hi i suffer (live with) schitzophrenia, diagnosed at 17, now 24 dealing with my ollness with clozapine. There are a few vids on my youtube channel about this subject. what i wanted to say was i use kwells car sickness tablets with my cloz. they cause dry mouth so it sorta balances it out, i do still drool but significantly less. hope this helps
Bipolar Affective here on Risperidone at 4-6mg I drool a lot but it gets rid of the voices eventually and the mania - these drugs do affect other functions of the brain sending either too little or too much signal to the body or muscles, this rests in these type of side effects.
Getting out in the sunshine once a day helps the brain function better as does eating oily fish like salmon. Good luck from England
@ffleaderman24 It did for a number of years, I was put on respridal at first when i was diagnosed at 15 after a while it didn't work so they added seroquel and I was on that till i was around 20. I relapsed and that's what put me on clozapine, I do prefer the side effects of clozapine compared to seroquel and respridal. Seroquel made me so tired i had a hard time functioning. I was on up to 600mg's a day for a while and i would sleep about 14 hours a day and felt very groggy after waking.
@blackjack55551234,i m ethen from malaysia,i mainly suffer from social dysfunction like asocial,blunting affect and alogia,mainly the negative symptom,i wonder has clozapine help u on these symptom in anyway?i m withdrawn round people even my own family memebers,and i do not have any friends,i have tried alot alot of antpsychotic and antidepresant but it didnt work,so 1 day i visit a new psychatrist and he told me clozapine would treat these of my symptom i wonder do u agree?as ur exprience
hey, for the drooling have you tried Kwells (hyosine) travel sickness pills? has anyone recommended them as they're pretty effective for it. you can get them over the counter at a pharmacy :)
@sword12322 I don't know what to say, I know life can be rough but you got to have faith. Sometimes you think you may never be happy again, but believe me it does get better, everything your going through can be fixed, you just need to work on it. Sometimes talking to someone about your problems can help. Don't take the perminent way out, please, it's just not worth it. Keep fighting the fight and never give up. I know i am, sure life can be overwhelming at times but in the end it's good.
@blackjack55551234 thanks for the advice but i find clozapine that is makes me so weak,plus i get a terrible back pain i take 400mg as prescribed by my gp.i have gained 10 kilos since i started the medication.
i`have about 50 100mg tablets i was wandering if by taking the whole lot i would die of heart attack..
@sword12322 I gained a lot of weight when i was first put anti psychotics too. You can lose it, when you are first on it you do gain weight at first, but it does plateau after a while and you can lose it, just try to choose good food and exercise when you can. I would highly recommend you don't take all your meds at once it would be absoultly horrible in everyway, If you hate the side effects that much, then try a different med. don't give up hope, there could be a good med out ther for you
@bbfunhk please do not take your brothers clozapine, it can be a very dangerous drug that is why people on clozapine have to have blood tests to check they have not developed agranulocytosis
lots of comments so i dont know if youll read this. i suffer from schizophrenia, im on the clozapine, have been four years now and came across a fantastic way to counter-act the drooling. kwells car sickness tablets, they have one side effect, dry mouth so together your gernerally alright, it stops the drooling!
i am trying to lose weight. I heard grapefruit juice is good at losing fat. so i tried it. that was a big mistake. my psychiartist said taking anti-psychotic with grapefruit juice is a bad combination. grapefruit ruins the absorption for any anti-psychotic medication. no wonder i was having psychotic symptoms. i am off aripiprazole and back on clozapine combined with quetiapine. good combination.
my mental state is stable now. i don't have to be on clozapine anymore. i am now on aripiprazole. my psychiatrist chose that specific medication because it doesn't have a weightgain side effect. no more monthly blood checks for me, hooray! my weight is 106kg, i expect my weight to go down to 70kg. i will be discharged from the mental health service soon due to my excellent recovery. no more sleeping with a wet pillow for me.
@keebaman Did you have any withdrawal symptoms when you came off clozapine? I came off clozapine very slowly and still experienced severe withdrawal symptoms including psychotic symptoms, I am on olanzapine now but it has been a long recovery process after stopping taking clozapine
@PsychosisUnitFM2 yeah i got psychotic symptoms too. it was aripiprazole that gave me psychotic symptoms. i couldn't sleep with that medication, so i went off it. i am back on clozapine. there is no way in hell i am going back on olanzapine. i gained 30kg because of that stuff.

