  • Love the harmony at the end.

  • My friend, you are amazing!! Your videos (and those of another fantastic multitracker, Jesi and the Jesis) have lifted my spirits and given me a smile and hope during some dark days in the last couple years. You have a fantastic gift, and I can't thank you enough for the joy that you've brought to me and thousands of others through your creative efforts. Rock on, man!!

  • @MidwesternBoy1 Thank you for your nice message. You can support my work by making a donation (link in the video description) or by purchasing my audio learning tracks (jneel@free.fr). Cheers

  • i thought this pretty awesome!

  • @TheSlimskin Thanks! This video would look great on your Facebook wall! ;-)

  • This and Everybody Wants To Be A Cat are my favs :D

  • @FrizzlerGuy ;-)

  • Is it Al Jolson's or other version? I remember James Cagney saying 'You see, momma? I'm on the top of the world' in the end of 'White Heat'...

  • omg! I love this so much! :3

  • Well... looks like *puts shades on* he hasn't paid a visit to the barbershop lately. *Yeah!*

  • @xDGiulianoxD Did you turn the audio on?

  • @trudbol Of course! Great singing by the way!

  • Can you please do an a capella version of Someone's Rocking My Dreamboat by The Ink Spots :)

  • is pau gasol?

  • @bazozia Is that supposed to be funny?

  • @trudbol of course

  • Wow. Fantastic. Supurb singing, and I love the way the notes resolve at the end. O, and thanks for boosting the bass in your vids; it really works well. :)

  • @tigerlady36 Thanks! I actually didn't boost the bass in this video, it was my real (morning) voice (and hair). ;-)

  • @trudbol Dang! You could have fooled me! Nice job! Other subject:

Have you truly never studied music? Say anything and I will believe it!! lol

  • @tigerlady36 No I've never studied music, I'm self-taught. ;-)

  • @trudbol You must be a genius! I sang for many years and worked with some excellent people, who taught me techniques that you seem to know naturally. Good job! Ok, one more question, "si vous n'avez pas l'esprit:" Do you read music? (PS: Love the hair!!!)

  • How to you manage to sing like this? I'm a bass, and I can't imagine singing as high as you sing in some of your videos without falsetto.

  • @CaramelMarshmallow I sang the bass part here with a morning voice in this video. As a bass, you're actually at an advantage to develop a pretty broad range, more so than a tenor. I'm probably a baritone, and most of the songs I sing range from F2 to G4, which is baritone range. And remember I sing into a microphone, so amplification helps too. ;-)

  • if I had a credit card I would send you a donation just for being awesome.

  • @omniiijay Well, you can share my video with your friends and tell them to check out my channel. it's free and it's a form of support. ;-)

  • can you please write the lyrics of this song?

  • @andc95 I just added the lyrics. There's an easy trick to find lyrics for any song: just Google the name of the song + lyrics. ;-)

  • @trudbol thanks :)

  • Awesome man. and how higher your voice, the more your hair is well done

  • Hey, nice tag! what software are you using to create this video? im using sony vegas pro, check out my video. feel free to give me some comments and tips.

  • Is this your arrangement? It's very cool! Is it published?

  • Wonderful! Is simply brilliant! I would like to do it with my quartet, can you send me the vioces?

  • this is really great!! this is my all time favorite barbershop song :) you're really good

  • @peachyfedora Awesome, thanks! One eternal life coming up (stay tuned)!

  • Random comment...

  • @wendys120 YOU again! ;-p

  • nice combination

  • your hair is .... Cool XD

  • say how do you record these acapellas do you record the bass and harmony first or the main voice or hows that work

  • @999coolfilms Yup, that's it: I recorded the bass track first, and then used it as a template track for the other voices. It's that simple. ;-)

  • @RAIGER1993 ;-)

  • It's Jesus! And he's singing barbershop!

  • @salvob21 Wait till you see me walk on water.

  • @trudbol Wait tilll you see me swin through land ;)

  • I like the bass dude the most :P

  • Loving everybit of it especially the love you give to your fans. It'll be a shame if you ever lose that

  • @harrygim Thank you for the kind words. ;-) Do share my work around you and help me get noticed. Making these videos and exchaging with people on YouTube is great, but it's very time-consuming and I'd love to find a way to continue making this a cappella music and pay bills too. ;-)

  • I think she's refering to Al Jolson.

  • You're FANTASTIC men...

  • @RipexMyxHeartxOut3 Thanks! Feel free to share the video with friends! ;-)

  • Fantastic! What is your vocal range? Because that bass line is awesome! x

  • @saxmadcy Thank you! I'm probably a baritone. I had my morning voice when I sang the bass line on this one. ;-)

  • @trudbol you also had your morning hair seemingly...

  • @hifiveoverthere Haha, good point. I actually had a bad hair year in 2008... ;-p

  • I like this version, but al's version is a bit better than this.

  • @MsCayla13 Who's Al?

  • The bass is... PERFECT!

  • @IeegoxMaiin Thanks! Do share this video with your friends on Facebook and let them know about my YouTube channel, I'd appreciate the support! Cheers ;-)

  • thanks so much :)

  • could you pretty please tell me where you found the sheet music for this? or should our barbershop kinda wing it? lol

  • @enLightningStrike I bought it from a-cappella(dot)com. Cheers ;-)

  • You make my mood go high every time i see and mostly listen to your videos! :) .

Have you been going through some kind of music conservatory or school or something?

