  • Winnipeg, MB. June 4, 1984. I was there and this is what they opened with. Great White opened as well.

  • you like this? eu amo judas priest \m/

  • This was my very first concert too at Cumberland Country Civic Center in Portland, ME w/ Great White opening.

  • 1st concert in my life! I saw this show in NYC at Madison square Garden... metal was banned for 10 years after that seat cushion riot(the original)...its true. I just saw them for the last time on their epitaph tour....they rock forever!

  • correction. it's like an E6 at around 5:10

  • The difference between then & now is back then people used lighters, today it's cell phones.

  • Spinal tap nailed it! Priest rocks!

  • Saw them on this tour 1984 in Austin with Great White. I remember Love Bites being the first song on the set list and lasers / maybe spotlights coming out of the Hellion's eyes and roaming the crowd during that gong sounding intro to Love Bites. Was my first 'real' concert, I was 14 and still easily one of the top 5 stage shows I've ever seen. Great post.

  • i think he hits a A7 at 5:08. sounds like it.

  • love the priest.k.k and glen gotta be the coolest headbanger duo's ever.it's just so much their trademark.no one does it better.long live the mighty judas priest.

  • my fave song to bad they dont play this more at concerts. judas priest a classic band. to bad kk wont be on the last tour it is not the same without him. lets have a feast for the priest.

  • The real Priest....awesome stage set. They need to release a bluray/dvd of this tour.

  • judas priest is my life

  • got to love it dont make like this any more, cant dispute the greatness of the PRIEST

  • That 1 dislike was the person who got the beer bottle in the head

  • Can you put in the order the whole show? It would be very helpful!

  • This is Priest at one of their most blatantly cheesy, commercial songs...

  • @Thernmshow Your soundly defeated! Wait till I sick the Priest group on you. You'll be flooded with messages. Hahaha dickhead. Loser!

  • @thernmshow Eat me Bitch show! Nobody is sending you crap you schizophrenic! You;re blocked! HAHAHA

  • Thernmshow is a moron!

  • 2 words: THE BEST!

  • Just flag that bitch "Themmshow" so his account gets dusted. I am not gay because I like Priest! Priest was around long before Pantera. This idiot followed me here from a boxing video. He says Roy Jones Jr. Ducked everybody. He dominated for 10 years. Plus he battled Tarver again shortiy after his KO loss. So

    get lossed Stalker!

  • what was the setlist that night?

  • @erd675 Love Bites Jawbreaker Grinder Metal Gods Breaking The Law Sinner Desert Plains Some Heads Are Gonna Roll The Sentinel Rock Hard, Ride Free Night Comes Down The Hellion/Electric Eye Heavy Duty/Defenders of the Faith Freewheel Burning Victims of Changes The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown) Livin' After Midnight Hell Bent For Leather You Got Another Thing Comin'
  • @thernmshow Could both yourself and jjjxxx777 please stop gaying up the comment section for this great performance please, who gives a fucking shit what Halford's sexual orientation is? Why the fuck does it matter if he enjoys the cock? I, as a straight man, would gladly get down on my knees and let Halford "Ram it down" (my throat) The man is a vocal god and a god of metal. Pantera have like 2 decent albums (Power Metal and Cowboys) and after that turned into a horrible groove band.

  • @IamVengeance666 Hey dude, blame it on you tube! I blocked this Sucker, yey he can still reply to my comments. He's the Homophobe. I understand what your saying though.

  • @thernmshow

    Serious issues, hmm?

    Do something productive!

  • Themmshow is a fucking stalker! He searches for my comments and smartsoff like a Dickhead! Hope you die soon pal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thernmshow HAHAHA, Pantera, they even performing anymore! They've got nothing on Priest! Plus, they've played with Halford before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So in other words, your the dickhead! Pantera music is gay, fuck nut! You annally retentive inbred swine flu fuck! Burn bitch burn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOSERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am truly undefeated you litttle wart!

  • Seen the tour at the Spectrum in Philadelphia June 1984.Great White opened!!

  • I WAS THERE!!

5th row at the Montreal Forum!!

I'm not sure but I think they played with KROKUS!!

    WOW! 1984/2011...!!

Best show of the 1980s, after Pink floyd in 88 at the Olympic Stadium!

    MMMMMM! The eighties!!!

  • Ah, the fullscale Metallion Lion on stage. One I know saw them in '84 too, but they used only a small version of the Metallion. This one they used on the really big gigs.

  • actualy a ton of singers have hit that note which is not to say their are a ton of singers as good as halford im just pointing it out. halford is great i would rank him #3 right behind Bruce Dickinson as #1 and Ian Gillan at #2

  • Ian Hill with that twin neck bass is awesome!

