  • Bodie was a stand up dude.

  • how much money does he give him?

  • man its bullshit everybody thinkin that he hung himself Dee wasnt no bitch fuck Stringer for that shit

  • this is ironic how little love bodie shows for D when bodie ends up just like D but a little stronger. They both end up dead, they both smart and they both know how much shit is in the game. Bodie learned so much from D and he was one of the best soldiers a kingpin could try to recrruit

  • poot better have gotten bodie some flowers in his funeral

  • Bodie was loyal. Bodie was TOO loyal. I honestly think that Poot had more of the correct mindset. Poot was more detached; it always seemed like just business to him. Bodie took it all too seriously. That normally works in the everyday working world. But not in this.

  • bodie was one of the realist niggaz in the show!

  • Gangsta ass flowers.

  • The flowers he buies are very ugly.

  • I get the strong impression that the florist is an ex-gangbanger himself...one who managed to make his way out of it somehow. He still has a cautious sympathy towards people like Bodie, though, and his business acumen caters to that.

  • @funkmike when u say that, makes me think of poot in season 5, when he starts working in the sneaker store.

    same shit

  • Sorry Bodie. Yeah maybe that idiot O-Dog bought flowers for your funeral.

  • am i the only person who finds this scene completely hilarious? I need to find this florist b/c want my AK-47 floral arrangement in white carnations at my funeral.

  • @chickennrunn

Haha. Yeah, I wonder if my local florist in the suburbs has any arrangements like the ones shown here.

  • "when you stand with a nigga you stand with him til the end, otherwise - otherwise you aint nothin yourself"

This quote is perfect for Bodie's character. Stood with his people, through the bad and good, until the end. The epitome of the soldier/pawn.

  • I dont remember this :X

  • is this a opening 4 a season

  • Bodie was a good dude. A real down homeboy. He was the type of dude who'd tell you the truth to your face.

  • Humour is such an underrated aspect of The Wire.

  • Without humor no one would even bother watching the wire.

  • Damn D name got dragged through the mud like he wasn't shit and he didn't even killed his self. It goes to show that we as people believe anything a person say to us. " the bigger the lie the more they believe". Even though I think D should have been killed.

  • Hell Yeaah

  • maaan i forgot about this scene. i miss this damn show too much, all this clips on youtube make me like depressed.

  • can buy full series on amazon... all of them

  • @lonelyshepherd96 real i feel you on that one never be another show like this

  • ROFLMAO at this scene. Now i know what a flower shop in the ghetto is like.

  • I miss the Wire...

  • ME 2

  • this is a really good scene

  • The look on the shop guys face when he says "you want this to look like the housing projects???"

    Priceless.

  • "...PINK?" haha

  • bodie is the realest of them all if you think about it when he died on season 4 he did not run even no he could

  • Bodie always draggin peoples name down further....dude aint have to know alla dat about him (dee) being "weak" whatever...lol

  • True, but he ain't get along with D to begin with, and he always thought D was weak, even before D got did.

    Great scene, great acting.

  • Yeah, it is a great scene... and i know what u mean, straight from the start when Johnny (Bubbles' friend) tried to offer fake dollers for drugs and was caught in the pit D was the only one that didnt beat his ass... poot, bodie all the rest did.

but about D scene in prison when he gets got i think its a bit unrealistic the way everyone thought he did himself... the rope was way to long for it to had stragled him you feel me?

  • Yeah I feel you, but remember what McNutty said. Nobody cares about a drug dealer dying in prison enough to investigate the death properly.

  • Yeah i remember him sayin that, makes sense i guess when you think about it. I finished watchin the wire about 3 months ago but recently I watched just season 5 again since my cousin hadnt seen it yet. Anyway, what do you think of Omar's death?? i mean, its real sad and shit and i at first was quite dissapointed, it being a lil' kid than done him an' all. I told my dad that but he thinks it's realistic and shows how in the drug world anything unexpected can happen.

  • mariusSemeonortiz i think the way omar died is an example of what makes the wire THE WIRE. it is realistic (like your dad said). it is not the movies where somebody has a glorious death or something. it portrays social injustices. it is tragic that such an incredible and complex character like omar died like that.

  • Omar died because he had a weakness: he followed a code. A code which he wouldn´t hurt anyone who wasn´t in the game or would hurt a young hopper. Although this was a good thing, it is a weakness in the game. This proves that in the drug trafic it isnt enough to be tough, you have to be smart and cold. Very cold. Peace

  • like marlo right?

  • yea, just like marlo

  • Omar died because he had his back turned

  • I think it was entirely appropriate that Omar died as he did. It serves to remind us that even as a man like that could become legendary, and seem invulnerable because he extricates himself from incredibly dangerous situations, he remains a man and can be killed by anyone, at any time. Indeed, by making himself famous Omar actually contributed to the likelihood of an early death.

  • I was satisfied with Omar's death in the scope of the story. I was pissed that he died but him being killed in the way he was was very fitting.

  • @obiwankubrick I think Omar should have been swallowed by a whale when he was on holiday.

  • if they would have really though about it, they should have known that D was stronqer than that & would have not hung his self, lyke c'mons

  • yea koolaidshaya trudat

  • thank u cus 4 real c'mon lOl

  • We don't call people "niggers." Sorry, it's the year 2008. And there are black people in Ireland. Educate yourself, please.

  • Among the rest of these comments, yours is decidedly the most ironic. I think this thread needs quite a bit of education! Get it?

  • @TheGodMar they call each other that. wich is worse

  • "weak ass nigga if you think about it" Bodie cold asshole

  • yea so do I. but most white people don't because they all have the same insecurities and it's become the social norm to be weak so no one feels bad about it. but yea, if you're a pussy you're a piece of shit in my eyes.

  • Bodie the shit he wood have killed marlo

    if he was alive

  • Bodie is to fine.

  • Bodie is so fine to me

  • The Wire is the Greatest show ever. period. More people need to watch it.

  • Greatest show ever, wish it would never end!

  • i know.. they str8 buggin on this 5 seasons shit.. this show will forever go down in history regardless.

  • Bodie and D'Angelo didn't get along all that well in season 1, but Bodie knows deep down that all the experience that he was putting to use in season 2- he learned from D'Angelo. He owed alot to him.

Course he's "tough", so he doesn't know how to put that words. You can tell he really is sad about it when you see him at the funeral, though. Subtle, but effective. Great work, David Simon and JD Williams.

  • agreed 100%

    JD Williams: awesome actor :)

  • i agree with you naturemum. jd williams is a very good actor. in fact, the wire has some of the best actors i have ever seen. even the actors with minor roles were incredible.

  • one of my favorite sceans.

  • R.I.P Deangelo

  • Naw, not the same guy.

  • Aint dat tha dude dat string hired 2 kill d nd he got his cuz n da prison 2 kill hym nd tha dude at tha shop was lyk "baldimore niggas is off da hook..all of yall"

  • naw, it just looks like him, but they different people.
