  • whats that little stick thing you use called

  • yo dude this is pretty sick i ve been working with spraypait on a larger scale for about a year and just started doing more poster size stuff but quick quustion what are you using to make those white lines at 1:50? thx

  • @SPACEPAINTER You need your own tv show, your one of the best artists on youtube.

  • whats the optical illusion?

  • يجننننننننننن 3>

  • wow this is amazing:)

  • What are you using at 1:45 to make the water falls? just card?

  • You, sir, are amazing!

  • Is your website working or is it just me? I really want to check it out D:

  • Beautiful work. What tool were you using to carve out the waterfall? How did you keep it wet long enough to play with the water?

  • This was done on my birthday, I feel special now.

  • WOW!!!

  • How do you sell your paintings

  • beautiful.

  • bob ross of spray paint

  • what type of spray paint do you use? high gloss or something. never really tried this type of art or anything of the sort. i was into music back when i was in school but watching these videos has unlocked an entirely new creative desire. This is the closest thing to amazing since holding my newborn daughter. I'm sure I'll get some negative posts about that but seriously when I watch these videos all I can say is "Wow". I have to try this. Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated. AMAZING!

  • @Drewcevus thank you kindly, I use glossy rustoleum spray paint, shake them cans really well and try to paint in warmer weather or warm your cans to room temp before painting, best of luck, go for it!

  • My name is Brandon too! This is better than what I see and learn on Art School (Studying Art)

  • @FutJJ nice to meet you Brandon :) thanks for you comment.

  • nice

  • ever though about selling your work? id be interested in buying some :) and what kind of paper did you say you used for this?

  • @cheetoo863 Yes I have been selling my art for 11 years. I use poster board paper and paint on the glossy side.

  • woooww!!

  • @jokerock69 thank you

  • One of his best

  • @22wall thanks 22wall

  • @Svenenkoen your paint is too dry. Use clear And go over the top of where your trying to do it and it will react with the paint again to make it moveable hope it helps :)

  • :0

    my face the whole time

  • I really love those spray paintings and i try to make them at home to.

i just wonder what kind of paper you use ( shiney white coating paper or just normal paper?

While making these spacepainting i notice that when you use the kind of art palette knife or how do you call that... i figure out i won't get the nice white lines that you can ( as tops of rocks and so). Can anyone tell me how i can scrape those white lines , often used on rocks nice, instead of a colour where the white isn't white

  • @svenenkoen You can start out by using A4 photo paper, works really well and cheap. The white line effect you are looking for is simply scraping back the paint to the white of the photo paper and as supra pointed out if your paint dries and you can't scrape through it, simply add some clear (laquer UK) and it will thin the paint so you can scrape again.

  • add some music bro

  • i dont see the optical illusion but your painting is still awesome

  • Ur paintings and ideas inspire all the time.. :)

    Thank you for those..

Would like to know what kind of paper you use..

and if i try this with oil or acrylics will a photo gloss paper suit for this??

    Kindly do lemme know..

    Thanks in Advance Painter :)

  • I absolutely love this guy (no homo).

  • How long does it usually take you for 1 painting???

  • How much?

  • What is he doing with the mag pages, more texture scratching?

  • Amazing detail

  • Very mind blowing this is a great peice of art work do your thing man.

  • my eyes be like O_O

  • This is amazing, but I don't get how it's an optical illusion.

  • @CaptainAawesome Probably referring to the depth he creates in this painting.

  • Mind. Blown.

  • dose he only do paper paintings or can he do them on walls

  • These paintings consume me. I can stare into them for hours. They are better than any TV show. They are absolutely amazing.

  • @TutorialsByAlexTuts thank you very much and thank you to everyone who watches my videos. I appreciate it .

  • amazing...O_O

  • For those who wonder why he does the "same thing" over and over, I'd like to point out that it's made clear that his preference as far as spray painting is making outer space landscapes (as his username is "spacepainter" after all). He's not shy about it. He's shown in other videos that he's capable of creating other things. His technique is quick, clean, and well done. However, I will always love the space paintings the most.

  • @BlackAndBlueStainz Also I would like to add if you stick with one type of painting like "space" as he does your going to become extremely good at it.. so theres no need to do anything else

  • @BlackAndBlueStainz Thank you, also sometimes as in this case I dont have a choice as to what to paint because someone has order a custom request from me.

  • This probably my favorite video of his

  • @Duphe, I think the reason for this is because there is only so much you can do with spray paint painting. To do much else requires you to use stencils which are a bit less impressive. Adding to that, to get more intricate details and really amaze people would require just drawing on the paint with pallet knifes which is no longer just painting. This is the drawback to this type of art IMHO. You end up hitting a point where creativity in your designs is limited.