  • cool stage

  • wish love would bite me too

  • What a set, and tour for that matter. They should have filmed this tour instead of the 'Fuel For Life' tour (Turbo Tour).

  • It was when metal was metal. My first concert was priest 10/2/82 at MSG and again at MSG in 84. Some one up front ripped out the foam from the seat and threw it on stage and from that point on, total chaos and foam everywhere. I will never forget those days.

  • @snwmzr724 I was at that '82 show at the Garden with Iron Maiden opening up....stoned out of our minds but we still knew that we were seeing the greatest metal show ever. Bruce Dickinson's first tour with Maiden, Number of the Beast tour. Judas Priest were God in those days.

I still have the WPLJ sticker they were handing out that night.....and I've lost so many things over the years, but for some reason I still have this sticker. Long live metal.

  • This is the only, i repeat, this is the only song that i listen to over than 5 times per day,

  • Halford dance FTW.

  • I saw them on this tour twice, once in NJ and once in NYC at Madison Sq. Garden. I remember thinking the stage looked freakin lame with that stupid robot cat face. Especially compared to the Screaming tour with the massive wall of Marshalls. But at the MSG tour all the fans ripped the the foam rubber out of the seats and threw them on stage, it was freakin awesome looking! And every metal band was banned from MSG for the next decade. Ah, the 80s...

  • How about a VHS or DVD?

  • The fucking legendary C#6

  • @orcool207 what is the C#6 please?

  • @MSGDK It´s the note that Halford is singing at 5.07, It´s extremely high!

  • @Evilwalker99 nice!! thank you for the information!! and for the history the highest notes that rob has ever done is in the end of the sentinel...

  • @MSGDK No, this is Robs´ highest note that he has reached.

  • @Evilwalker99 watch?v=kdFoQbgVZPc

G#6 at 4:08 though it might be in falsetto or whistle voice.

  • @cubby3o5 do you mean this video he hits G#6 or is it another video? i'd like to know.

  • @righteous65 In the video I linked to the comment

  • Oh the golden age of metal.....old school metal is my religion and Judas is my Priest

  • I love the way Halford sounds here. BALLSY.

  • 5:20.

    And nobody had a clue.

  • @Wyndrax

hahhaaahaha i loled hard to your comment :D

    Still,dont pick on Rob :D

  • @Wyndrax about what?

  • The one motherf*cker who disliked this video needs to burn in hell.

  • truely one of the best bands ever. No one can deny the power and intensity of priest.

  • First off , thank you very much for posting these. I saw this concert in Cleveland and it was my very first concert and I have been hooked on Priest music ever since. I have attended many Priest concerts and thet all ROCKED.

  • The 4:50 until the 5:10 is the best moment.

  • Incredible performance by Priest. Thank you for posting.

  • This was my first concert too! I saw em in Providence RI 4/25/84! Awesome concert! I was 14 at the time and it almost blew my head off! LOL! One of my favorite memories! Feels like only yesterday! Priest Rules! And 84 ruled too! Awesome year for metal! And for me!

  • Halford proves that you CAN dance to metal (5:10 - 5:38).

  • @GrayLeader2184 Only idiots would dispute that.

  • @GrayLeader2184 hey man after that scream he can do whatever the fuck he wants

  • I was there...Thanks for this Vid

  • Great show! Looking back I remember being bummed that this was the opener - man were we spoiled or what?

  • Thanks SO much for posting this, it reminds me of my first Priest concert, which was on the same tour in Cedar Rapids, IA. My first heavy metal concert. It was SO LOUD and SO ENERGIZING it changed my life! This is just how I remember it.

  • @bretman444 I went to the same show in CR in '84 at the 5 seasons.I was 18 and the Priest was my fav band. This show just cemented them as my all time favorites. How many encores did they do?? lol...the crowd just wouldn't let them finish the show.Amazing concert.loved it so much we went to Chicago to see them again shortly after.

  • I remember this show in Philly like it was yesterday. Thanks! Long live the Priest!

  • Cool video! I didn't know there was any footage in existence from this tour.

  • is that a C#6 halford hit at the end

  • oh yes it is!!! :)

  • DDAAAYYYUUUUMMMMM thats intense

  • @onepolej Yep, that song happens to be in C# minor, and he hit the root note WAY up there at the end, followed by about a 5th up on "Love Bites!" at the very tail of it. This was JUST like my very first Priest experience...I saw that tour in '84 in Cedar Rapids, IA. My ears damn near bled, it was AWESOME!

  • @onepolej

    Motherfucking right.

  • @onepolej yes it is, I mean OMG and he did it live... 2 words: Metal God

  • @onepolej

    Yes :P

  • @onepolej I am not a musician but surely i am a metal head... so whats up with C#6?

