  • Lola, you deserve a studio for your videos! Those acoustics and equipment are an insult to your playing.

Thumbs up if Youtube should rent her her one.

  • I love and appreciate the way you play. Allow me to introduce myself my name is dj drew. And I would love to collaborate .

  • 922NR YOU ARE A FREAKING RETARD IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS FREAKING AMAZING AND NEEDS TO BE NOTICED BY SOME RECORDING ARTISTS!

  • ok its impressive...but to me it sounds like crap

  • beautiful! I am going to start purchasing your albums!

  • do you give lessons???

  • I think you're an amazing pianist but I wish you would record it in a way that is more appropriate to your skill. I feel like I'm looking at the mona lisa with dirty shades on.

  • wow you are so talented!! °°

  • I never say this, but this time I can be sincere... you have great talent. And I love to hear more, maybe some more refined less virtuoso. Regardless, you made my day!

  • This just makes me want to practice for 4 hours a day.

  • Are there any composers that sound anything like what she writes? Because I LOVE her style and want to know who she was inspired by, if anybody.

  • @ktm64 to me she is a mash up of my two absolute favorite styles, french impressionism, like ravel, debussy, or satie and european late romantic like shostakovich, rachmaninov or liszt, they're all amazing and i could never choose one, but if i had too she sounds the most like liszt :)

  • lola te amo

  • Good job, nice..5 star

  • @iiiiiiccccc'c i hope if madonna hear's this she will finally retire ;)

@shania444 - ha ha ha.. you screwed up even more than before with your latest "4eva!" comment... ha ha.. you're barely out of puberty.. Lola is really great... but don't speak of things you do not know amigo!

  • Its like a spider running across a floor. Never seen that amount of dexterity. Keep up the good work. Make sure you are taking care of your body. Nip arthritis in the bud.

  • i love it..

  • Quite interesting. I thought you were going to break into Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony for a moment. Bravo.

  • Wow wow wow... if Madonna would see this, she would totally fall in love with it.

  • very nice, your technique is a high level... i would rather hear you do originals, or at least do paraphrase on more melodic, harmonically advanced pieces of music. Don't waste your skills on garbage pop tunes.

  • negativity from me? about Astanova?! when? where?

  • this was great too.

have you ever tried writing an original piece of your own? i have a feeling it could be real nice.

  • Nothing but negativity from you Mr.

  • I'd like to see one of your pieces.

  • Thank you for this info. However, I am not as concerned with 'her ass' as I am with her playing. But, thanks for the info, anyway. When I said 'all of you', I was referring to seeing her from head to toe, frontal. No ass.

  • I am very impressed by this arrangement and the skill with which you executed it. Very, very good. I look forward to seeing you and hearing you play on March 9th. I think Madonna must be very impressed with this!

  • Please Lola don't let it get to you about the comments being said about not sounding the same, those are the musical idiots looking for richard claydeman arrangements. Your arrangements are fantastic, and your playing is marvelous, i hope to see you in steinway hall on the 9th.

  • this is... fantastic... your arrangement skills are impeccable. and your playing is flawless... Great Job!

  • Lola, you did an amazing job with this song considering what you had to work with. Mondona's "Music" barely even has a melody but you did a good job of working around it. I challenge you to pick a song more epic. I would love to see your virtuouso interpretation of something like "One" by Metallica or "Lateralus" by Tool. I think you could turn them into whole new and different masterpiece from what they are already. Please consider it =) You're amazing!!

  • @kingofscottsdale You read my mind! I was thinking how great it would be for her to do at least a song with some good, more challenging melodies like Tool's Lateralus. Hell, most by tool! Lola, never seizes to amaze me. But seriously, out of all the beautiful music out there, they picked between Kanye, Madonna and what was the other one? Regardless, all shitty. Well, at least the Madonna is the best out of the three, but eh.

Nevertheless, Lola, you made this song into a work of true art!

  • Here's as close to her ass as you're gonna get. /watch?v=tou784DGrss

  • great job, Madonna would be proud.

  • Spider hands! :O

  • I dont know how because I wasn't even looking for piano, but I stumbled on your channel. We had a piano growing up as children and my grandmother and father always played for the family and us kids. I absolutlly love the piano, and wish I would have learned how to play. You are awesome, keep up the great work. I enjoyed watching and listening every minute. Thanks, you kick ass!

