Round 1 was pretty damn tied and btw don't be fooled by the amount of attacks. If you watch well, hoost was more agressive than Hug but Hug's attacks were more effective. Both good fighters it was a very good fight. They were well matched.

@ATACXGYM Hoost and Hug fought in the 1997 final, which Hoost obviously won. They did meet again in the 1999 quarters which resulted in another victory for Hoost. Overall, they fought four times, the other match (aside from this vid) being in 1995. Again, Hoost won.

@TAEKWON21 I absolutely agree.But Hoost was tiring and he def needed to fix the cardio problem. He did fix that problem and cleanly took Hug in their rematch in--what was it--1998?

@ATACXGYM Hoost and Hug fought in the 1997 final, which Hoost obviously won. They did meet again in the 1999 quarters which resulted in another victory for Hoost. Overall, they fought four times, the other match (aside from this vid) being in 1995. Again, Hoost won.

Points wise, I agree, but I'm glad it went extra, cuz Hoost was mainly damaging Andy's legs, but Andy wobbled Hoost near the end of the 3rd. I still think Hoost shoulda won after the 2 extra rounds. But man, 2 warriors/champs!
Love the Japanese rules here, extra rounds, late clinch separation, this was the good old days of kickboxing.

If I remember correctly Hug is one the shortess fighters in K-1, when he was competeing. So alot of punching up and extreme flexiblity needed.

What a soulful fight!!
Both andy and hoost are GREAT fighter!! I like them so much!!
However I become aware of something artificial ,that is to say that ,at the extra round 2,it seems hoost lead the match a little.
I want K-1 to judge more cleanly.