after i accompany him to travel , he seem get more happy n smarter , though he had some weird symptom like feeling xtreme hot n feel no gd at heart ,even ask to see private ordinary doctor for 2 times in one day

@bbfunhk thank you for your comment,if you stop taking clozapine you have to do it very slowly and there is a risk that you can get more psychotic than you were in the first place. When I stopped taking clozapine and I was put on olanzapine straightaway. Olanzapine helped a little bit but I was still very ill, it has taken several years to recover.

hey man, I know how u feel about all of it. it makes me really really dizzy, if i get out of bed in the middle of the night, i can barley catch my balance. and waking up with half a cup of saliva in my mouth also sucks. haha
Also i had another thing to say after alot of psych visits i discovered through my mom & the doctor that i had my first psychotic episode when i was 11 because i went around sayin for a period of time that i was the devil & i was evil & i see evil & was behaving rather oddly but no one picked up on it (obviously) got a question, i've been checking around is there much confusion or similarities in regards to bipolar & schizophrenia, do u know by chance? i've been questioning my diagnosis....
@mehlyssa I don't know that much about bipolar, I know that it involves high and lows in mood and mood swings and possibly psychosis, Some people have both which is called schizoeffective disorder, I think, but a doctor would know a lot more than me. Take care and good luck, Jack

Hey there, First I want to say that your videos are very informative and very real. I've been diagnosed with moderate to severe Bipolar type 1 with paranoia a little over a year ago and they got me on 800mg of seroquel and 2000mg of valproic acid. ick! I find the seroqel terrible for the dry mouth but the sedation i find it only hits me once or twice a week and only for a couple of hours but was bad at first. oh and p.s another comment after this .. goin through a bit of a spurt
one other suggestion i would make for you is to detox your body from lead and mercury. Please go to psychtruth web site and listen to the vidoe on Schizophrenia-extreme states of mind. You are not born schizophrenic you become schizophrenic. I would consider it food for thought.
glad to see you recovered. I m sorry i dont have any adivce on clozapine expect that I m concerend about all the pscho drugs outthere. Many of them cause serious long term advers effects in your brain or eventually damage your liver and kidneys. You are a young strong inteligent man. Please spend your time researching alternative treatments. Form a group of ppl who struggle with the same and pull effort toghether. Good luck to you.
Hi-Im 19 and schizophrenic. I take 300mg of clozapine a day and I just aint me with them. If i go skip them I have a great day when I wake up but on them Im a zombie. I cant think at all. I get so tired, I drool all over my pillow too. Im supposed to take them for 5 years before reducing and I hate that cuz Im not able to work on them. no job and hard time keeping a social life. Ya I was taking seroquel before too which made me even more sedated
now my main battle is with racing thoughts, the seroquel helps i guess but it gives me this really edgy depression that makes me feel like im about to get racing thoughts if i move, and i feel like im about to get racing thoughts anyway so :/
i just realized today though that screaming makes me feel better.. makes that perpetual feeling like im gonna have racing thoughts go away a little.
it's really nice to see all these "crazies" in the same place. i had my first psycotic break around a year or two ago, and then another, then i was diagnosed then another and another... fuck it's been a shitty year. i went through 4 or 5 different meds before we got saphris as my main drug, because all the other meds gave me a really terrible depression or akathisea or something else. my spahris makes me feel like shit but less than the other ones i guess.