Anyways, thx for sharing your talent with me and my friends here at youtube and in real life.

  • @SofusGP Thanks! No I haven't, I'm self-taught. I'm glad you enjoy my work! ;-)

  • Could you please make a try for "Owner of the lonely heart" by YES?

It might be very, very tricky, but if anyone in the world finally could pull that off, it would be you.

You might need a 5th guy lol. It's not a challenge per se, but I heard a couple of teams that tried it and it was awful. At least you know your band well enough and I am sure you would be able to pull it through.

Then release that on a single and you can laugh, all away to the bank. :)

  • @BlutoLongneck Could you provide me with sheet msuci? I'd be glad to have a look at it. CHeers ;-)

  • Insanity and split personalities are proven already.

You just took it one step further and I applaud you, you are so talented.

    Thank you!!! :)

  • @TJgrebdnul Ah, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my work. Cheers

  • Where can I get the sheet music pls? :-)

  • @vjouza You'l find it for $2 on a.cappella (dot) com, in the men's section. Cheers

  • Would you ever consider redoing this one using that new software or whatever you're using now? You were right about the sound quality, and I hate not being able to turn up the volume. But I just LOVE this song. Pretty please? lol ;-)

  • @wendys120 Haha! Maybe, but there's so much to do and so little time. And I don't have the bass voice I had back then, since I quit smoking. Yeah, yeah, don't hit me on the head, I said I quit. ;-)

  • @trudbol If you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known. Now I'm judging you! lol... kidding! ;-)

  • @TheClarity99 Thanks ;-)

  • I was redirected to your channel by searching the "Baby on Board" song from The Simpsons. To be honest, your videos are one of the best I've seen in a while. And these are not just kind words, I've sailed the internet from north to south and west to east, and only special stuff like this can entertain me that much! You have a great voice. And a great coordination indeed! My congratulations from a geeky eighteenager guy from Uruguay. Keep it up, pal!

  • @MCC900 AH, thank you, I appreciate it. Do check out my other videos and feel free to let your friends know about my a cappella productions too! Cheers

  • I miss this song. *sigh*

  • Congratulations, such nice job, nice way to sing, nice voice, You Are Awsome

  • @manocool09 Thank you! ;-)

  • Do you use autotune or melodyne for moderate pitch correction?

  • @Marshillboy No, none at all. In fact, this recording is really pitchy! ;-)

  • I can tell your doing bass at the bottom right, baritone from the bottom left, lead for the upper left, and tenor for the upper right in this song.

  • Whoa! beard! o____0 lol

  • Still love this one... glad you lost the beard, though. Cheers!!

  • barbershop is einfach nur geil *____*

  • That's some darn good Bass you got going around. I'm guessing you're a Baritone? But to hear a Baritone singing that low with such resonance is actually very cool.

  • @TheDarkSiNs Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the show! Cheers

  • do you have a CD? i would love to have an audio version of your songs!

  • Sorry Julien, I am a Baritone in "Four to the Bar" I was wanting to raise the volume on the baritone part to follow.

  • @JHARDMAN21 Unfortunately, it's not possible to extract a single voices from a mix like this, sorry...

However... I make vocal learning tracks for barbershop and could provide you with the individual voices for this song. If you're interested in my services, send me a private message, OK?

    Cheers

  • Is there a way to enhance a track part?

  • @JHARDMAN21 What do you mean?

  • this is so awesome!! made my day

  • @TheEbibaby2 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Feel free to share my video with your friends too, I'd appreciate it. Cheers

  • The good old, beardy days, eh?

  • @edgeypoosisepic You bet! Sound like you've been there too. ;-) Cheers

  • @trudbol im only young yet. its more fuzz!

  • Great stuff - loving the video! I don't suppose you could give away where you sourced the sheet music for this from?

  • @MadOrganist101 Sure, I ordered the sheet music on a-cappella(dot)com, it costs $2. ;-)

  • hey can you do me a favor? I am trying to figure this one out by ear. i can already tell you are singing in E flat and iit's pretty much a I IV V thing. Do you have any idea what the harmonies are in the bridge or the chords? And how do you transition to F at the end? This is one of my all-time favorite multitracks.

  • @IUSB99 I sang this with sheet music, you can order in on a-cappella(dot)com, it's only $2 and should spare you a lot of effort. ;-)

  • The excellent singing apart, I love the joy in the voice and how the words are pronounced. Dialect wise it sounds close to recordings from that era (at least how my memore recalls it). Many thanks for sharing!

  • @MrShadedmoon Thank you, glad you enjoyed the show! Cheers

  • *lol* This guy is great!! :-D

  • @missbarbershopper Thank you! I'm a tenor, but I had a cold that day and it came in quite handy! Do have a look at my other a cappella videos. Cheers

  • @trudbol I think you are more of a multi-tool than a tenor ;)

  • you know what? we sang this in the Pride of Iowa Barbershop Society for Youth and ton of guys came too! We got to sing this with the barbershop Storm Front!!!

Great job on multitracking! im still learning! XD

  • 14 people aren't sitting on top of the world, rolling along, quitting the blues of the world or signing a song.

  • You're just so fun! I can't help but smile watching your videos!

I love the comment before mine "it impresses and scares me that you can sing all 4 parts for this" lol I agree!

  • Thats awesome. I got a chance to sing this for the first time today and i loved it. the bass part is more fun than most it is on songs. and it impresses and scares me that you can sing all 4 parts for this.
