  • Very pretty!

  • way too many products being used and bad ones at that but hey that works for some

  • I would like to see your hair now. It's so beautiful in this video. Are you going to do an update?

  • hi! do you know where i can get the kenra products from? im looking for kenra straightening serum for my hair.

  • where did you get your blow dryer? BTW like ur hair, very natural and healthy.

  • Lady, U got a beautiful smile. Only thing that this video has bad quality, audio is really bad! Sry, but yea...

  • wow you really are a beautiful woman and your hair is fantastic.

  • your so pretty :)

  • Gergeous!

Your hair is beatifull, natural and flat ironed.

How many inches are you hair stretch out?

It's just because i soon will try flat iron my hair, and my hair is about 8-10 inches, and a lil shorter on the top, and i would be glad if my hair would be as long or nearly as long as u flat ironed.

  • Woah Nice Pink GHD i got the purple one

  • nice

  • i have a heat protectant spray but i have a problem:

i don't know how to use it without it (my hair) getting wet, and when it gets wet it frizzes

    help please

  • @101feven101 Get one that has a lotiony (if that's even a word, basically like lotion) consistency.

  • @101feven101 you put it on before you straighten your hair let it air dry then straighten your hair.. and if its still frizzy go over it again

  • thank you this was very helpful, my hair is identical to yours and I was at such a loss as far as what to do : )

  • The black soap can be purchased at Afrikan Republic com. They have a wonderful website with large range of selections. Afrikan spelled with a.... "k."

  • the redkin smoothing stuff workks so good (: it makes my hair feeeel amazing .

  • Just about to say what MamaEzi sed. I'm from Ghana and I KNOW that aint black soap. It should be really dark and kinda like play dough when wet. Please try a different provider because there are people who try to imitate our native soap out there. In america now and get mine on amazon.

  • Type in raw black soap Ghana. It Should look like the ones in the pictures. Just looking out 4 u sweets. great vid. 1 luv

  • @lush4real oh didn't know Ghanians had it also must be a west african connection

  • Comment removed

  • @MamaEzi Yeah I had never heard of black soap being made in your country until now. We probably started making it long before we migrated into the various countries in West Africa :-)

  • sounds funny

  • Where can I buy the Raw African Black shampoo Soap? I love your video and will do exactly as you suggested, though my hair is really nappy. Thanks for your help.

  • This is one of the nicest videos on flat ironing natural hair. In other videos, the straightness isn't exactly what I like. Beautiful. How the GHD compare to the FHI in your opinion?

  • Do you know where I can get the GHD cheaper? I was lookig at the CHI, FHI and Sedu. Its a hard decision. This iron is sooo expensive!

  • @kaleena2006 but is worth it!

  • beautiful job

  • Thanks for looking out; i bought this from GHD and it is registered, so i think it's safe.

  • My hair has always done well with Pantene..even before the black version came out. Funny thing is I don't even use relaxed and natural. Itend to use more naturally based poos and conditioners. I am stuck on Elucence!

  • pantene works good for some people (me) everyone has diffrent textures of hair

  • patchouli85 also has a great technique...

  • u r so gorgeous woman! [no homo lol]and ur hair is awesome!!! nice pincurls by the way :^]

  • Thanks! That's so sweet of you to say

  • Don't use Pantene! It strips your hair. It has some acid in it.

  • @OhSoAle does pantene shampoo really have acids?

  • I agree. Pantene does not work for me. Sometimes it makes my hair soft, but if I leave it in an hour or more, it's a dry mess.

  • @OhSoAle true, use treseme.

  • @OhSoAle i love pantene, i have nice curly hair and i take care of it with pantene...you just have to use what works for you, and i love to use pantene on my hair :D

  • you look so pretty...gorgeous hair!

  • thank you for this.:)

  • Black soap is indeginous to the yoruba people of Nigeria and that is not black soap it looks diluted.

  • no i'm not

  • @MamaEzi

I heard Black Soap isn't even really BLACK, its a dodo brownish color, lol.

    Is this true?

  • @LadyBeex3 The kind I saw was literally black smelled amazing..

  • @LadyBeex3

Yeah that's true. The real stuff is brown and lumpy. Cosmetic companies do sell stuff called black soap and it's actually jet black. That stuff is fake black soap and won't work in the same way. They're just capitalising off the name. i bought some fake blck soap and it was made in india and had a bs list of ingredients. The reall stuff works wonders though.

  • Ur hair is gorgeous !!!

  • I <3 GHDS!!!! i have the salon styler, whcih is the thicker one cos i hav like REAALLY curly hair :) x

  • what is black soap

  • You can use this soap on your body, face, and hair. There are many claims on the benefits of using African Black Soap. The claims are that it helps relieve rashes, scalp irritations, softens rough skin, oily skin, dry skin, acne, blemishes and other skin problems. Black soap gives your face a deep cleansing, leaving it fresh and healthier. I've also heard it can help with wrinkles and fine lines. Whether these benefits are true or not is up to you to decide.

  • @kd7997

    the greatest describtion YET :)

would you say Black Soap helps with acne prone skin?

  • It looks so cute when ur all done! thanx for posting this video! i've been looking for some help with straightening my 3c/4a hair :)

  • i love the ghd

  • thats alot to do just shave it all off let it grow back then shave it once more then repeat the process until you just don't want hair that's what i feel like doing to my hair my hair is just some hard ass work all the damn time

  • Honestly i know what you mean its just sooo much work!!!! lolol

  • You're my hair twin! We have the exact same texture. Thanx for the tutorial. Beautiful results. :)

  • So many products! I would strongly recommend you discontinue using Pantene, it leaves a waxy buildup on the hair

  • Isn't Pantene for relaxed and texturized hair only?

  • no its called Pantene relaxed and natural.

