  • I was at the Bridge House when that Thunderbird Bass Steve is playing fell over. Their last number, they walked off stage. Steve must have been pissed because he just didn't secure it against his amp properly. As he walked away...SLIDE & BANG went the headstock!. Walking back on for an encore, Steve picked up the T-Bird & the headstock was waving about in the breeze (so to speak). His face was that of pure misery. Like a true pro,he played on with his 4001 Ricky, glancing at the stricken T-Bird

  • Yep...those were the days...the Bridge was the place huh. So many great bands...Filthy McNasty (with Chris Thompson and Stevie Lange)..Zaine Griff..Gerry McAvoy..Jackie Lynton..Roll Ups...Ginger Bakers Energy..Steve Marriott...oh and of course RDB to name but a few. Wonderful!

  • Used to watch these guys in the Plough & Harrow Leytonstone every wednesday night - still haven't seen a pub rock band to beat 'em!
