  • This tractor is not a 9N. It is an 8N. It has a 4 speed and all the features of an 8N. The PTO on these tractors are 540 RPM, but that is not what you're talking about. I think you're talking about the size of the PTO shaft. The original PTO shaft is 1 1/8. The standard size today is 1 3/8. What you need is an over running coupler (ORC) so the brush hog won't push you when you push in the clutch. It makes it a lot safer too. You can get one that goes from 1 1/8 to 1 3/8.
