My personal feeling toward WAR are, well.. it has a great background story, a complex and detailed world (thanks to 20-odd years of history as pen&paper RPG setting and as setting for various fiction). However Mythic managed to fail the game in terms of technical implementation and treatment of players. Unfortunately, not even BioWare were able to avert the mass leaving of players. I personally wouldn't return to WAR. Just my $.02

Also... WoW's socalled god lore often tramples previous perceptions of lore, like how their are Cow-tankadens now or undead hunters. Blizzard had plenty of time to grow a multy-million game company, giving countless amounts of upgrades to the game. Which everyone can admire. But you could say every mmorpg game afterwards with tweaks and gameplay would then copy WoW fundementals. Not to mention without warhammer, Wow would be nothing if not for Blizzard's backstabing.
I dont really understand what you mean by LORE and FANTASY (said ambigiously as possible). Warhammer has a lore stemming beyond the age of any wartime strategy game with orcs, elves and dwarves (possibly only second to Dungeons and Dragons). And what are you comparing this to? Wow's LORE? Wow's FANTASY? In which all we get is shiny glowing armor that the creators made clear, is the ONLY point of playing through the entire game? Or how Blizzard lore only feels like an extension for the gaming?
I mean jsut stating that both have great lore, just that maybe some people feel World of Warcraft lore is overlooked? Maybe their are some who don't want to spend hours and hours searching for Daralan quests or thottbot the shit outta any lore related quests? I can deeply understand why Warhammer looks like just another copied version,( aka, orc bloodrage, class-look-alikes, minimap, sometimes even gameplay, etc.) But don't act like everything that has these COPIED WoW.
Mainly because these are mmorpg elements now that all lore-based games might have one way or another. Also the photorealism is better compared to WoW's animated cartoon cutouts at times when your PC cant take the full quality of WoW's graphics, thats coming from a dedicated WoW player. I thought the imagery in Warhammer was brilliant, looked somewhat like the tabletop game itself. And since you never really stated justifiable reasons to why the photorealism sucks, I'll take it as a coopout.
Warhammer came out on 1991, granted it was a board game at the time, but their was tons of fluff in their codex. Giving them another three years to mature their game. Check everywhere, and warcraft came out on 1994. Not saying anything, just informing.

Nah. It's because, warcraft orcs were captured by the humans, and put in camps. But then thrall ( leader of the orcs) led the orcs to victory, they then left and started a new life in Durotar, and built a city called Orgrimmar. That's why warcraft orcs are much more civilised.

If you google Warcraft Humans VS Orcs (first ever warcraft game). You'll see they look nothing alike. But, all MMO's are inspired from great authors like Tolkein who wrote the hobbit. But, I'm not taking taking Blizzards side here. They copied too much from Warhammer 40k, when they made Starcraft. But, Orcs all look the same, apart from in LOTR.

The thing is, that most mmo's look good, but if they're new, they have to be released after WoW, which means that all the losers, that cant take that other similar mmo's gets made, feel the need to do something like type: "Warhammer Online gameplay" and then just find a random video and write shit about a game that they havent even played, just because it looks like their only true love; World of Warcraft. I my slef, havent played this game, but it looks nice, still going to stick with LOTRO

I just play these types of games for fun and to relax, while all the people arguing this is their life and they do nothing else but sit and play it for fourteen hours a day. I heard that one person actually died from playing WOW for three days straight without eating or sleeping, don't know if its true though...

1. Blizzard asked GW to make a game with their theme, but GW declined because they were currently working on WAR.
2. Blizz forges ahead anyway, starts developing its half-assed game WoW. Set for release in 2004. At this time, GW postpones release of WAR because WoW is dominating the market, tweaks WAR a lot, and releases it in 2008. Many people and companies worked on BOTH projects, so in fact they didn't copy off each other, they're just the same.

Also... WoW's socalled god lore often tramples previous perceptions of lore, like how their are Cow-tankadens now or undead hunters. Blizzard had plenty of time to grow a multy-million game company, giving countless amounts of upgrades to the game. Which everyone can admire. But you could say every mmorpg game afterwards with tweaks and gameplay would then copy WoW fundementals. Not to mention without warhammer, Wow would be nothing if not for Blizzard's backstabing.

I dont really understand what you mean by LORE and FANTASY (said ambigiously as possible). Warhammer has a lore stemming beyond the age of any wartime strategy game with orcs, elves and dwarves (possibly only second to Dungeons and Dragons). And what are you comparing this to? Wow's LORE? Wow's FANTASY? In which all we get is shiny glowing armor that the creators made clear, is the ONLY point of playing through the entire game? Or how Blizzard lore only feels like an extension for the gaming?

I mean jsut stating that both have great lore, just that maybe some people feel World of Warcraft lore is overlooked? Maybe their are some who don't want to spend hours and hours searching for Daralan quests or thottbot the shit outta any lore related quests? I can deeply understand why Warhammer looks like just another copied version,( aka, orc bloodrage, class-look-alikes, minimap, sometimes even gameplay, etc.) But don't act like everything that has these COPIED WoW.

Mainly because these are mmorpg elements now that all lore-based games might have one way or another. Also the photorealism is better compared to WoW's animated cartoon cutouts at times when your PC cant take the full quality of WoW's graphics, thats coming from a dedicated WoW player. I thought the imagery in Warhammer was brilliant, looked somewhat like the tabletop game itself. And since you never really stated justifiable reasons to why the photorealism sucks, I'll take it as a coopout.

Warhammer came out on 1991, granted it was a board game at the time, but their was tons of fluff in their codex. Giving them another three years to mature their game. Check everywhere, and warcraft came out on 1994. Not saying anything, just informing.

Nah. It's because, warcraft orcs were captured by the humans, and put in camps. But then thrall ( leader of the orcs) led the orcs to victory, they then left and started a new life in Durotar, and built a city called Orgrimmar. That's why warcraft orcs are much more civilised.
And I believe Blizzard didn't go to court because of warcraft. If I'm correct, Blizzard went to court because of Starcraft ripping off Warhammer 40k.

If you google Warcraft Humans VS Orcs (first ever warcraft game). You'll see they look nothing alike. But, all MMO's are inspired from great authors like Tolkein who wrote the hobbit. But, I'm not taking taking Blizzards side here. They copied too much from Warhammer 40k, when they made Starcraft. But, Orcs all look the same, apart from in LOTR.
