybody wins. but since the govt steals it the money evaporates and is stuck in pork barrel "shovel ready" jobs that only benefit a very very small connected elite few. who make more than 250k

@amyhuk Where do you see them having to pay 60 percent of it? Making 250k a year applies a 33 percent federal tax on your taxable income. That is still 167,500. The tax vs. economic spending is moot. Think about it. If he spends that 86,000 that was taken in taxes on products at 6 percent to the dollar, that is not creating the same amount in taxes, not nearly at all. If he buys items which apply no tax whatever... etc. Now the guy making 167,500 a year is taxes 28 percent. He still makes less.

@amyhuk "Elite" few? The government proportions the money collected and sends the state's their budgets. The STATE governments are what halt the flow of that money into job creation. In my state it took 8 months after the money was received for ANY highway jobs, warehousing jobs, etc. to start receiving that incentive money to hire employees that was supposed to go out almost immediately. @amyhuk That money "now" hasn't helped states in the least. It was meant to help get jobs created ASAP, not when all the other "states" had spent theirs. This country isn't about state vs. state, at least I'm hoping it hasn't come to that... The point is, when federal stimulous money is given for a specific purpose, the state should have that money going to the purpose right away. "true democracy" will never exist, just like "true communism". We both know our ideals won't ever be met.

@amyhuk creates problems for the neighboring states. Let's say your state, New Hampshire doesn't require permits to purchase, carry, etc. anything excluding fully automatic rifles. Now come down to my state, PA, and the rules are a bit different. So someone from here will find it much easier to attain the guns he wants from a random person in your state who gets a lightbulb in his head that says "I can make lots of money reselling". It's too imbalanced. Things need balance, structure.

@amyhuk Wrong. IF people were able to ALL abide by the rules to not commit murder, then yeah, cool. WHEN people USE a tool to COMMIT a crime, that tool should NOW be taken away from the public. That's my whole consequence thirst. "Guns don't kill people". True. But people have a much easier time committing that murder with a tool. You have no reason to need a semi-automatic weapon. A small handgun would help you protect yourself all the same. Just because you "want" something, doesn't = right.

@amyhuk Why is all of our infrastructure and transportation behind other countries? Because the STATES need to appropriate their budget out. Hell, local city mayors can spend tax dollars taking council to court over stupid shit. As seen in a town in my state called emmaus. Now cities are starting to put higher taxes on people who work in the city but live outside of it. Since other cities are NOT doing this it creates the imbalance. Now you have those people quitting their jobs to avoid the tax.

@JbmxG89 here is another reason why communism fails...ahem you make everyone productive so their are plenty of goods flooding the market making the vallue of those goods less. but then you also give most of the goods away making them worthless. and you pay everyone the same making surplusses of cash to buy needed items unavailiable. you devalue your own goods and make foriegn goods more desirable. in essence you do EVERYTHING ass backwards economically

The outsourcing our country has resorted to increasingly so in the past few decades has inevitably left us without much CAPITAL. The lack of actual control by our government has resulted in the misappropriation of the money that banks should have put in CAPITAL instead of in their executives' pockets. My idea is to start making consequences for actions. As it stands right now everyone is content with "It was just a mistake".

No. When you purchase a computer, a dvd player, a game console, etc. Anything that runs on software, you own the hardware only. So by accessing the keys of the drives, and/or access to the full system schematics, to the point where now people are using this information and the keys to allow pirated games to be played on the systems...

Adding modifications to the SOFTWARE that you DO NOT OWN, is illegal. You should not own a product to the point of being able to completely take it apart. You buy a cd player, do you OWN the songs on your CD's? Do you OWN the songs on your ipod? You OWN private access to them. You do NOT own the software/music. You have the right to enjoy, not modify
