This (gksudo nautilus) only works for the first account you create on the system, because it's in the admin group. Create another use without any permissions and it won't work.
thank you very much for this! i was struggling as a newbie to setup a 64bit ubuntu with the new 64bit flash alpha, and was unable to copy the file to the firefox plugins folder cause only root had permission, which i wasnt able to logon to.

I am using ubuntu 10.10 and there is Login Screen instead of Login Window. And I don't see that function to log in as root. Help plz.
