I didn't hate this movie. But I went into it with really, really low expectations and heard it was a ripoff of "The Departed", so maybe that's it.

You lament the Eva Mendes masturbation subplot, and what's with a Mark Wahlberg movie where he doesn't even take off his shirt?

How the hell does Eva Mendez keep getting cast in these big movies?

Granted, she's never played any more than the token 'girlfriend' but she's such a worthless actress (anyone else suffered through her alleged performance in GHOST RIDER) I can only imagine that vast quantites of world-class head must be given at the Mendez house every night for her to score these plum gigs.

And she looks like a tranny. A particularly HOT tranny, but a tranny nonetheless.