  • how the fuck can you do this??!!! WOW! AMAZING BRO! :D

  • \_O_/ | / \ bow to you sir

  • LSD makes this art seem divine

  • nice fucking art

  • this is not art its god on paper

  • that is so amazing well done.

  • Who thinks xgothimox is jelaous? lol you are amazing boy!!

  • @xGothimox u r just plain jealous

  • You should like... Design heaven or sumthin. ;)

  • thats amazing you should sell art like that on the street or you can have a class

  • That's too cool.

  • sick O_o

  • why are all of these paintings the same?

you always have some rock stuff in the front making a half circle and then you have a planet at the top. this isnt a master piece, youre just copying everything youve done before.

  • @xGothimox oh shut the fuck up

  • @xGothimox i dont know if u have ever heard this word before but its called STYLE, and i if that is what he likes to make than whats wrong with that, besides, i doubt u can come even remotely close to painting this

  • @xGothimox i dont know if u have ever heard this word before but its called STYLE, and if that is what he likes to make than whats wrong with that, besides, i doubt u can come even remotely close to painting this

  • No music FTW!!

  • Unbelievable rattle can work! I would like to see a wall painted like this instead of all those word tags you see everywhere you got some talent there!!!

  • ur paintings cost too much lol

i would buy it if it was like 20 bucks lol

  • excellent use of value, specially on the bubble surrounding the castle.

  • halfmastmutiny is on it. Great picture! Great illusion!

Too bad your camera couldn't get it into digits for you.

One of the biggest jolts EVERY art student does is when they wander into an art gallery at some point.

Chicago Art Institute has "Free on Tuesdays" and I drove 135 miles North to go.

They had to drag me out

    (I fell asleep)

    no...

It was GREAT! LIGHT IN the paintings! Made you SQUINT to see them!

but, halfmast's point and answer is, keep at it.

Don't quit too early, but, evolve more.

  • I see many illusions actually. perhaps it is my own twisted mind thinking the banks of the waterfall are comprised of dead bodies.

  • i am the only one who caught themselves with their jaw wide open till the end. ?

  • didnt see the illusion but this is reallt kool, i <3 the detail in the start of the water fall thing with the spires and the wonding flaring satircase (if thats what its suposed 2 b -_-)

  • awesome

  • can you do this but on a wall?

  • @Ruby95v I'de venture a guess

His technique calls for a thick application of paint, and he uses things to either slow drying down or for lifting. Wall painters are to anal (my opinion) about drips. If your design had elements of stems or long skinny legs, then it might work on a vertical surface.

There's also the idea of color over color and using the drips by taking a magazine page and swiping the entire bottom in a horizontal swipe to make a "ground"...

but then, I don't spray paint, so. d=^))

  • I don't see the optical illusion but this is suuper amazing :) how much do you usually sell you paintings for ?

  • dont see how its an optical illusion but what i do see is that its freaking awesome :P

  • What is the tool that ur using to highlight the rocks called?

  • @weirdercize a palet knife

  • Damn. When my friend first showed me this I said "Thats so fucking cool!"

  • I could do that any day

  • I wiped my ass with magazine once, it made patterns :)

  • what kinda material are you using to paint on? And can you uce any spray paint for this or a certain kind?Talk about just using some basic materials and your coming out with some wild and beautiful works. Great stuff, im deffinatley going to try this, dam i just spent like 500$ on airbrush equipment, and could have just went and got some spray paint and some cans and made a master piece :(.. .

  • @franky5angels77 if you notice, he's using rustoleum gloss spray paint, found anywhere that someone sells spray paint, only about 5-7 bucks a can...

  • YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY OMG >.< FUCK IT LOOKS AWESOME!

  • Pure Talent. Amazing work!

  • do you need to wear a gas mask while spray painting stuff like this? jw.

  • @illestDUBSTEP

I think you're supposed to wear a mask if you're spraypainting indoors. Not entirely sure, but as far as I know. :)

  • I wanna buy!

  • holy shit dude....this guy is pretty fucking AMAZING!!!

  • Thumbs up if you see the sleeping lady bottom left corner at 3:45

  • Reminds me of jackson pollocks style. he used a brush to fling paint at an empty canvas. Youre doing something similar with spraycans. The only thing is youre making something concrete out of the paint while pollock's is abstract.

  • I would pay 10,000 bucks for that.

  • thats fucking amazing dude !

  • i do the same thing as him

i have to hold my hand to steady it Xp

  • I guess the illusion is just perspective. He did a fantastic job of fore-shortening to make it appear that the painting has depth (IE you perceive the upper waterfall to be behind the lower waterfall). It's a trick that has been used in paintings since painting began, but very effective nonetheless.

  • I like it but wheres the illusion??

  • You should really sell these. I would love to have some in my room :D!

