He described accurately firefly like phenomenon outside the Saucer while outside the Earths atmosphere. Something which was not known until the first manned flight. How did he know? If it was a guess it was one of the all time greatest guesses. Did he just make it up? That is very doubtful.

Don't get me wrong I know any real science is perfect, but our science still in development so still have some mistakes.
I really believe in ETs and I would like to meet them one day, maybe when I die I could go freely thru space for a while.