  • @mu0325 It's possibly the highest note that Halford has ever hit. And I must say it is ridiculous haha. He is the Metal God for a reason.

  • @mu0325 look up scientific pitch notation on wikipedia its higher than the Dissident Aggressor scream at the beginning which is B5.

  • @onepolej yes.

  • @onepolej If you want to know what that note at the end is, you better ask Rob, cause no other fucking vocalist even knows it exists. Halford invented it.

  • @onepolej hello, what do you mean by that? i do not understand.

  • @onepolej when, at 5:06, or at 5:55 ?

  • @onepolej * sorry, 5:45.

  • @onepolej came from wikipedia, eh?

  • I was at the Toronto in 84 show 12 row floors and I meet Rob and KK before the gig what a show my ears where ringing for a week

  • Saw both the Vengeance and Defenders Tour ; never experienced such power and energy in a live performance.

  • I saw this tour when I was 12 years old in Chicago at Rosemont Horizon. This was my first metal show and by far had one of the biggest impressions on me and my love for metal.

    Good time!

  • I'm jealous! I love metal music, but have never been to a metal concert sadly. I saw Tool, but for some reason I dont consider them a metal band. More prog rock. Priest is metal to the core!

  • I've never seen this before but they sound AMAZING.

  • great i saw the 82 tour screaming for vengeance which is a much better album imo. i saw it at ny's madison square garden and iron maaiden opened up for them piece of mind tour

  • I've never liked the drums being set off to the side. They should've been center stage in between the paws on maybe a 3 foot riser. Poor Dave.

  • Excellent..

  • I seen them same tour bout 3 day before this in Spokane Washington Ive seen lots of shows since then still my alltime favorite show. Memories......

  • OMG. I've been looking for '84 footage since '84. I seen them in Detroit for this tour. They actually did Let Us Prey from Rocka Rolla that night. I will never forget that show and this video cements that memory! AND, I just seen Priest 24 hours ago at Pine Knob near Detroit! Again awesome, but not like '84 era. We never knew how good we had it.

Yes, the screams! Me and my old buddies still talk about this show to this day.

You are correct, The Metallian had laser light beams shooting out

  • Dude!!! I was at the detroit show 25 years ago, i was 10 yrs old, my first concert ever...I was at the pine knob show on wednesday, I screamed and sang along to the songs like i was in 84 all over again! I've seen hundreds of bands, none ever put on a show like them. LONG LIVE THE PRIEST!!!

  • I can hardly imagine what a 10 year old would be thinking watching this event unfold before their very eyes! Care too share!

  • Let Us Pray is from Sin After Sin.

  • Jeez! It's been a long time!!

The song was Dying To Meet You.

Awesome! I think Robs voice needed a break and that was the only low range tune that night. Wish I had this concert in it's entirety.

  • huh 84 was before tripods haha

  • gr8 vid, how the hell did u get a 1984 sized camera in? I saw every JP tour xcept Turbo (cancelled in U.S. after a couple shows, they couldnt get insurance) This 1 was my fav.

When i saw them thou the beast had red lazer eys that scanned the crowd b4 they hit the stage.

  • That scream at 5:07. holy shit.

  • This is how I remember PREIST. Loved this concert. BADASS! Now I get to take my kids to Priest on July 31 at Shoreline! CANNOT wait to let these guys see what ROCK GODS really are!

  • holy cow, it's a freakin drum track. oh les, where were you???

  • highh notessssssssssss

  • this was an awesome concert.. they opened with this very song in worcster mass.. first concert ever.. my ears rang for 3 days....

    good Video btw

  • look at ian rockin that double bass!! \m/

  • Yup! In order: TESTAMENT, MEGADETH and PRIEST.

It was so awesome. I'm tempted to go to London's Show... But It's only like Saturday... If I bought the ticket now, I doubt i'd get it... And i'd rather use the Special Delivery Option, but they don't have it on that one.. Shit. :(

  • I saw Priest in Cedar Rapids Iowa that Summer, it was my first rock concert, and this was the opening number...I became a fan of Metal that night...what great memories, thanks for posting! THIS was JP at their very best, freakin' sweet!

  • amazing!!!!!! i love this song!!

in the dead of night love bites!!!!

    love bites

    THE BEST BAND EVER

  • Good thing Priest now has Scott Travis then, eh?

  • The St. Paul stop on this tour in June 84 was my first concert. My second concert was the Powerslave tour in Dec 84. They remain the two best concerts I ever saw. 1984 ruled!

  • especially with Van Halen ;)

  • @edburke1 ya got that right i saw the world slavery tour in long island @ nassau coliseum the 50' eddie was amazing 84 Rocked!!

