  • Thank you so much!

  • I think I'm a fan of Carl, I attended several gigs in the past two years, and maybe I'm getting more demanding... But as I'm watching the video, I'm wondering : with all the songs he wrote or co-wrote when he was either in the Libertines, DPT or solo, why doesn't Carl widen a bit more his setlist ? At the moment, he and his band juggle with a bunch of 20 songs, a kind of best-of that people want to hear... That ends up being frustrating, considering the potential...

  • @LynetteIDE this is very very true, someone should really tell Carl this, not to bring him down but because we know hes capable of SO much more. We can't let him slip into a comfortable puddle of mediocrity...but who can say this to him? Not to be nostalgic or cliche, but if only bilo would come around saying "Top of the world or bottom of the Canal!"

  • @thedancingone I agree, even if I'm not sure that "Bilo" is the solution right now...

I know Carl can be both a remarkable performer and guitarist, he proved this on some acoustic sessions (like Napster sessions with DPT, or the showcase in Rough Trade last year), and with his last EP. But I dunno, since his last tour he seems to set in a kind of 'routine'. Maybe is he trying too much to meet everybody's expectations with the setlist, and forgets about what he'd like to play ??

  • at 10:10 he looked straight at your camera :)

  • it's too bizarre the cello on Death on stairs! I know it's his and the Libs song so he does what we want with it, still it sounds like a sacrilege!
