We'll Bloomberg's want's to be safe from other people with guns so HIS body guards... carry guns! But god forbid you want/need to live in that giant cesspool of a city and want to protect yourself, your outta luck!

In most European countries it is tremendously hard to purchase a gun, and you are not allowed to carry them with you anywhere except a shoting range or when you go hunting.

The only real exception is sitzerland wehere almost every male adult has a gun in his home after his military service.

If they own a bunch of land, and pose no danger to anyone, why should they not be allowed to drive around on it if they want to?

Why shouldn't the same go for owning a weapon? Should we take away their knives as well so they don't accidentally poke innocent people? Does owning a gun mean you should be allowed to fire it off where it might hit innocent people?

I don't think you hate blind people. I do think your stance is based on some false presuppositions.

Just because someone owns a gun does not mean they should be allowed to run around shooting it off in an unsafe manner. If a blind man wants to own a gun and has proper supervision and a safe environment to shoot it, why should he be prevented from owning one? I agree that it probably isn't a good idea, but as long as safety precautions are in effect, why shouldn't it be legal?

That's the insanity I am talking about. People who like guns believe they have the right to have guns because of:

- history

- 2nd amendment

But it is the same folks who also tend to believe in the right to "peaceful" protest against the government. They are the same people who if pissed will shoot anyone to defend themselves. This is way too far. Blind people, mentally challenged people and kids should not have gun whatever. I dare anyone SANE to PROVE me otherwise.

I agree with you that a loud barking dog is a terrific deterrent against house break-ins. Robbers do not want anyone inside the house to be forewarned of their arrival. There are inexpensive alarms that work great. Lock your doors and install deadbolts.

As for protection outside the home, a little bit of common sense goes a long way. Don't go to the mall at night. Just like when swimming, don't go alone if you do go out at night.
