@JohnnyBros100 easiest way to beat this boss for melee fighters is to NEVER ever be directly in front of him. always be off to one of his sides attacking his tentacle things, but not his tail (unless you want the sword he gives you). if you stay to his sides none of his attacks will ever hit you. i beat him on the first try AND i had two of those shell things in the room as well. hes really not hard at all

@mroctagona Kiln of the First Flame has all of the different weapon-wielding variations of the black knight. Unlike the others though, these WILL respawn after using a bonfire.

@mroctagona black knight sword, and if you dont get it from one of the random black knights in the game, go to the kiln of the first flame. the black knights there respawn, so just keep farming them till you get one. covetous gold serpent ring helps alot with that.

Seath the scaleless, is not named "Seath" at all. Nor did he have a romance with anyone. he is an impostor, who impersonated the real Seath in order to gain followers. He possessed the body of a man named King Alfred Forester in a continent called Verdite. After being banished from that place his whereabouts were unknown until now.

He is not a real dragon, but has always wanted to be.

Fire Keepers (Dingy Robe) Armor Set offers more protection from Curse, than Crimson Armor. Downfall is its less DEF so Equip Eagle shield and Ring of Steele Protection to make up for lose DEF.

Guys, just equip the Crimson set from Blight town, it has high curse resistance and makes this boss a lot easier. For me, this boss was "easy but frustrating". Frustrating to cut off his tail but the easiest boss besides the Moonlight Butterfly and the Iron Golem.

@Ultrabuu85 the dude is lvl 64. you'll see his stat at the end of the clip. plus, most players stay around the lvl 50-60 range so that they can meet the minimum requirements for their weapons and max out endurance. after that they spend the rest of their souls on beefing up their weapon. i think it's impractical to reach the max level for this game. high level means, high price for attonement and requires a lot of souls to level up.

If you have the dragonslayer great bow then just hit him with about 3 arrows in the gut. run to the other side of the room, 3 more arrows. rinse and repeat. unless you really want that sword >_> if you use a dragonslayer bow though then he is the easiest boss thus far.

The boss is easy as shit, but he will not drop that gd sword. I keep going after the tail, but even after 9 or 10 hits, nothing. Plus, the tail is the one area that he can really fuck you up. When he starts thrashing it, it's basically a one hit kill. And even if you survive, he'll usually catch with another. Not sure what to do. Probably just kill him and get it over with. Fuck the sword.

Meanwhile, does anyone know an effective strategy for killing those crystal lizards? Very annoying

@zergonath2 With what, the boss? He said it in the description, but I think the key is to wear as much curse resistant shit as you can. I wore the Crimson Robe and gear, with Velka's Mask. Along with the Curse resistant ring (forgot the name). Then I'd recommend kindling the nearest bonfire, and upping your Estus flasks to at least 10.

It has one shot potential, so the key is having enough health and curse resist to be able to take a hit. Other than that, just be patient.

@Juiceboxjerry in the great hollow or whatever its called are 9 crystal lizards each one of them drop twinkling titanite and another type the key is go to the place where the lizard spawn quit game reload and the lizard will respawn i use my black knight sword in 2 hand to kill them fast maybe u have to reload 3 or 4 times but it works
