when i was a young sprog living in germany I used to stay at my German mates house, 1973 i think , we always played this , fantastic even now ..and im 51 years old
Heard of the name, but never the songs themselves. Sounds nice. I'm always on the lookout for those hidden gems of the era that produced groups like Led Zeppelin, Santana and Yes.
Ya know, I agree with 14dec1955, as I listened to this song, I was digging it...I had this sense that the lead singer John Fiddler projects his singing similar to John Lennnon's "Instant Karma" & looks a little like him slightly. Peter Hope Evans~mouth bow player reminded me a lot of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant who is a harmonica player also...Led Zeppelin plays exotic intruments in their music, I heard in the ['70's] '80's. There is a bit of funk, disco, rock & Love in their music...Cool~
I don't think I heard of this band~I was around for those '60's music. I may had seen their album while searching for the Beatles...I had never heard their music but the sound is familar...Can you dig it?
being a motown fan i dont know much about medicine head only this and "one and one "are two great sounds throughout with vocals and catchy sound,in fact i brought both when they first came out and still have them and i still enjoy to present day....thanks for posting fritz, take care
I recall this, and it's great to hear it again. Am I mistaken, or do I hear bits of Emma by Hot Chocolate in among this? Great song released the following year, 1974. Mind you in 1984, New Order's Thieves Like Us was apparently supposed to owe a smidgeon to Emma! And so it goes. Influence is a good thing. Cover versions, however? Sometimes yes, mostly no! As in Nooooo!
New Bottles Old Medicine...Dandelion Super UICY 9439 [54.07] Heavy On The Drum...Dandelion Super UICY 9440 [40.41] Dark Side Of The Moon...Dandelion Super UICY 9441 [34.09] Any problems there is a fan club might help [based in Holland I believe]...doh orite I'll look out the details. Enjoy x Sarah
MH seemed part of the furniture to me back then. If I'd known their music was gonna get hard to lay your hands on obviously Ida taken more care of mine. Incidentally their album 'Dark side of the moon' released a year before Pink Floyd's was made available on CD [mail order only] a couple of years back. It was unique [sorta poetry to music] at the time...still is. It's an absolute must have I swear. Really beautiful. I'll return with the details on where you can get it within 24hrs. x sarah
The instrument is called a jew's harp, you grip it between your teeth and pluck a prong which echoes in your mouth. Only one note and lot's of broken teeth for the unpracticed.
love this song and, saw them when i was 14, fantastic gig. short life band. any one no were they are now? all my paper rounds paid 4 dis. lol smoochiecool-nerly 50 now.
I saw them at Cleos too, must have been 75/6 on a Thursday night. Brilliant memories. Do you remember the name of the rock n roll band that used to pitch up occasionally. Played in the Sha na na mould, I suppose.

Oops, sorry about that apostrophe! And I suppose you could say the tremolo twang sort of bends the note into two.
