I think this surgery is like continuation of stuff done after World War I, when surgeons were making special stuff for wounded soldiers to make soldiers' lives better in quality (for example artificial jaws looked nearly like real ones and helped soldiers go out and flirt with girls or make shopping without scaring kids away).

I am an organ donor. When I am through with the heat engine, 30% efficient, that I have used to carry my brain around if someone else can use even a part of it well do it. I don't think any worms will starve because of it.
