  • Thanks for the comment. Sorry to announce that the layout has been dismantled. I needed a work space for my auto repair business. I did save all of the rolling stock and most of the structures. Maybe in the future I will rebuild the WC+E.

  • @ktumbleweed You always need a hobby to unwind. Good luck with your business.

  • Looks like a very well thought out operational layout. Thanks for sharing it. Make more videos!

  • Yea just saw your video, your layout is looking great !

  • I know this is a 08' vid, but yer yard is really kewl!!! idk if you've done more with it in the past 2 years but I like it! I have a stub-ended yard with 7 tracks with one Arrival/depart. track. Im a big fan of Rail-Yards and mine always keeps me busy. I do not have a car card system, but I still have fun switching random cars and making/breaking up trains! how many cars do you have?

  • Looking good.

  • What are the dimensions of the Webster Yard area? It appears to be about 2 feet wide, what is the length?

  • kick ass keep up the good work!

  • Great lay-out. Do you work on it every day ?

  • I wish that I could. I started my own auto repair shop recently, and that is taking all of my time. I have not put any real work into the layout for almost a year.

  • This is cool. I like the way the track design works with itself. However the only thing I don't like it the locomotive tracks being so close to the curve. Hell of a job though. keep it up!

  • how big is your layout? very nice design

  • overall it's about 11' x 22'. The main section is about 5.5' x 13' with a 2' x 22' extension.

    thanks for the comment.

  • Noticed you have a Dewars Wharehouse in East Webster. Dewars often shows up on my running nights. Good luck with the layout Bill

  • Thanks for this post. I can tell the hours that must have gone into the planning. That's half the fun; the other half is working on it. Once it's done, you'll have a work of art.

  • if you dont mind me saying but i think you need more BN locomotives not BNSF and UP even for your small layout.

  • Very nice switching layout !!

  • Nice job on the layout. I am working on one

myself about a 12'x 20' but will have a circle

and a hiden staging. I run a lot of steam and

have a 90" turntable. I am also doing some

scenery. How long does it to switch your railroad? Are you going to have signals or run

    off of track warrents?

  • I am running on track warrants for now. I may add signals some day. I can keep a 3 man crew busy for at least 2 hours during an op session.

  • Hey, Excellent Layout so far mate. Good look with your future work on it and i hope all goes well. Nice video 5*. Be sure to check out mine as i have lots of model railway videos. Where did you get your containers from, shown at 00:50?? Thanks

  • I dont think those are containers that you are speaking of. I think they are just railcars. everything on the layout came from various hobby shops or from model trains shows. I will be sure to check out you're videos. thanks for watching mine.

  • Very Nice. And Very informative!!!

  • awesome layout so far, way better than mine!

  • Hey! What's up? I just checked out one of you're vids. I like you're layout. its got more scenery than mine. keep up the good work. did u check out my latest vid "switching webster yard"?

  • thanks! yea i did, i gave it 5 stars!

  • Great layout you've got working there. I may have to get my N-gauge up and running. Of course, it does help to have the track and road bed :-).

  • Thanks for watching my video. See ya trackside.

  • Thanks for the tour of your model railroad. It looks like you've got lots of potential for a great railroad. I'm also glad you're happy with your Lenz DCC system. I'm still in DC, & shopping around, & would like to go DCC soon. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for you're comment. I am very happy with my Lenz DCC setup. My dad uses a Digitrack system and he seems to like it ok. When shopping for a DCC system find a hobby shop that has the system you're thinking about and try it out before you buy. Each system has a different way of operating each function and option. Programming is different on each one. Take the time and find one that works for you.

  • Thanks for your suggestions. I'll be watching for future updates.
