  • I've been running my TJ open headers for a few weeks now, took my exhaust off temporarilly and left it at a friends house and black people stole it (she lives in super ass ghetto so yes I KNOW it was black ppl don't need politically correct bs tellin me otherwise) so now I run it as is, your right about torque dropping off i've deff noticed, but it still runs like a champ.

  • haha i did that to mine and then slapped a 3inch header muffler wher the cat and stock muffler was it sounds pretty beast

  • yah i gotta a jeep they got stock headers too, no exhaust manifold, i wanna put a chip in my jeep they got tons of tourque... i love 4.0 straight 6s!!

  • @PianoProdigy528 stock headers no exhaust manifold?? haha you are a retard

  • uhhh..my 90 cherokee has stock headers. I'll take a video if you truly don't believe me

  • @nickdoof headers aren't a stock part u dumbass..u have manifolds

  • Like I said before, I can make a video. I know what a fucking manifold is, i'm not a blind ape.

  • sounds like an old plane yeah fucks the vales up

  • sounds like a really old beat to shit 5.9 cummins lol.

  • take a sawsall to your pipe before the cat and muffler and let the exhaust run with no backpressure. it sounds cool but it runs like shit and you'll basically fuck up your motor. but whatever. have fun

  • You will not fuck that motor up running an open header, and you don't even have a header, it's just the stock manifold I guarantee.

  • youre wrong man those years of jeeps were the 4.0 ho and they had a header stock, not a manifold

  • No, definitely have manifold. I have one of 'those years of jeeps' and it doesn't have headers.

  • Definitely have a manifold. Exhaust and intake manifolds, no headers.

  • well my 98 has a stock header on it not a exhaust manifold

  • its debateable....some say it will becuase the engine may or may not run a little lean do to the 0 backpressure. which will fuck up a motor. another thing i haerd was it may burn the exhuast valves....no exhuast has never been the cuase of engine problems on any car iver seen though...just on smaller engines like quads or gokarts n shit, where there no efi to correct the air/fuel ratio

  • it's not debatable at all. Have you not seen trucks run 3 inch on there small 350s? That's almost no back pressure. Now, without a manifold which is what is on that jeep, not a header, you definitely would fuck the motor up. Cold air would get sucked up back into the exhaust valve, causing major problems. But jeeps are easy to find parts for. I'm doin a 350 swap into my xj! Will be starting around May of next year though lol.

  • @Austin1199396 lol, only a pos jap car... wont hurt a gm

  • go OllllO

  • how is it headers when there is only one? nice jeep

  • okay.. well "open header" just doesn't sound right. sorry

  • ha im just messing with ya, yeah open header does sound weird

  • dude, that's jeep abuse, lol, I'm sure you got something on there after, but,it does damage your vavles, jeep valves need backpressure more than others, so its important to remember you'll fuck shit up running her open,ev'one say oh no no,and u wont notice, till you get her all together with a nice setup and the low end is gone, lol you'll be runnin at 2320 instead of 21 on the highway, pfff, i just had to be a fag and ruin this whole page

  • we only ran it 5 or 6 miles total on open headers.. that same day we put on the flowmaster.. check my other vids to hear it..

  • @shitbag139 Well, shitbag, you're right about one thing, you are a fag.

  • @shitbag139 Well, shitbag, you're right about one thing, you are a fag. Not to mention you're wrong. This motor can handle it. I had a buddy who used his jeep just for off roading, but he liked how it sounded with no exhaust, so he ran it with it cut before the cat. He figured it's got the power anyways. He must have redlined it 1000s of times, and put 50,000 miles on it with the headers open, and it still runs just fine. Facts before ignorance, sir.