  • Fantastic!

  • I'm absolutely amazed. I write my own stuff too, and I'm completely blown away with your own versions of these songs. How did your music career take off and how do your videos get so many views? I'd like to hear back from you on that one.

  • Intense and so utterly real. Bravo. *****

  • you're amazing! this inspires me to play more

  • I don't like madonna at... but when you play her song your way it starts to sounds like real music.

    Good job!!

  • It's great like the pianist doing Radiohead versions that some classical pianists are doing whatBach in his Goldberg Mozart very oftenandThalbergLisztTausigChopin and others havealways done.i hope this can get some youngsters interested in piano and Music in general.gerswin is where i go for making stuff out of the old like most Jazz musiciens.

  • Fantastic... I'd have never thought to have this song interpreted this way... you'd never know... Loved it!

  • Absolutely amazing...Id like to hear you do rachmaninov piano concerto 3 in D minor. Please tell me you have a video of that already! :) Btw, not only are you talented but you are very beautiful as well! ;)

  • I like the texture of the whole piece. Very unique.

  • Lola. Where did you come from? Why am I just now hearing your playing? I would throw myself under your piano any day. You are like a bolt out of the blue. You are stunning. I can't say enough.

  • ive honestly never heard something so good

  • im your number one fan

  • i dont know anything about pianos but judging by ur fingers hitting those keys u must be the best of the best

  • Good little Quote at the end...!

  • There is only one Lola. Nice creativity, adaptation and class. I enjoyed it.

  • holyshit!!! very well done!

  • WORK THAT FUCKING PIANO WOMAN!

  • LOL @ eriqchangstudio! (That's exactly how I felt.)

  • hahahah work that shit

  • amazing! never heard anything like this (from Madonna, to a classical variation of the same) we need more people like you in this world...

  • Absolutely fantastic! Your "disclaimer" is exactly how I feel about "note-for-note" covers of music, that it's as easy... and as musically fulfilling as making a photocopy. For someone to include *themselves* and what they have to offer as a musician is a large part of how you can judge their skills. Lola's is astonishing, and I salute her for putting it up for all to experience.

  • the only reason ppl say "its nothing like original" is because they can't take the high level of music compositional and playing skill involved in this completely fresh and new music/score. so pooooo them; your style of music is wonderful (: woop!

  • lol shes still playin the song it juat has different variations, i love the disclaimer cus i hate watchin covers cause most the time its painful lol

  • u r a beast!(skills)

  • Awesome Lola.... When you come back to Houston let us know!

    Dave Smith - Forshey Piano

  • Beautifully creative and technical. I feel a hint of Rachmaninoff in it's harmonic complexity.

  • yep, I feel that too.

  • That was great. I would love to hear your rendition of my favorite love song. 2 Live Crew's, "Me so Horney." LOL. Sorry I know I'm stupid.

  • I love it

  • OMG...This was awesome...if cocaine does that then I will be like Tony Montana next time I play to see if I can even come close to it. Lola...this was awesome...

  • Lola Astinova is the REAL THING people! True musical genius... She's one in 7 billion as far as I can tell. Aside from her virtuoso piano technique, her talent for composition and thematic development is very rare in our time. Great taste too. Thanks for the music Lola!!!

sincerely, Paul Matthew Moore - Composer/Music Director, University of Washington Dance Program.

  • I certainly agree with your assessment of Lola's talents...everything she does is exciting and fresh, presented beautifully.

  • @shania444 You expect us to believe that Paul Moore's username is "shania"? WTF?

  • @hackel137 Whooo are you? I don't know that many cellist/percussionists who live in germany...

hmmmm, I'll make a friend request!

I don't know how to change my user name so i'm stuck with shania444 4eva!

like a big shania tatoo on my face!

    cheeeeers!

  • @shania444 1 in 7 billion xDD Wouldn't that mean she's the only one in the period of a lifetime? xD But yeah she's so great!

  • @shania444 Really ? Are you really Paul Matthew Moore ? Or just an imposter. Anyone can log on to youtube and call themselves Paul Moore. Hey, what the hell, I AM Paul Matthew Moore too.

    Sincerely,

    Paul Matthew Moore - Composer/Music

Director, University of Washington Dance Program
