  • Gurl, you are just all around gawjusss! I love myself a messy bun as well. I'm going to have to get my hands on some of that Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I'm not sure if the brand of it makes a difference but the one I got...did not yield great results *pooey*. I will definitely try the other brand. I love the bling headband...they are sooo cute. Bling makes everything glamorous *smiles*.

  • @kokofemme - Thanks so much for the compliment sis ;-) .. I sent you a message with the link to the kind of Castor Oil I use, hopefully it works for you too!! I even added the link to the info for this vid so thanks for asking!

Yes, the bling headbands were a great find. I bought them from a vendor in DC over the summer and knew I had to have them once I saw them!! Agreed that bling makes makes everything glamorous, love that!!

  • I meant weight loss vid ...smh

  • OK its me again...I promise I'm gonna go to bed after this vid lol. just a question, do you ever get your hair professionally done.? I'm more of a DIY kinda girl. I love doing my own hair and I think it comes out better when I do it. Also I would love to see a weight loss did..u look Fab honey. OK going to bed....xoxoxo

  • @mssas413 - I had my hair done professionally for the first year and a half and I've been taking care of it ever since unless I want to be pampered. The last time I had a professional do my hair, it was the first color application I had and even that I'm doing on my own now.

Yes, so many people have asked about my weight loss that I'm planning on making a vid soon.

  • How did I miss this video? Cute style and headbands. I saw some similar headbands at Burlington, but, I didn't buy them. Guess I'll be making a trip back there!

  • @onyxspirals - I'm happy you liked it!! And yes, go back and snatch those bad boys up, they can definitely come in handy!! ;-)

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • You have such a pretty face. Love the hair and the glam look. Your hair line looks so neat and full. How do you keep it like that between washing? How often do you retwist in order to avoid thinning or breakage? Have a blessed end of year and a Happy New Year.

  • @tmice826 - Ohh, thanks so much (you made me blush)! I'm happy you liked the bun & glam look ;-) .. Like I said in the vid, I typically just retwist the front of my hair or the perimeter if I'm pulling it up between washes as needed. I use Jamaican Castor Oil on my hair line to keep it from thinning, I wrap my hair with a satin scarf at night to keep it neat, and that's about it! I'll probably make a vid about it soon since so many ask!

  • Nat, how often do you retwist and how do you avoid that scalpy look? i have seen people who get retwisted at salons and it comes out looking really thin and sparse at the root. any tips for avoiding that?

  • @neikaplay - My response was a bit too long for this response box, so I'll email it to you!

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • @Nat0526 thanks so much for your very detailed reply and many attempts to answer me. much appreciated. i think i will try that method of just redoing the edges. i already use no clips and no gel which i guess help achieve a less scalpy retwist. anyway thanks!

  • @neikaplay I'd like to know too! Think you can do a vid response Nat? Please & thank you!

  • Love your ideas alot!!!

  • @tresy177 - Yayyyyy!!!! I'm so happy you like the idea ;-)

  • Brilliant. Coud you possibly do a tutorial on how you get your front locks sooooo neat and shiny and on your eyebrows. ITMT I will search through your vids for a tut on your edges. Thank you. xoxo

  • @pooja6116 - I'm so happy you enjoyed this look ;-) .. I've had a lot of requests for how I keep the front so neat and so I'll definitely do a vid on that. I get a lot of requests for makeup tutorials too, but I don't know that I'm the best source for that, but I'll see what I can do about a brow tutorial in the new year ok! Thanks for the request ;-)

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • @Nat0526 OOPS I just saw your reply to this. Sorry for repeating the same request... I'm kinda new at this YT thing O_o

After 6 great years with mine I decided to comb them out and get use to my texture again...I'm very happy with my choice but I still miss my locs...lol..smh

  • @matnicaj1 - Thanks SO much for the great compliment. I'm about to reach my 6yr lociversary this week and I can't imagine life w/o my locks just yet so I can fully understand what you mean, but I'm sure you're loving your loose hair just as much.

  • I bet you won't believe I just created this bun style today and absolutely love it. It looks so elegant! yet really simply and easy to do. I like the hair scarf and the head ban idea too. Where did you get those gorgeous head bands? Thanks for sharing :)

  • @rmcandlelight - YAYYYYY!!!!!! Isn't it just the easiest bun? I'm so happy it worked out for you!! I used to push my locks up in a bun like this just to get them out of my way in the early stages of my journey and now it makes a great little bun!

I bought the headbands from a street vendor in DC over the summer. I'm sure you could find similar bling headsets at those little accessory stores in the mall too ;-)

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • @rmcandlelight - In fact, I just went to Amazon and did a search on 'bling headbands' and found some pretty cute ones. They're a bit pricey there, but if you can find them there, I'm sure you'll be able to find them elsewhere and more affordable!

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • I love this style :-D

  • @mad4u19 - Yayyyy, I'm happy you like it!! ;-)

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • How long do your curls usually last

  • @iluvmakeupthismuch - Until I wash them out. I've had this set in for almost 4wks now. Typically I wouldn't wait so long to wash them out, but it's Winter and my hair has stayed pretty neat. As long as you allow your hair to dry completely to set the curl, they should last with no problems!

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat
