hey i think your really good. i mean i can only play basic. the only songs i play are gorillaz: feel good inc and clint eastwood- with many mistakes. though i do find bass easier than electric guitar.

Understandably omitted, the slide in the begining is played on a fret-less bass and just doesn't sound the same on a fretted instrument.

It's an harmonic slide. Doesn't have to be a fretless bass to make that sound.
