TUTORIAL''How to install xbox360 motherboard inside a pc case.

hey, ive just started modding my mac g4 case to accommodate my 360 mobo. ive run into a few problems, i dont know what psu to use, i know something around 250w, but non ive seen match the specs of a 360 psu. (i'm uk btw) any help would be muucho appreciated

@TheCraigjaay look for the psu 12V OUT PUT, AND 5V THEN WIRE THOSE TO THE XBOX PSU PLUG THE ONE THAT PLUGS IN TO THE XBOX MOTHERBOARD..YELLOW (ON PLUG) WOULD BE 12V RED 5V BLACK GROUND..ALSO YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO TURN ON THE PSU..IM NOT FAMILIAR WITH MAC PSU THOUGH, BUT THAT SHOULD DO IT..GOOD LUCK.

@TheCraigjaay atx gaming psu 650W but all atx are done the same way, just bypass green wire with a ground and it will turn on the psu,(on atx though)..

Hi I am trying to follow your mod just for the xbox360 Inside the Case...

Can you explain on how you did the following please :

1. Hard drive

2.Power button

Also for the DVD drive Eject and Sync... where to solder ?

@EwOkiE2 Hardrive was taken out of the plastic hardrive case and taped elsewhere with srong double sidetape.. the power button was extended,the 360 power button has 4 corners,figure out which of the 2 corners make the 360 turn on by touchng both with a wire, so that they make contact,when you figure that out conect the 2wires of the desire button,i would imagine the pc case has one already so just use that,(maybe green.white cable)the eject has 2 pins behind,make one of those touch ground.

@ModGyver do the same with sync...you can use ground from the shield surrounding the button..good luck..

How did you install and where did you get the fans for the heatsinks

@EwOkiE2 just look for fans that are the same size..or at least close to the same size, then just take screws and screw them on, the screw will pass through the fan and in to the heatsink,separating the heatsink blades just a little ..screw in to heatsink around quarter inch.

@EwOkiE2 power button has 4 points 2 of them triger thr power on. bypass them with a wire to figuer out wich 2 points make them turn on, the eject would be the same, it has 2 pins behind it they go to the button your adding, doesnt matter which wire it goes to, the hard drive i just opened it but is an xbox slim drive.

@acsounds no problem,,since im using pc pwer suply , i get power from the molex plugs, althow i still use the 2 12v fan outputs from the xboxm motherboard, i just replaced the xbox fans for pc fans and bolted them right on the heatsinks.

in this video it was just a 360...now it has both and it can be used with the same mouse & keys,im using a kvm switch..with 2 monitors..

@qingqingyep the hard drive is inside, i took i all apart, i strong double sided tape and taped it to the closest flat surface where it could reach to.i didnt feel the need to extend it since im not the type of guy that is always taking off the hd,but i also did want to see the hd case,so thats why i took it apart..

what is the white thing sticking out the back at 1:28 and how did u put a LG Drive faceplate onto the Xboxs DVD Drive and how would u hook the hard drive or extend the Memory Unit Ports? how would u do this with a Xbox 360 Slim?

@Matthew55904 the white thing sticking out at 128 is an wall hdmi female to female in the inside of case i plug in the hdmi to it and the out side of case i put another hdmi cable going to the tv,(that way wire wont hang)/ the LG face plate i had to shave and make it fit the 360 dvd drive to make it look authentic,the slim is much easyer it comes out alot cleaner,you just have to know the diagram for the ring of light' for the power and eject button extention.

@ModGyver how did u get a functiong eject button on the LG face if it was just the faceplate at first i thought u moved the guts of the 360 drive into a LG Drive housing

@Matthew55904 for eject button, i put a momentary button,like you would use for the rapid fire mod, i opened the dvd drive and placed it behind the existing eject button i glued lg eject button on the tip of the momentary button..

haha look at it this way, does the 360 really need its plalstic case to turn on?thats basicly what i did , i just replace the outer shell/case. as far as the mouse and keys,look up "xim3" on youtube or google.and if you think its fake it means i did a good job since you find it hard to believe...thanks for taking time to comment though even if its neative..CHEERS'.....

@Xbox360MoDDinGzZ  I wired up the original pc case power button to the 360 power button, basicly extend it just like you would on the eject or sync button..I will be glad to help on any further questions. good luck'

hey, got a problem -.- my dvd firmware key is in my mod chip and then a accidently ripped it out when i was opening my xbox -.- so i think that the dvd firmware key thing is in my mod chip but i dont have the cable to connect it to the computer any suggestions on how to fix it? or where i can get any mod chip calbles to retrive my dvd firmware key :) anyways good vid :D