  • I am really liking this one! Great work here!

  • i love your work

  • so where's dat optical illusion?

  • @riookierin I think the "illusion" is the depth. A flat piece of paper looking like 3 dimensional scene with multiple planes and levels

  • Dangggggggggg!

  • cool

  • its a painting of an optical illusion...

  • Dude, how are you not a world famous painter? What ever happened to world famous painters? It seems like mankind has [d]evolved into a classless race. We no longer apprciate art, instead we appreciate the idiots we see on TV. We as humans need to learn to look back onto the things that are truly beautiful, and what you see before you here, is in fact, beautiful.

  • @halfmastmutiny couldn't have said it better

  • @halfmastmutiny also the fact that now days in society where we have created the ultimate book of knowledge you take for granted and call the internet, people no longer have to study lifetimes and spend entire careers and spend thousands of dollars to research information that wasnt accessible on demand like you now have your phone let alone the other 3 other devices the average american has with web access in their house hold. Not saying this guy isnt a brilliant talented artist, because he is.

  • @halfmastmutiny When he dies he will be famous artist only become famous when there dead

  • The optical illusion is that it appears to take only 3 1/2 minutes to complete when, in reality, it took much longer. It's edited to preserve secret ancient techniques that have been in his family for over 400 years. If anyone were to witness him using these techniques their eyes would have to be gouged out with a grapefruit spoon and he would immediately be beheaded by a member of his own family. This is serious business!

  • my only conclusion is that.....you sold ur soul to the devil for ur painting skills...-.-

  • That's really good man and what kind of paint do you use

  • Brilliant !

  • MORE ! MORE ! MORE ! WE WANT MORE !

  • Im not sure how you made that or anything... But i would so love if you became my teacher and you would show me how to do that..

  • nice!

  • WAOW ! GREAT !

  • brilliant

  • This guy is amazing.

  • though I have to admit that your pictures are great I dont see any progress in your work. you make more or less the same motive over and over again and even that I have to admit the technique is inspiring, the artwork in the end is not.

  • @Duphe Well, this guy is interested in space. Let him paint space. He draws whatever he wants.

  • @Duphe lets see what you can paint with spray paint.

  • @Duphe you cant improve on perfection

  • @Duphe can you do better?

  • @Duphe its hard because people keep ordering the same paintings over and over from me. ill try some new stuff soon.

    thanks

  • @spacepainter tI will be back to watch :)

  • I know it, but hard to explain it in english ^^''

  • This just looks so real...

  • Pure awesomeness

  • It's kind of surreal that i can watch this video and then glance up and see the exact same thing above my bed. ;)

  • Amazing! Pure Talent!

  • i'd bet you don't learn any of those techniques in an art school. so cool

  • @OcelotPwns you dont= (

  • i dont see the illusion

  • OOOOH left handed thats explains his talent

  • Once again, just fantastic. You're one for me was awesome and this is once again incredible. Bravo sir. Bravo indeed.

  • Truely amazing

  • how is this an optical illusion?

  • @ArtWithRob ...

  • I'd love to buy this piece!

  • this is too extraordinary to be real

  • Does the magazine thing work because the paint is still wet?

  • @xlxbigcat95xlx yes.

  • U make it look so easy and simple, but afterward I'm telling myself Wow! I didn't even see u put in that little swirl and rocky towers above the water falls.

  • Mr.Mconnell Why Are You Spraypainting with your wedding ring on? ;)

  • This takes 0 skill when it comes to spray painting

  • @britishboy26 u cant draw a house

  • @britishboy26 how?

  • dude, if you can more of these, you can sell them and make millions...

    just sayin...

  • how's this an optical illusion?

  • @HeartlessOcean9

    the illusion of depth

  • @HeartlessOcean9 it's an optical illusion because what's in front of the Earth looks like something on Earth itself.

  • @HeartlessOcean9 Idfk but it looks pretty damn good.

  • @HeartlessOcean9 the thumbnail kinda looks like a blue nuclear explosian :l

  • @HeartlessOcean9 technically speaking. All art that mimics a 3D space on a 2D surface is an optical illusion.

  • @HeartlessOcean9

the water fall came from other planet

  • @HeartlessOcean9 maybe because of this "mirror-effect" on the water... idk

  • @HeartlessOcean9 It might not have the same effect on you, but it messed with my depth perception, as if it were a three-dimensional image.

  • @HeartlessOcean9 The depth of it

  • @HeartlessOcean9 you dont see the different depths of the waterfalls?

  • Amazing and fantastic :D

  • i am definately going to try this come summer, do you have a deviantart page?

  • you shoud go to the german show called "Das Supertalent"

  • Amazing.

  • i need to buy it.

  • That is soo cool

  • your art work is beyond me