Hi-Going back 15 years ago whilst I had a few days in a pyschiatric ward here in England I used to play a lot of table tennis with a bloke just a few years younger than me. He was alright at Table tennis. He was a new arrival. About a few days later I was a bit shocked to see the same bloke dribbling loads of saliva and generally exhibiting symptoms of a zombi state of mind. He was totally incompertant at table tennis. He and I never played again.Later he never knew me so we stopped talking.
I live in a group home for the mentally ill and a few of my friends take clozapine and they would choke on their own spit in the middle of the night. I take seroquel btw.
@blackjack55551234 My doc (psychiatrist) won't let me take clozapine. Seroquel is fine but in the very first time I took it I was really fucking high, and then the heavy sedation would come and I would be soooooooo tired.. blah blah you know how it is. I did also take Invega.. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE INVEGA!!! You will wake up at ridculous hours and you won't sleep.
i take 300 mg of seroquel for schizoaffective disorder, but i think i am gonna need to increase it to 400 mg or more cause i still feel weird thoughts and scary feelings. Seroquel is the only antipsychotic i have been on that i was able to manage. All others gave me akathisia which is a really bad side effect. Like i remember being on geodon, that was really bad. I wonder if clozapine gives akathisia or if it is more like seroquel which doesnt give that side effect.
I couldn't finish what I wanted to say because of the character limit. I do think it is dangerous to take a much higher amount than she is supposed to and adding alcohol doesn't help either. When I was prescribed clozapine they had to do a number of tests to make sure it was safe. They also had to put me on gradually so my body would get used to it. I think you or your sister should talk to a doctor because he would know a lot more about it than me. I am just speaking from experience.
Thank you. The day after we called the psyciatric hospital, she had some problems whit the way her heart beated. She will have to stay there for 3 month. Im happy she get the help she need!

At first it really helped me out I felt the best I had ever felt in my entire life.. for about the summer of 07, then I started tearing muscles on a like a weekly basis ( I have a muscle condition too).. so to componate for the horrible vulnerable feelings Id get from the loss of muscle theyd up the dose.
@drkingslend Well now Im on 900 mg a day (the maximum legal amount) 300 in the morning, 600 at night and Im a fuckin ZOMBIE half the day. The night dose is the worst, the dizziiness and loss of breath, drooling all night and this shit doesnt do anything for me anymore, I want to get off it but the docs want to keep me on it for life
Hi, my sister is diagnosed skitzofrenia. Sometimes she drinks, and take like 500 or 600 gr on one night, and after she acts really high. I`m worried about her health, do you know any who abuseses clozapine?? Can this overdose kill her??
by 500 or 600 gr I assume you mean milligrams. By drinking and mixing this medication is not good, but probably won't kill you because i have mixed alcohol and clozapine together but resposibly. I would be worried about the amount taken with the alcohol. I would suggest to her to take what the doctor said to take and not mix it. clozapine causes sedation and drowsiness when I take it, but I have never heard of someone getting addicted. It does make you feel different but not in a good way.

I am on Clozapine and there is a drug you can take for the drooling. It is called "Atropine." It is a drop to put in your mouth. No side effects. It's not perfect, but it does decrease the drooling a lot. Talk to your doctor about it. "ISOPTO ATROPINE OPHT 1% ATROPINE SULFATE".

I hear you, that was my main delusion. It seems so real, like you can sense it. I hated that, It was all I could think of was people reading my mind. How long have you been on it? I was on 350 mg's a day but asked my doctor to up it to 450 a day and helped a lot. Give the meds time and they can really help a lot it's just very gradual. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about upping the dose if your delusions don't go away after a while on the dose you're on. Good luck and take care.
I am doing pretty well right now, a hell of a lot better than when I was on serequel and respridal and I just don't want to take a chance, the drooling is worth the state of mind I have right now but thank's for the suggestion.
'Serdolect' is the only Anti-Psychotic drug that I've taken that doesn't make me want to do violent things or feel like a zombie. I recommend it to anyone with Schizophrenia or Bi-polar symptomns. This is not an advertisement/spam, it is just my personal opinion. Zyprexa (Olanzapine) is the worst, most affecting, piece of shit medication ever. I don't recommend it to anyone at all, ever.
I get that too sometimes actually , and ya it is painfull, I'll wake up with my arm so asleep that it's got no feeling left, then you have to go through the pins and needles feeling, it takes litterly 5 minutes to get my arm back to normal.

