  • Your very talented! Keep up the good work!

  • Ok thank u I will I added u on Facebook and Twitter as well. Now.I have to study all your videos I'm new in art

  • @FrankieKato149 :) If you have any questions I'm always around and will reply :)

  • Please do a video on shading in and also drawing the nose and lips r such a pain for me pleasehelp any advice? And when you start a portrait do u start with the eyes or ears?

    What u recommend??????

  • @FrankieKato149 Look into the whole tutorial playlist on my channel page, there is one on shading when I drew Adele and I did one on noses recently and there is one on mouths too :D I start anywhere I find an anchor point.... watch the one on scale and proportion for that :) I still update the tutorials though cus I have progressed too so there will be newer ones in the future too. hope that helps!

  • Dude u r so amazing with the pencil....

  • @FrankieKato149 Thanks, it took some practice :)

  • I have a question. Did you go to school for this or are you naturally gifted at this?

  • @chordsofcolor I taught myself to do this sort of portrait drawing beginning in 2007.

  • @thekingofdefford Wow that's amazing.

  • That was a great tutorial! Thank you, Jonny.

  • @februaryboy91 you're welcome :)

  • @thekingofdefford I'm really don't like to criticize and probably don't have the right to but you seem to do alot of smudging, and i really don't mean to come off as offensive but you really shouldn't smudge as its not really you adding tone, its your finger and it should be you with your pencil that adds tone, not a cue tip or whatever, just a thought.

  • @PinappleJunk It's not my finger, it's never my finger that adds the shading, thats one thing I do say never to do because of the oil on your hands marking the drawing. Hey this way of blending works for me, and really there are no rules when it comes to drawing. Do what works best for you :) I use the cotton wool / cue tip because it gives a very smooth finish unlike directly adding the pencil to the paper. Then as you saw in the video i add pencil on top and then blend again.

  • @thekingofdefford well my art teacher sais you get marked down for doing this, and that you'd never be allowed to in an exam or in uni, so for me i guess there are rules

  • @PinappleJunk I'm self taught, no art lessons, so this is my way of drawing. If it is for exams then I assume there are techniques to follow.

  • @thekingofdefford yeah, i was gonna send you a link to an album of my pics on fb but it wont let me comment with the link so can i post it on your fb page, and if you could have a look and tell me what you think, especially of the jessie j drawing which is the most recent, the others are quite old xD

  • Awesome Work! :)

  • @NebulonB100 thanks :)

  • Your amazing! I love it! :D Thanks for the tips :)

  • @kryptoniumide you're welcome

  • it's interesting to see you add details to the eyes first. the eyes are the last thing i finish on the actual face portion.

  • @Buraion I start anywhere I find an anchor point :) But I build it all up as I go along and come back and add more to them after I do other parts.

  • this is great! i need to work on the eyes in my drawings a lot! thank you for posting this :)

  • @smileysketches7 Use it together with last weeks for eyes and hopefully it'll help you :)

  • I like the way your talking about shading and depth. The other tutorials I have watched about drawing eyes haven't actually really talked about it so I haven't understood it until now :) Thankyou!

  • @SammehisAwesomeness You're welcome, It's important, often when people show me their drawings they only have one or two pencils, and to get it looking realistic you deffo need different shades. Keep building it up and voila :)

  • Please could you draw Joe Jonas???

  • @Jonasbrosno123 maybeee :)

  • @thekingofdefford OoO THAT WOULD BE THE BEEEESSSSSTTTTT! LIKE U! UR THE BESSSTTT!:p

  • thanks for the tips x

  • @CheekTV meep meep :)

  • Thank you so much!! Your tips are really helpful considering eyes are something I need to improve. :)

  • @wickedpheonix1995 You're welcome. They are something I am continually working on cus I reckon they are my weakest point at the moment ('ll have to take my own advice hehe)
