Few things to say. Genius! There's rule that you're not allowed to have a song that brings the contest in disrepute, obvioulsy Dustin didn't! The big 4 counties automatically get through as they pay for it. I suspect the bloc voting is people living in other countries phoning in for their homeland. The bigger your expat community, the more votes you get. And just to prove me wrong Poland got 14. There must be a lot of Brits in San Marino! Italy and Luxembourg got fed up with this years ago

This would make the competition smaller and maybe there would be no need for the qualifying round. Aslo other nations should get automatic entry to the final it should a fair and level playing field! To me, it seems like the camera and lighting was extra shoddy on the Irish entry -- Dustin seemed to always be in darkness and there were some awful blurry/zoomed shots that didn't do us any favours.

This didn't happen for any of the other entries.

Also, in the recap (with the phone numbers) every entry had their chorus shown EXCEPT for the Irish one.

I think there was a bit of foul play...anyone else pick up on this?

Turkey stradles Europe and Asia, the part of Turkey in Europe was also known as Thrace in Ancient times. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia all look to be on the wrong side of the Caucasus Mtns to be in Europe. UK, France, Germany and Spain should not get automatic inclusion if others have to qualify.
