  • sounds just like a crownvic

  • the Ford panther vehicles are so reliable, you see so many of them on the road.

  • What year is this one. 1998-2002 are rated 220 hp, 2003-2011 are rated 239 hp.

  • @Astromchaser 2002

  • Somebodies jizz hit ur windshield?? 0:10

  • 8 seconds is decent, but the main appeal to these cars is that they last forever.

I'm sure a couple of aftermarket parts will make it even faster if that's what you want. What I'm getting at is I'd rather have a car that lasts forever that I can upgrade later on, than have a car that's fast but not so reliable.

I'm looking at you Cadillac. Especially with those Northstars. Fast, but good luck reaching 150k miles.

  • True you can always make a car faster but you can't make them reliable.

  • @mark0101 THat's for damn sure.

  • And to think Northstars are "non serviceable" engines. Once they go bad, they go bad. I've seen those engines reach about 225k miles before biting it... but not many of them get that high.

  • @MrNotorius5500 A lot of ppl just change spark plugs wire oil oil filters and air filters and think thats it. You have to do more maintance than that like. Tranny fluid and filter gear fluid for standards changing your differentail fluid distributors and coil packs.

  • @Smokie420ish I'm aware of all that. I religiously check all my fluids, belts, hoses in my vehicle every week and pay attention to almost every change in how it runs and feels. Although I don't have to worry about a distributor since my vehicle is coil-over-plug :D.. that's not to say that system never needs to be checked but I'm sure you know what I mean.

  • Yepp ik all too well can be a pain sometimes when it cost big bucks but its your means of transport

  • @MrNotorius5500 whoever told you Northstars are non-servicable engines is completely full of shit. I've seen a few rebuilt ones, and I've seen a few that have hit 400k even without any issues. Not neglecting service, most importantly radiator fluids, and Northstars will run forever. Same can be said for ANY other engine designed in the same era. And Northstars made in the 2004 model year or later do not have any of the old issues anymore.

  • @CsalbertCs really well i guess my sisters lucky as her 2001 deville has over 200k miles.my 2000 dhs has only 61k but it runs like a banshee. And you want to talk added mods look up vids on twin turbo devilles ;)

  • My grandfather have 98 Lincoln Town Car with 464,325 with no problem, still going strong! It was a amazing 4.6L engine. Town car is extremely smooth riding car. Even rides quality are alooot better than cadillac. When I hit the pot holes, you won't even feel it.

  • @kenneykole, I wouldn't dare saw a Town Car rides better than a Cadillac, unless of course you're comparing it to a FWD Cadillac and as we know, FWD sucks cornerning no matter what car it is.But a typical life of a Town Car is to be used as a limo for the first 300k-400k, a taxi for another 100k or so, then sold cheaply to someone for another 100k and sold for scrap metal.

  • @CsalbertCs, like any car, if you change your radiator fluid in a Northstar every 5 years, you won't have any issues pretty much guaranteed.

  • Ya classy as shit ...Ya dats it ......

  • It be fitin for a good colored..see whut i b sayin...It be pimped out like Mikey Jackson .Mrmindidiot is just a regular colored . Micky b pimped out and bleached ! Every part being changed out for a white one .

  • Me too I be agreeing too. I see you......baby....

  • i agree with everyone. 8 seconds is pretty good.

  • Yeah I agree as well, I mean consider this, a town car, is a 4,000 pound sedan, that is some big weight to be pushed down the road by a small 8 cylinder engine and to get to 60 in 8 seconds thats damn good. Town cars are classy as shit. One of my favorite cars.

  • @ncole90 id like to see a drag race between a buick roadmaster and a lincoln towncar,

i think the roadmaster is a tad faster , but it would still be a good race

  • @crammage road masters have 5.7 and lincolns have 4.6. so ya i think the road masters are faster, i just love these big cars, im going to try and soop my 95 TC up as much as my thin 16 year old wallet can afford. it has 196xxx miles. going to freshen it up.

  • @roundtopsk84eva can you make a video of your towncar?

  • @roundtopsk84eva, the 95-96 roadmasters were quite a bit faster, not much of a race. But the 93-94, with a lower output engine? I'm not so sure. If this 2002 can hit 60 in 8 seconds (all tests claim the faster 2003 took 9.5 so I'm not so sure this is timed correctly, or "stock"), the 93-94 roadmasters were upper 8s, stock so figure out who wins

  • Nice man!! 8 seconds is pretty quick for this car. How old is your Lincoln Town Car.

I have Lincoln Town Car Cartier Series and moves pretty fast. 0-60 at 7.3 seconds. Because cartier series has 25-30 more hp than signature or excutive series. But your car is not bad!! Have fun!

  • The Cartier has 15 more hp

  • @MrHotrodlincoln Does this video make you jizz all over the keyboard like the other town car videos?

  • 8 seconds is pretty quick for this car.

  • 8 secs. is not bad at all for that car.

  • Nice! I have a 1999. The damn heater core needs to be replaced :(

  • that suckz man cuz i no the heater core is in the dashboard

  • yeah i share your pain my heater core is bad too. and mines also a lincoln

  • its all most not worth it for me i live in houston and you know it dont get very cold here but when it dose its nice to have a heater lol they want like 650 bucks to replace my heater core

  • i was on hwy 270 in st louis just crusing along thinkin i'm going 60 ,i look down at the speedometer and it said 80 mph.

  • so 0-60 in 8 secs right? my 97 TC does that, it's all stock except for a "tornado intake insert" that is supposed to make the air move faster through, don't know if it does or not. But ya nice vid you should get a timer and make it official.

  • Well I don't know how to get the timer on it but yea its 8 flat

  • At 8 sec it's going 56 mph.

    At 9 sec it's going 62 mph.

    interpolating...

    At 8.66 sec it's going 60 mph.

  • @mark0101 did something break at 11 seconds?

  • @victoriadish No. The sprinklers were on and that was the water hitting at 70 MPH. It scared me a bit and that's why the camera moved...lol

  • What did you do to it?

  • Nothing, its all stock.

  • it can't be i have over 10 of things. I had only one signature touring package it was quick but not that quick.

  • well it has a K&N filter but thats it, plus its a 02 which I have heard, have PI heads or something like that.

  • Wow it has a nice sound

  • That's very fast acceleration for a big car.

  • Nice pep for a Town Car, has more growl than my 96 TC vid