  • @edburke1 This was the year I was born so yes, it did :D

  • Its Ian's style. He just likes it that way.Watches everyone and still kicks ass!!

After all he was the founder of the band.....

  • JP in Dallas, Texas, 1984... not the first concert, but the most impressive for me.

  • This my first concert in Landover, MD. same tour. Priest was at their finest.

  • My first concert was this tour in Philly. Haven't been the same since.

  • My first concert will be the PRIEST FEAST on 13th of February this month!

    Good starter i'd say.

  • I didn't see Priest in concert until their next tour, Fuel For Life. This is better.

  • i on't know . but i don't like it that way.

to me he seems to be in a band like-we have him only because there has to be a bass player

  • dudes. 84-85 was awesome metal. Priest - defenders, Maiden - Poweslave, Scorps - Sting. Our kids will be like - what was it like. AWESOME!! saw maiden last friday -unfuckiningreal!!!

  • excellent live performance!!

  • this is better than the original lp

  • haha i saw priest with the scorpians heart and the joe perry project back in 79 or 80, British steel tour at the Rockford speedway in IL. the ticket cost $8. Been a huge fan ever since. True metal GODS!!

  • man i m soooo ready for 2008 world tour really hope the scorpions open for them in the north american leg of the tour this year will be awesome never got to see them yet

  • Thank you for sharing these videos of Judas Priest 84; I was deemed too young ( age 14 ) to goto this concert; I saw JP in 86 for Turbo and every since then about 30 times ( combined with Fight, Halford, Ripper Ownens, etc ). Defenders of the Faith was and still is one of my Favorite music releases

  • i love those moments when evrybody realises wot the song is, its gr8

  • Judas Priest are gods. Bless you Evilaggression for posting this footage. It is MASTERFUL! Praise hail Judas Priest!

  • Attended the Defenders Of The Faith concert at Long Beach Arena, CA, on Sat Mat 5th, 1984. This has got to be one of the all time great bootleg recordings ever. evilaggression rules.

  • is that the concert that jawbreaker on the sin after sin remaster cd and girnder on british steel remaster cd r taken from?

  • ,,,,,

  • man i miss the 80's they were soo great saw this show too so awesome to see it again thanks so much for posting this

  • Io il 18/02/1984 ero in Svizzera a vederli e precisamente a Winterthur. Non avete idea di cosa vi siete persi se non ci eravate. I paragoni non hanno senso con Dei del genere!!

    Grazie!!!

  • i saw this tour in Chicago area, 10th row as you can hear, drums were absolutely thundering, they had a great mix too where u could hear the guitars fantastic, it was the loudest thing I ever heard in my life....when they do thing at the end when they hold the chords....it gives u goose bumps if yer a fan....good post...thanks, it brings back memories

  • Dude.. Totally! I was at the Rosemont Horizon for that show. I sat in the first row balcony all the way across from the stage right in the center. So watching the concert was looking basically strait forward and a little downward. Still even being that far away, that show was one of the loudest concerts I have ever been to(the other being AC/DC For Those About To Rock Tour I think at the same place, and I have been to many!

    DEFEND THE FAITH!!!

    - and thanks be to EVILAGGRESSION.

  • Thank you for posting this! I didn't become a Priest fan until 1985. Saw the Turbo tour in 86' & subsequent tours. Also saw the 82/83 tour on video (now on DVD). But never saw the 1984 tour! My friend told me that was the best tour of the 80's for them. That the show opener with Love Bites was worth the price of admission alone. He told me Halford comes out of the Metallian. I couldn't picture it, but now I finally get to see it, 23 years later!

  • Yeah, I was at this show in Montreal. Very nice indeed.

  • THIS IS MY LIFE, HEAVY METAL

  • I so needed this.

    Simply awesome.

  • Man... this has got to be the BEST riffing, soloing, whatever you wanna call it, in the history of heavy metal! Feel like driving through concrete walls while listening to this! See about 2 minutes, 45 seconds into the video for what I'm referring to... this song has been going through my head for several weeks now, and I couldn't remember which one it was... thanks for posting... GRRR...

  • kk rocks mannn

  • did they play u got another thing comin

  • Yeah... I put it up and now the show is uploaded in its entirety. :-)

  • Oh what memories!!!

  • Love Bites est LEGENDAIRE !

  • Great stage, but the drums being offset is kinda weird. They should've worked it so Daves kit was still dead center.

  • Who is the guy who had these seats in Montreal around 83-85 and recorded these great bootlegs? Enter Montreal 1984 and 1985 and you see Van Halen, Rush, Maiden, etc.. all from the same location - f--ing awesome

  • great bass intro by Ian Hill..

  • yes, I can't think of one song that starts this way. It was always kind of a unique spooky song to me.