i took another atypical antipsychotic. Seroquel/ quetiapine. I feel totally stoned an hour after i took it. that is why i take it shortly before i go to bed , too
dude, I can totally relate I was on seroquel for a number of years and it knocks you right out. I felt like a zombie after a 14 hour sleep, especially if you drink alcohol while taking it.
Seroquel is the drug that they normaly start you of on until they come up with a diagnosis,Tell you doctor to change them becasue there lethal! Ive been on them and there are bad side affects such as waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to breath and having bad nightmares! Also,Dont get into the habbit of using them for sleeping pills,but i know lol,when youve been running round your house allnight going crazy you just have to knock yourself out lol!
Hey dude- Im a phlebotomist that worked for a pharmacy that dispensed clozapine... I know literally hundreds of schizophrenics and I can tell you that your experience is pretty typical. I can also tell you that I can see that your attitude about the whole thing is great, and that the med is working well for you. Your dose is about average- I know some folks who are on 1100-1400mg's a DAY, and get up and go to work! But whatever you do, DON"T stop taking them! Best of luck to you!
i had the drooling prob big time, and also i would wake up gasping for air, i always thought i stopped breathing in my sleep, come to think of it it hasnt happened since i stopped taking it
Hi. Clozaril has helped me a lot. However if you end up withdrawing from it suddenly it can be extremely dangerous. I suspect the cold turkey has done people in but because of 'medical ethics' it is difficult to get real info about the withdrawal problem. Clozapine is 1 - a muscle relaxant, 2 - a sedative, 3 - a hypnotic, 4 - an antipsychotic, 5 - a hallucinogen & 6 - a contraceptive. It is very dangerous to withdraw from suddenly; but it has kept me well for about six years. Godbless.
Ya my doctor got me some eyedrops that I put in my mouth to take the drooling away but it tastes terrible and gives me a cotton mouth type effect. Sometimes I drool so much at night that my t shirt gets really wet, so much I have to change shirts in the middle of the night.
I am also on Clozapine and I have to tell you that I also drool in my sleep. One thing I do is to put a towel over my pillow.
Also, there is medication you can take to put under your tongue before you go to sleep to make the drooling stop. I can't remember what it is called though. I am probably going to ask my doctor for it because I don't like drooling on my pillow
Ya that would not be a good idea, this drug has no recreational use and would be dangerous to take with out a doctors permission. Even when your starting to take it, they ween you onto to it.
It first came out when I was 15, when I was in high school. Telepathy was the main delusion and I would rarley speak unless spoken too, Me and my family went to a ski resort and I wouldn't speak or converse, I would follow them around like a lost dog. In my mind I was communicating to them through mind reading. My memory was shot. I couldn't remember simple tasks, In my mind I thought that I lost the regular everyday function of my brain, but I thought I had superhuman powers.
What you said about tripping out when taking the drug is completely true. I take the drug 1 hour before sleep and if I'm still awake after that hour some strange stuff happens. I will fall in and out of a restless sleep. I will have wake in a panic and sometimes wonder where I am. I don't know how people who take the drug during the day can function properly.
ya me too, I could never take it during the day, it would be hell. As long as I go to bed before it kicks in I'm fine. Once I slept over at a hotel and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to go outside, it wasn't pleasant I could barly speak words to people, I was increadibly fucked up.
I'm not sure what you meant by over producing saliva during sleep so please claify me on that. I'm just hoping that this med will work fingers crossed and if not I will shoot myself. Just kidding. When people take clozapine there are side effects, like any drug, the one that I get a lot is when I sleep my saliva glands overproduce saliva for some reason. I do not know why, so much sometimes that when I am asleep I wake up chocking on my own saliva or it makes my pillow wet from so much saliva. The good thing is it's only like that at when sleeping, when I'm awake I do not salivate so much. And for the actual effectiveness of clozapine, I had a very good outcome. I highly recommend it.
I'm on a medication called Olanzapine you might've heard of it or actually come across it but my doctor recently recommended Clozapine since my previous medication didnt seem to work. I read from wikipedia and so forth that it fucks with white blood level correct me if Im a bit sketchy but as you said in the video I'll need to take blood test every week or something which is fine by me as long as it fuckin works!
the thing you read on wikipedia is a very rare but potentially fatal side effect called agranulisutosis. This side effect is very rare but everyone on clozapine must take a blood test starting out with once a week and if you do get agran they must take you off and give you medication to bring your white blood cell count back to normal. The thing is if you were to get it you would probably get it during the first few months on clozapine. The longer your on it the less chance you are to get it