  • ok thanks cause i read the back of the bottle and it said for relaxed and texturized and that one called nature fusion something like that for texturized hair

  • Yes.

  • lovely hair, hey do u have any tips . I want to try to wear my hair straight, but when I flat iron it it puffs up in literally the same hour! help, help!

  • i have hair like really curly and thick i put serum in it when it is wet and then i blow dry it and straiten it and then i put more serum in and then my hair is so straight and not frizzy. so if anybody is like me try that it really works!

  • Use a good heatprotecting spray that has some hold in it, and never use oil in your hair before you straighten it, cause that will fry your hair and cause it to frizz up ;P i really recoment using Smoothing Stuff by Bed Head after straigthening your hair, it makes a huge difference and it smells sooo god ;D Hope that helped you ^^,

  • get a batter straightener, mabe ghd

  • oh that's a good one but Chi to me is better

  • There can also be girls with very frizzy, thick curly hair, even if there half white.

    Great Vid.

  • yes very true. i know a few ppl in Trinidad like that.

  • finally! sumone with afro hair like mine dat can tell me wat to do with it! thank u for the change. i am tired of seein half chineese or half white ppl sayin they have really frizzy curly hair and usin poducts that work for soft hair. THANKS A MIL!!!

  • Yeah I know what you mean!

  • Hello, I really love your curly hair. Would you consider doing a video on how you style your curly hair with a list of products you use? My hair type is similar but it tends to look dry and yours looks so healthy.

    Thanx Sabrina

  • i have that same exact blow dryer only i dont use the comb attachment anymore

  • Hello my dear,

I was trying to watch your video, but there was something wrong with the sound. So, If you do not mind, could you write me please a list of cosmetics produts, which you use for straightening your hair. I could be great. Your straight hair are beautiful. Please write me a message. Thank you so much.

  • whouaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa c canon !

  • BEAUTIFUL HAIR!

  • SecretsInMe

Please check out fellow youtuber patchouli85. She has a flatiron tutorial that shows natural hair being flatironed. It is not a video, per se, of hair being flatironed, but still shots and she gives very detailed instructions on how to flat iron African-American hair. She is absolutely AMAZING! I hope it helps!

  • what is that! on 0:41

  • potato?

  • its black soap :o)

  • black soap....

  • she called it "black soap"...... :-S xD

  • there is a such thing as black soap

  • WOW! it is a blessing to have such healthy, beautiful hair. It looks great in its natural state as well as straightened.

  • your hair is beautiful. I am going to have to try your process b/c I still can't get good results when I try to straighten my hair

  • Do you use black soap as a shampoo? Your hair is so pretty.

  • wow!!..Great afterwards!

  • I just watched a vid by elleisthebusiness and she shows how to blow dry on low heat and flat iron.

  • I have more of a tight 4a curl pattern. I do my hair the same way as she does hers, only with a little more detangling and blow drying with a comb attached. But I'm still finding ways on straightening my hair without using the blow dryer.

  • nice hair do it looks good either way

  • her hair is naturally curly obviously it is dried hater!!!!!!

  • There are many different textures of curly. Actually even what is called "nappy" hair is naturally curly. Ever look at the individual strands of natural hair? You will see coils, ie curls.

  • wow

  • Is that a blow dryer you're using @ 4:15? I've never seen one like that. It looks easy to use, what is it?

  • i use one like that but after a while your hand will get tired.whoa that rhymes lol

  • yah thats a blow dryer

  • what are you wearing on your lips towards the end?

  • wow!!! ur hair looks great when its straightened!

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for all the great comments! Thanks for taking time to watch my video

  • Your hair turned out gorgeous. Great job.

  • Looks great, I'm sold, Especially since it looks as though we have the same hair type. Thank you for the info~

  • by the way is that the GHD Kiss mk4?

  • how hot does the GHD get? I was told it goes up to 210 degrees. I dont think that is hot enough to get my natural hair stick straight and for a long period.

    please help!

  • dont let ur flat iron be the thing to get your hair stick straight. Heres what I do to help avoid heat damage but get that "fresh perm" look: Blow dry w/heat protectant, flat iron with heat protectant, put a little oil and smoothing serum throughout hair and wrap, then put saran wrap around h ead and sit under hooded dryer, brush down, my hair is super straight. hth

  • Yeah that doesn't work for me. My head turns out to be a sweaty mess.

  • Your hair is beautiful curly and straightened.

  • your hair came out really pretty

  • long intro

  • what is your hair type???

  • Wow, your hair looks lovely either straight or curly. Great final look!

  • your hair is really pretty...please make more videos :)

  • pretty! I have a ghd and i just love it :)

  • You should not wrap the cord around the body of the ghd as this will lead to malfunction of the flat iron

  • thank you soo much < sooooooooooooo great vedio and its really help

the vedio is sooooooo amazing and you look amazing too :)

  • this flat iorn is really bad coz it only has one heat setting

  • Your hair is absolutely beautiful - do you have any hair growth tips ?

  • you gotta try sabino moisture block for your serum..works great

  • That's the best thing about having natural hair is being able to wear it curly or straight. Nice video.

  • isnt that the truth! you have so many options!

  • as a child I used to have thick afro hair - but as I've grown older my hair seems to have gotten striaght - but it is still thick and SL and most people think i have relaxed it - which is quite annoying -- most of my friends hair seems to have 'grown' since they have relaxed

  • love it

  • The result is beautiful. I love your brows do you tweeze or wax?

  • thanks; i love threading; but i live in a rural area, so i have a barber arch them and then i tweeze

  • you shouldn't wrap the cord around the iron.. it damages your iron.

  • Gorgeous

  • Great video and gorgeous hair!!!

  • Looks great kd! Your hair growth seems like it just came out of nowhere. I'm jealous :)
