I used Toon Boom Studio 4 for the animation and Maya, Flash, and Photoshop for the backgrounds. I used Final Cut Pro 6 for editing, and After Effects to do the dissolves (for some reason final cut didn't like my Quicktime files and would choke whenever I added a transition).