i`ve just had my blood test done, my white blood cells count has dropped down to 300per mm, with neurofile down to 1.70per mm
my gp has reduced the daily amount of clozapine but i think i should just stop taking it

if things goes well ill start taking clozapine in 2 days. ive been on risperdal consta, risperdal, zyprexa and seroquel. nothing worked on me

my mental state is stable now. i don't have to be on clozapine anymore. i am now on aripiprazole. my psychiatrist chose that specific medication because it doesn't have a weightgain side effect. no more monthly blood checks for me, hooray! my weight is 106kg, i expect my weight to go down to 70kg. i will be discharged from the mental health service soon due to my excellent recovery. no more sleeping with a wet pillow for me.

@keebaman Did you have any withdrawal symptoms when you came off clozapine? I came off clozapine very slowly and still experienced severe withdrawal symptoms including psychotic symptoms, I am on olanzapine now but it has been a long recovery process after stopping taking clozapine

@PsychosisUnitFM2 yeah i got psychotic symptoms too. it was aripiprazole that gave me psychotic symptoms. i couldn't sleep with that medication, so i went off it. i am back on clozapine. there is no way in hell i am going back on olanzapine. i gained 30kg because of that stuff.

after i accompany him to travel , he seem get more happy n smarter , though he had some weird symptom like feeling xtreme hot n feel no gd at heart ,even ask to see private ordinary doctor for 2 times in one day

@bbfunhk thank you for your comment,if you stop taking clozapine you have to do it very slowly and there is a risk that you can get more psychotic than you were in the first place. When I stopped taking clozapine and I was put on olanzapine straightaway. Olanzapine helped a little bit but I was still very ill, it has taken several years to recover.

Also i had another thing to say after alot of psych visits i discovered through my mom & the doctor that i had my first psychotic episode when i was 11 because i went around sayin for a period of time that i was the devil & i was evil & i see evil & was behaving rather oddly but no one picked up on it (obviously) got a question, i've been checking around is there much confusion or similarities in regards to bipolar & schizophrenia, do u know by chance? i've been questioning my diagnosis....

@mehlyssa I don't know that much about bipolar, I know that it involves high and lows in mood and mood swings and possibly psychosis, Some people have both which is called schizoeffective disorder, I think, but a doctor would know a lot more than me. Take care and good luck, Jack

Hey there, First I want to say that your videos are very informative and very real. I've been diagnosed with moderate to severe Bipolar type 1 with paranoia a little over a year ago and they got me on 800mg of seroquel and 2000mg of valproic acid. ick! I find the seroqel terrible for the dry mouth but the sedation i find it only hits me once or twice a week and only for a couple of hours but was bad at first. oh and p.s another comment after this .. goin through a bit of a spurt

one other suggestion i would make for you is to detox your body from lead and mercury. Please go to psychtruth web site and listen to the vidoe on Schizophrenia-extreme states of mind. You are not born schizophrenic you become schizophrenic. I would consider it food for thought.

glad to see you recovered. I m sorry i dont have any adivce on clozapine expect that I m concerend about all the pscho drugs outthere. Many of them cause serious long term advers effects in your brain or eventually damage your liver and kidneys. You are a young strong inteligent man. Please spend your time researching alternative treatments. Form a group of ppl who struggle with the same and pull effort toghether. Good luck to you.

