  • Bayern 1 sei dank, das ich das Lied hören durfte- war mir unbekannt, jetzt gehörts zu meinen Favoriten. Danke auch Dir, Fritz, fürs einstellen

  • Wonder what his hair looks like now.

  • fantastic song then and now, wouldn't be lost in todays music

  • why I learned to play the jaw harp forty years ago. the dandelion label of john peel thanx john rip

  • when i was a young sprog living in germany I used to stay at my German mates house, 1973 i think , we always played this , fantastic even now ..and im 51 years old

  • When I want to be reminded of my former hometown, Durbs, SOUTH Africa. I tune in to these songs....just like a symphony

Although, there was axxxxxd, we still had the freedom of listening to our fav radio stations.

  • @jewellers100 I know what you mean oukie! We listened to the same stuff in Newcastle (Natal) too :)

  • @jewellers100 I know what you mean oukie! We listened to the same stuff in Newcastle (Natal) too :)

Actually I still have the vinyl single!

  • @NucDoc58 This used to be a Port Natal - 'forces favourite' and golden oldie tune. Those were the days when music was music

  • very cool song , great

  • 73 was a good year for many pop songs Lots of these artist still perform

  • get high

  • Heard of the name, but never the songs themselves. Sounds nice. I'm always on the lookout for those hidden gems of the era that produced groups like Led Zeppelin, Santana and Yes.

  • I saw this lot supporting Argent at St Marys College Twickenham in 1970. I was 7 years old!

  • the blues..still sounds as good

  • Ya know, I agree with 14dec1955, as I listened to this song, I was digging it...I had this sense that the lead singer John Fiddler projects his singing similar to John Lennnon's "Instant Karma" & looks a little like him slightly. Peter Hope Evans~mouth bow player reminded me a lot of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant who is a harmonica player also...Led Zeppelin plays exotic intruments in their music, I heard in the ['70's] '80's. There is a bit of funk, disco, rock & Love in their music...Cool~

  • I don't think I heard of this band~I was around for those '60's music. I may had seen their album while searching for the Beatles...I had never heard their music but the sound is familar...Can you dig it?

  • I'd forgotten...what a track! It's got everything. Fantabulosa!!

  • super toll!!!!!!

  • just been listening to new bottles old medicine great record

  • yeah me too...get the album its terrific...

  • johnnie walker played this on bbc radio 2 yesterday on his souds of the 70s show...havent heard it for years...another lost classic ...wonderfull.

  • @wrightjar Johnnie Walker has alot to answer for! I'd forgotten all about this song until he played it. Now I can't stop playing it.Absolutely magic!

  • I've been searching for this for years. It still sounds great. (A bit Julian Lennony)

  • I used to love Medicine Head. Deserved far more success than they got

  • Wonderful english hippie music from early seventies. I have great memories to this song.

  • God i remember going into Rumbelows and buying this. where have the years gone ?

  • Did Keith Relf play bass on this track?

  • Great one!!!

  • i know his kids... they are both nutters......

  • Kann das mal jemand in besserer Musik Qualität einstellen? Das Lied ist klasse.

  • No rising sun for german kids....))) sinting at the "DISCO" without any emotions.

  • @hennef53

This is hardly dance music is it? LOL

  • wow, last time I heard this tune was in 1975

  • Brilliant i havnt heard this classic for over 30 years

  • But they look sooooo funny I cant help laughing sorry to be a bit rude about it lol.

  • being a motown fan i dont know much about medicine head only this and "one and one "are two great sounds throughout with vocals and catchy sound,in fact i brought both when they first came out and still have them and i still enjoy to present day....thanks for posting fritz, take care

  • bizarre look

  • great song!

  • I recall this, and it's great to hear it again. Am I mistaken, or do I hear bits of Emma by Hot Chocolate in among this? Great song released the following year, 1974. Mind you in 1984, New Order's Thieves Like Us was apparently supposed to owe a smidgeon to Emma! And so it goes. Influence is a good thing. Cover versions, however? Sometimes yes, mostly no! As in Nooooo!

  • ....My husbands hair when we first got together.......haha.

  • Takes me back-.. Blah blah.. brilliant , I was about 11 !

  • Heard this on the radio yesterday for the first time in about thirty years. Brilliant.

I think George Ford (latterly of Cockney Rebel) played bass guitar with these folks.

  • MH seemed part of the furniture to me back then. If I'd known their music was gonna get hard to lay your hands on obviously Ida taken more care of mine. Incidentally their album 'Dark side of the moon' released a year before Pink Floyd's was made available on CD [mail order only] a couple of years back. It was unique [sorta poetry to music] at the time...still is. It's an absolute must have I swear. Really beautiful. I'll return with the details on where you can get it within 24hrs. x sarah

  • Oops, sorry about that apostrophe! And I suppose you could say the tremolo twang sort of bends the note into two.

  • The instrument is called a jew's harp, you grip it between your teeth and pluck a prong which echoes in your mouth. Only one note and lot's of broken teeth for the unpracticed.

  • What is that mouth instrument that is being played? Anyone?

  • Duesharp ( I think that's how it's spelt, pronounced "Juice Harp" :D )

  • No wait, It's jew's harp rofl

  • the instrument in question is called a MOUTHBOW , i play one also, in a medicine head tribute act 2tonic, some of which is also on youtube

  • This song is great.Saw them at Cleopatras in derby way back in 197something..small band, small venue, big feel, good memories.

  • I saw them at Cleos too, must have been 75/6 on a Thursday night. Brilliant memories. Do you remember the name of the rock n roll band that used to pitch up occasionally. Played in the Sha na na mould, I suppose.
