  • When this song was a hit and was playing on the radio like every 4th song, heavily saturating everyone's brains to the point of nausea, my brother used to sing "Boogie Pick My Boogies In Your Dancing Shoes"... I didn't care, I was a happy teen who loved to dance then.

  • Fantastic, All my days in discotheque. Thanks for uploud this beautiful song.

  • One time my family was driving somewhere and my dad had this playing in the car. Then he and my mom got into some stupid argument and there was this awkward silence after, but in the middle of that tense silence was "oogie boogie oogie boogie dancin' shoes..."

My brother and I were cracking up in the backseat.

  • I was there on Clark & Broadway in Chi-town the name of the place was club paradise and it was gay nite, it blew me away, while singing she would make these odd gestures with her eyes and mouth like Diana Ross used to do. The crowd went mad.

  • I love DISCO and I Love this song!

  • 懐かしすぎる・・

  • I love this song! I found it on one of my mom's old disco cds lol. But... I'm guessing this is a different video than the song?

  • It's a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week!

  • the lifetime feeling that returns every week should be Friday night not Saturday night. with motel, booze, gas bill. etc by Saturday its mostly spent. LOL or did i just start partying to early

  • es el mejor video del mundo. me encanta. olga

  • kiffante celle ci

  • I'd love to live in this time

  • I think the video is of her singing a different song.

  • @psassaki - yes, syphilis only, no aids. Would have been great!

  • @psassaki I did. Every night at the disco during my college life

  • @psassaki I did. It was a blast! I remember the first big city bar club in the heart of SF. I was nervous. My friend asked me what I wanted to drink. I couldn't even think. I thought to myself, I'm screwed. I told him a screwdriver.

  • @psassaki

I did, but I didn't appreciate it much at the time, even though I was a young gay man fresh out of the closet. What I've learned is how important it is to appreciate the beauty and fun around you now. ...Sometimes I forget for a while, but seriously- taking that attitude has greatly improved the quality of my life, -Enjoy! Jim

  • i have a red vinyl copy of this record .Its so pimptastic

  • Music like this I only heard in gay bars ... lots of folks missed some great music!

  • @TheNellah -So true!! The gay bars I went to in the 70's and 80's were so far ahead of the music curve. I would always be amazed when mainstream radio would pick up songs like "Funkytown" or "Got To Be Real."

  • thank you for the volume, thank you for video

  • da shit

  • they were great! and the music too1

  • Great song! The 1970s and 1990s were the best decades for dance music.

  • annd 1980's lol

  • it was a great time for us who lived it!!!. the clothes were "bitchin fine" and we loved it . you had to be there to understand. if you werent there, you'll never get it. it wasnt just the music and clothes..it was the times and the feeling of the scene.

  • I was there though. I had the misfortune of being in high school from 80-83. At that time, rock'n'roll was the only music around. Being a fan of disco and not having a mullet hair cut made me a nerd. All the nightclubs at that time played rock'n'roll, and then around 84 "new wave" became the cool trend. I didn't like that either. I finally got my life back in the 90s when disco made a comeback.

  • you are so right

no one could understand those days unless she or he lived the time.

society and all was much more in sync.

  • finnish singer Paula Koivuniemi has made way better version from this song called: Sata kesää tuhat yötä... listen it!

  • I remember this song back in the day's we use to tear up the dance floor. Clubbing at Tropicana, Capa cabana, Third World, man what fun. After clubbing everyone would head to the Pantry for breakfast downtown L.A. We still go off & on to fox fire's in O.C. cali for disco friday what fun. keep this song going

  • What a cracking disco song

  • esta canciOnesta xida e te la rifatze mis respetOz paar ti por tener era cancIon de zapatOZ de Boogie Woogie

    Constantine

  • @ 4Dsign

as I said! thanks for your answer! I'm not the only one here. you seems to be a musician like me! :-)

of course this wouldn't be a typical Abba Song but everybody shall use his imagination! With Anni-Frid and Agnetha voices this song could also be an ABBA song. Why not? Both disco-classics. As 4Dsign said, very similar to a chord-cadence of ABBA's song Voulez vous. The only noticable different is the male singing at the end of Boogie Woogie.

  • Great song and a nice clear version

  • I can remember hearing this on the radio in December 1978. I was only 4 years old at the time, but because of this song and the sound effects. It was a song you never forget after you hear it. It sure brings back lot of childhood memories lol.

  • I love the sun flare effect! God bless Claudja!

  • This takes me back to the last week of grade 3. Someone brought this record to the "sock hop" but the priceless moment came the next day when the 125 year old principal came on the PA to announce that someone had left this record at the dance. It took him about 4 attempts to say the title of this song!

  • That's it!When I heard it in my Trabant, suddenly I rolled wioth 70 km/h instead of 40-50...that's it...oh the old young times...

  • HMMMMMMMMM Do You Know Who Abba is??? Cause this ain't Them!!

  • sounds like a ABBA song

  • I am sorry but this dosent sound at all to a song of ABBA.

  • Good observation, there's a chord sequence very similar to Abba's song "voulez vous" with major/minor changes based on boogiei-woogie.

  • i had many mintgreen clothes back in the golden years too like she is having!

  • I had a lot of time I didn't listen this song!!! I like it very much!!! It's one of my favorites!!! I say hello to you from Mexico!!!

  • hate the word squaws she should know better being a person color

  • Great song but the video is obv not for this music.

    What up?

  • im feeling emo

    i luf u gf

  • Ok then, I guess no one else has recorded it. THANKS padaasm & dragann, I guess MAYBE I was a bit confused; I THOUGHT I had heard another female singer sing it too, MY error. THANKS & ya'll have a FUN weekend!

  • You right, but I thought I remembered it was Blondie, guess not...

  • once again lol it was only done by Claudia

  • It was a very nice performance but boogie woogie is misleading as it is not boogie woogie.

  • this was a fukkin goddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!1

  • no if diana ross did it, it was never a hit, but i am positive she did not do it

  • the best 70's song

  • Maybe one of the best, there were so many classics back then.

  • I have checked nobody else did it

  • no it was never done by anyone else

  • Thanks 4 your response padaasmono. MAYBE I am wrong?? I just THOUGHT that someone else (another female) had ALSO recorded it, hmmmm??? R U sure it was ONLY Claudja B. who recorded it?? WHY AM I SO CONFUSED???

  • I met the mother of my kids to this song back in 1979

  • to my knowledge nobody else did it, if they did it definitely wasn't a hit

  • sensacional todo un recuerdo

  • as far as I know nobody else did this song

  • R U sure no one else ever recorded it?? This is "DRIVING ME NUTS"! I really thought that OTHER Females (as in a group, kind of like K.C. & TheSunshineBand) had recorded it ALSO, not just C.B.?? R U sure??? ANYONE else out there know???

  • Diana Ross

  • 4 real??? Was it REALLY Diana Ross who ALSO recorded this song??? hmmm? I have NO idea WHY I'm sooooo confused??? Thanks 4 your responses dragann & padaasm! : )

  • I am not shure any more

    I v been thinking a little....

  • Does ANYONE out there know IF anyone else (besides C.B. here) has recorded this song AFTER her version??? I THINK (NOT sure) I've heard it by someone else, but I MIGHT be wrong; who knows??? :?