Hi-Im 19 and schizophrenic. I take 300mg of clozapine a day and I just aint me with them. If i go skip them I have a great day when I wake up but on them Im a zombie. I cant think at all. I get so tired, I drool all over my pillow too. Im supposed to take them for 5 years before reducing and I hate that cuz Im not able to work on them. no job and hard time keeping a social life. Ya I was taking seroquel before too which made me even more sedated

now my main battle is with racing thoughts, the seroquel helps i guess but it gives me this really edgy depression that makes me feel like im about to get racing thoughts if i move, and i feel like im about to get racing thoughts anyway so :/
i just realized today though that screaming makes me feel better.. makes that perpetual feeling like im gonna have racing thoughts go away a little.

it's really nice to see all these "crazies" in the same place. i had my first psycotic break around a year or two ago, and then another, then i was diagnosed then another and another... fuck it's been a shitty year. i went through 4 or 5 different meds before we got saphris as my main drug, because all the other meds gave me a really terrible depression or akathisea or something else. my spahris makes me feel like shit but less than the other ones i guess.

Hi-Going back 15 years ago whilst I had a few days in a pyschiatric ward here in England I used to play a lot of table tennis with a bloke just a few years younger than me. He was alright at Table tennis. He was a new arrival. About a few days later I was a bit shocked to see the same bloke dribbling loads of saliva and generally exhibiting symptoms of a zombi state of mind. He was totally incompertant at table tennis. He and I never played again.Later he never knew me so we stopped talking.

I used Clozapine (Leponex in Europe) long time ago for several years. It's very sedating, it worked fine otherwise.
Until that day I got pain all over my body, bonepain it felt like, I walked on cruches
I was admitted to hospital, they did a lot of research but couldn't find a cause
I became Valtran to ease the pain
I was released from hospital without any solution
Soon afterwards I stopped taking Leponex, and the pain disappeared, it has been confirmed by my doctor Leponex was the cause

Seroquel is fine but in the very first time I took it I was really fucking high, and then the heavy sedation would come and I would be soooooooo tired.. blah blah you know how it is. I did also take Invega.. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE INVEGA!!! You will wake up at ridculous hours and you won't sleep.

i take 300 mg of seroquel for schizoaffective disorder, but i think i am gonna need to increase it to 400 mg or more cause i still feel weird thoughts and scary feelings. Seroquel is the only antipsychotic i have been on that i was able to manage. All others gave me akathisia which is a really bad side effect. Like i remember being on geodon, that was really bad. I wonder if clozapine gives akathisia or if it is more like seroquel which doesnt give that side effect.

I couldn't finish what I wanted to say because of the character limit. I do think it is dangerous to take a much higher amount than she is supposed to and adding alcohol doesn't help either. When I was prescribed clozapine they had to do a number of tests to make sure it was safe. They also had to put me on gradually so my body would get used to it. I think you or your sister should talk to a doctor because he would know a lot more about it than me. I am just speaking from experience.

At first it really helped me out I felt the best I had ever felt in my entire life.. for about the summer of 07, then I started tearing muscles on a like a weekly basis ( I have a muscle condition too).. so to componate for the horrible vulnerable feelings Id get from the loss of muscle theyd up the dose.

The night dose is the worst, the dizziiness and loss of breath, drooling all night and this shit doesnt do anything for me anymore, I want to get off it but the docs want to keep me on it for life

by 500 or 600 gr I assume you mean milligrams. By drinking and mixing this medication is not good, but probably won't kill you because i have mixed alcohol and clozapine together but resposibly. I would be worried about the amount taken with the alcohol. I would suggest to her to take what the doctor said to take and not mix it. clozapine causes sedation and drowsiness when I take it, but I have never heard of someone getting addicted. It does make you feel different but not in a good way.

I am on Clozapine and there is a drug you can take for the drooling. It is called "Atropine." It is a drop to put in your mouth. No side effects. It's not perfect, but it does decrease the drooling a lot. Talk to your doctor about it. "ISOPTO ATROPINE OPHT 1% ATROPINE SULFATE".

I hear you, that was my main delusion. It seems so real, like you can sense it. I hated that, It was all I could think of was people reading my mind. How long have you been on it? I was on 350 mg's a day but asked my doctor to up it to 450 a day and helped a lot. Give the meds time and they can really help a lot it's just very gradual. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about upping the dose if your delusions don't go away after a while on the dose you're on. Good luck and take care.

