I always thought meteor whipped everyone out (except red VII, because he was an animal? WTF was I on back then) and thats what confused me when advent children was based two years later. but I finished the game again today, and watched the ending and it looks like Holy and Life Stream. Eff up meteor and everything is OKay.

AC: two years after Meteor fell.

Nanarki running: 500 years after Meteor fell, 498 after AC. That scene just shows that after all that time, and even after what Shinra did to the Planet and Midgar (its surroundings were like a graveyard with no plants, etc) life flourished. And I think there are children laughing because it shows even more that there's still life in the Planet, my opinion.

I dont think you get it. When it says 500 years later it means just that 500 years later after the events of final fantasy 7.Advent children took place 2 years after final fantasy 7.I dont think I have to say this it said in the beginning of advent children.

no that was the right ending, it wasnt really a "final battle" so to speak, it was just cloud finally killing sepiroth in his dreams, as for the town being hit by that meteor, it was destroyed, no one lived there anymore after. that last seen was 500 later, that red dog thing is a character in the game lol
