Hey there my friend, you are so right about the 70's/80's. There were sooo many great bands out there that influenced my whole entire life. With these clips I try to honor them as best as I can. Yeah man, you got that right. Larry Graham, Louis Johnson, Bernard Edwards and Nathaniel Philips are masters in subtle slapping. They can play either very powerful or very subtle. The more subtle the harder it is though...

Hey Jamiebug, sorry for the late reaction but you are SO right about this one. Playin' isn't all about speed and licks. This tune shows that slow playing can be even harder then the speedy thumb stuff. You really have to get into it to keep it steady and going without over doing! All credits to the original player of this song: Nathaniel Phillips! One of my all time fav's!
