not everybody is able to live an ascetic life.......only may be after one realises, how one can be mislead by the seductions of a normal sozialisation..........some are born to become a monk, many are not............

No need to know Greek, Mt Athos is international, There are Sebian, Russian, Bulagrian Monasteries on Mt Athos. 90 grreks and 10 foreigners are given permit to visit free of charge for 3 days.

Need to get a permit, LONG WAIT, apply 6 months in advance !

Mount Athos is self-sustaining, they don't depend on foreign money. Making such a wild claim as you have is entirely inconsistent with the fact they do hard agricultural labor, which would make all the money one has scammed become void.

Is it really probably that all Orthodox seminaries are in some big conspiracy scam, while a few dropouts are telling the truth? Could it possibly be the reverse? Where have you even heard of an Orthodox seminary dropout "expose" a scam?

Why would someone scam money and at the same time do hard agricultural labor, and live in place where they have nothing to do with their money? It would be stupid, why not just scam people, not work at all, and live a comfortable pleasant life in a big city? I visited there some 22 years ago...as 20 year youngster...it was of course a most beatiful experience and I cant not recommend enough that you should definately go there to pray and contemplate.

The monks are alive examples of dedication to GOD ! They dedicate their whole life to GOD ! They are not seeking anymore the things belonging to this world ! They do fight against their passions in order to purify their hearts and love all the souls and GOD too !

The sacramental work of GOD through His Orthodox Church is the purification of our hearts, is to kill all of our passions which keep us tied up to the things of this world which do'nt last ! The Will of GOD is to purify us