'Serdolect' is the only Anti-Psychotic drug that I've taken that doesn't make me want to do violent things or feel like a zombie. I recommend it to anyone with Schizophrenia or Bi-polar symptomns. This is not an advertisement/spam, it is just my personal opinion. Zyprexa (Olanzapine) is the worst, most affecting, piece of shit medication ever. I don't recommend it to anyone at all, ever.

Seroquel is the drug that they normaly start you of on until they come up with a diagnosis,Tell you doctor to change them becasue there lethal! Ive been on them and there are bad side affects such as waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to breath and having bad nightmares! Also,Dont get into the habbit of using them for sleeping pills,but i know lol,when youve been running round your house allnight going crazy you just have to knock yourself out lol!

Hey dude- Im a phlebotomist that worked for a pharmacy that dispensed clozapine... I know literally hundreds of schizophrenics and I can tell you that your experience is pretty typical. I can also tell you that I can see that your attitude about the whole thing is great, and that the med is working well for you. Your dose is about average- I know some folks who are on 1100-1400mg's a DAY, and get up and go to work! But whatever you do, DON"T stop taking them! Best of luck to you!

Hi. Clozaril has helped me a lot. However if you end up withdrawing from it suddenly it can be extremely dangerous. I suspect the cold turkey has done people in but because of 'medical ethics' it is difficult to get real info about the withdrawal problem. Clozapine is 1 - a muscle relaxant, 2 - a sedative, 3 - a hypnotic, 4 - an antipsychotic, 5 - a hallucinogen & 6 - a contraceptive. It is very dangerous to withdraw from suddenly; but it has kept me well for about six years. Godbless.

Ya my doctor got me some eyedrops that I put in my mouth to take the drooling away but it tastes terrible and gives me a cotton mouth type effect. Sometimes I drool so much at night that my t shirt gets really wet, so much I have to change shirts in the middle of the night.

I am also on Clozapine and I have to tell you that I also drool in my sleep. One thing I do is to put a towel over my pillow.
Also, there is medication you can take to put under your tongue before you go to sleep to make the drooling stop. I can't remember what it is called though. I am probably going to ask my doctor for it because I don't like drooling on my pillow

It first came out when I was 15, when I was in high school. Telepathy was the main delusion and I would rarley speak unless spoken too, Me and my family went to a ski resort and I wouldn't speak or converse, I would follow them around like a lost dog. In my mind I was communicating to them through mind reading. My memory was shot. I couldn't remember simple tasks, In my mind I thought that I lost the regular everyday function of my brain, but I thought I had superhuman powers.

What you said about tripping out when taking the drug is completely true. I take the drug 1 hour before sleep and if I'm still awake after that hour some strange stuff happens. I will fall in and out of a restless sleep. I will have wake in a panic and sometimes wonder where I am. I don't know how people who take the drug during the day can function properly.

ya me too, I could never take it during the day, it would be hell. As long as I go to bed before it kicks in I'm fine. Once I slept over at a hotel and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to go outside, it wasn't pleasant I could barly speak words to people, I was increadibly fucked up.

When people take clozapine there are side effects, like any drug, the one that I get a lot is when I sleep my saliva glands overproduce saliva for some reason. I do not know why, so much sometimes that when I am asleep I wake up chocking on my own saliva or it makes my pillow wet from so much saliva. The good thing is it's only like that at when sleeping, when I'm awake I do not salivate so much. And for the actual effectiveness of clozapine, I had a very good outcome. I highly recommend it.

I'm on a medication called Olanzapine you might've heard of it or actually come across it but my doctor recently recommended Clozapine since my previous medication didnt seem to work. I read from wikipedia and so forth that it fucks with white blood level correct me if Im a bit sketchy but as you said in the video I'll need to take blood test every week or something which is fine by me as long as it fuckin works!

the thing you read on wikipedia is a very rare but potentially fatal side effect called agranulisutosis. This side effect is very rare but everyone on clozapine must take a blood test starting out with once a week and if you do get agran they must take you off and give you medication to bring your white blood cell count back to normal. The thing is if you were to get it you would probably get it during the first few months on clozapine. The longer your on it the less chance you are to get it
