@sorshavampyr I thought that as well, but Manx cats have no tail at all whereas this guy seems to have a really short stubby one. It may be a slightly different breed of Manx cat though.

It's probably a Manx or American Bobtail mix. Neither have tails. Just because the kitten does not have a tail does not mean someone mistreated it.
