@sethch53 when all you have is rudder and elevator, there isn't any advantage to having the throws too high. If you stall out you will have a much harder time recovering, without ailerons.
Nice work!Keep it up!You should try the 3 cell 1800 .Wrks well with stock set up,but you can put the motor mount and firewall from the trojan !Add servos for ailerons! The brushless motor from the trojan and it really rips! All for fairly cheap!whatch some of my videos!
it looks good i have three types of propeller : the super cub stock prop ,P-51 mustang prop and the spitfire prop = there all the same it look like the P-51 prop the orange tips indicate it the spitfire has light colouerd tips >im random yes.8 cell battery hmm ihave a high powered 7 cell 1400 at the moment i dont know how high the power rate goes but its good . the controls horns like you said are uncontrolable when put to the inward setting its really for pros(me beginner)well done with the SC!
If you get bored when you are flying you can try these, mostly easy stunts even with the stock battery. on is flying inverted, how I do it, is get up about 200ft. then bring the plane sharply down to gain speed, then start a backflip, and once your inverted, move the stick up (trim down) to keep the plane inverted. if there is know wind you should be able to keep it upside down for as much
just fly level at high enough speed to make the plane go vertical, then reduce the throttle and rudder to the extreme left or right. and it should do it fine.
well your probably getting bored of this by now. I will get a stunt video on some time.
hey, looks good. i've done some of the same things. I also added ailerons and an outrunner 150 watt motor. check out my Super Cub video. keep the good ideas comming!!
i have three in wheels!

The closest notch in on the horn is not bad to fly-with, well when your flying $5,000 planes you get use to it, lololol

Is adjusting the control horns really a mad? If it's in the instruction manual I don't think it counts as a modification.
dillzio 2 years ago
Well, for one thing that is not the only thing I did to the cub, and for another it isn't in the manual.
Check out my part 2, I did a lot more on that video.

Yo devil Dog post that video of the brushless upgrade.
what TX.RX / serv you using? ESC?
stormranger6 2 years ago
Hey, but I never did put a brushless set up in'er yet. I might be before too long, but haven't yet.
And everything you see there is still stock.
If you want to see them fly with a brushless, check out youmanskids video response. (The one furthest left in the response box.)

Cool, I did the same, just didn't get a new motor.
Didn't feel like getting new electronics,
so I just bought a 3D plane.

Part two.
One that is easyer is a hammerhead.
just fly level at high enough speed to make the plane go vertical, then reduce the throttle and rudder to the extreme left or right. and it should do it fine.
well your probably getting bored of this by now. I will get a stunt video on some time.
stay tuned!
