  • I masterbate

  • lol jk

  • Goddammit. I'm atheist, (so the previous sentence is a little ironic), and you morons starting arguments about God not being real give us good atheists a bad rap. If you can't learn to respect the opinions of others, shut the fuck up.

  • goddammit is not a sentence because it doesnt have sentence or verb u doosh so fuk u u fuckin athiest

  • who the fuck are you to judge him for being athiest

  • Can't we all just get along? >_>

  • dude calm down i didnt even rite that man im sorry my older sis wrote that she plays like a bitch sorry man

  • I agree. And I'm a Christian.

Christians and Athiests alike should stop having pointless arguements that will go absolutely nowhere. Its annoying to read and a waste of time.

  • @smashbro49 Yes, both sides do need to stop fighting. There really isn't a point. The only way to prove god does or doesn't exist is to be every where at once. In other words it's impossible.

  • Poland is proud of you Dr. Siemionow!!

Good luck to th patient on her way to full recovery.

  • Her husband shot her in the face. Violence by men against women once again.

  • It does happen both ways... Women can pull a trigger as well..

  • what about that woman who cut off her husbands penis, got away from like a 20 year sentence, and was fucking awarded?!

  • is that chimp attack woman at this hospital. Thank God for smart doctors and nurses

  • "God" had nothing to do with this. Science did. I apologize if that is offensive, but let's give credit where it's due.

The U.S. should be very proud of the Cleveland Clinic. They've been on the cutting edge of so many surgical techniques over the past 10 years. Kudos to you all.

  • It's ludicrous to say God can't exist in a world of science. There's still no explanation of what set off the Big Bang, how the original particle got there, or the purpose of sentience. Until science can answer EVERY QUESTION there's the possibility of a higher being, or a manager of life. If someone wants to believe God has an impact on the intelligence of individuals, it's possible, in a very extended way, and I have no definite way to disprove them. However, doctors deserve credit too.

  • // It's ludicrous to say God can't exist in a world of science. //

I did not say that. You did.

// There's still no explanation of what set off the Big Bang //

And there is zero explanation of God's existence, along with zero evidence of a specific "god" at that. Yet you accept this.

// and I have no definite way to disprove them. //

Onus of proof is on the person making the assertion. The bottom line: No miracles. No healings. Just good medicine.

  • In a world where there is a God, that God, by definition, is responsible for everything. Therefore, when something good happens, people say thank god. By saying we shouldn't be thanking God, you're saying he didn't exist, otherwise he'd be responsible for this in an extended way. There's zero explanation for a lot of things. I just choose which lies I want to believe, hoping that there's a truth in them somewhere. I am not anti-science, but I have no reason to believe there's no God.

  • // In a world where there is a God //

Which "god" did you have in mind? We have no proof of "a" god -- but we do have conflicting holy books and downright nonsense about dozens. Pick your god. Then be sure to tack on ebola and small pox in "god's responsibility" column. Can't have it both ways. ; )

// I am not anti-science, but I have no reason to believe there's no God. //

The more important question would be, "What reasons do you have for believing in "a" god?"

  • To the second question, there are still things that are unanswered. That there was a manager who did them follows a trend in the universe of having a "pack leader". To the first, it doesn't matter which God, in any case, he is responsible for the world, scourge, disease, and all.

  • // That there was a manager who did them follows a trend in the universe of having a "pack leader" //

Yes, I understand -- but then where is God's pack leader? If the trend can stop, as you must assert, can it not stop with the cosmos?

// t doesn't matter which God, in any case, he is responsible for the world, scourge, disease, and all. //

Then he is not worthy of worship in the least. In fact, we as scientists have been fixing his blunders for hundreds of years.

  • Yeah, and if humans for once drop their sense of entitlement..they'll realize that god doesn't give a flying fuck about us.

but no, humans think god HAS TO be good..we are entitled to that.

    Plain and simple..he doesn't care.

He is probably getting a kick out of it.

    What can you do?

Don't think there's a complaint department in Heaven where you can bitch about it.

  • LOL, I live in Cleveland and I mean, Cleveland just sucks, but at least now we've ACCOMPLISHED something. haha this is amazing

  • I would rather have a superhero looking face like one made of Kevlar or titanium. I'm sad that people suffer like this.

  • a face made from metal would b awesome

im sure that the woman isnt suffering anymore tho, shes probably alot happier now

  • yeah, cause no one wants to eat or drink or smell. you are an idiot. her face was completely gone in the middle. with the transplant she can now do all of those things and not be made fun of while doing normal daily things.

  • you are an idiot - get the facts before you make stupid comments like that

  • well done. sorry kay nesbit didnt have the opportunity that this lady had

  • I'm so happy for her.

  • wow that is amazing!and to think that doctors in south carolina still cant perform a hernia surgury!

  • that is great. who ever oposes of i give you this just imagen yourself have nothing left of your face, say if some drunk driver smashed into you when your driving and your face gets compleatly smashed wouldn you want to look better. go cleveland clinic!!

  • I think this surgery is like continuation of stuff done after World War I, when surgeons were making special stuff for wounded soldiers to make soldiers' lives better in quality (for example artificial jaws looked nearly like real ones and helped soldiers go out and flirt with girls or make shopping without scaring kids away).

  • nuner: Wow, what an "intelligent" comment. You couldn't come up with something better??? You need surgery on your feeble "brain".

  • wow, the stuff they can do these days.....

  • If you think about it, it's pretty creepy. What if people start doing this all the time? They could become something they are not and criminals will use this to their advantage...though I'm sure it'd be a hard surgery to come by. Sounds like a lot of hard work.

  • I wish her the best. The thing that concerns me is tissue rejection. It's made up of completely different DNA. I hope doctors found a good way around that, or it was all for nothing.

  • Label/Receipt Number: 4204 5780 9121 8052 1390 7156 9391 17

  • done people went ape shit. now its common place and even religious people get it done without question. even now studies are being done to show that you can grow your own organs from your own stem cells (even in the roots of your teeth you have some) and improving life would probably be one of science's greatest gifts for humanity.

  • i'd like to see the religious people say to her after the surgery that science is evil. when people that don't understand something they ridicule it. after time this will become common place and will improve peoples lives. when the 1st resuscitation was

  • In my opinion, God gave us the knowledge to be able to perform amazing surgeries. Science is not evil.

  • yes

  • @LarkPash no one should care about other peoples appearances in the first place, so we wouldn't need to alter peoples looks, so they wont be shunned

  • frankenstein type of story..but thats the amazement of science.

  • Lets face it... science has come a long way. I wish her the best and a happy life.

  • serious that sick....using dead body to make your face,,

  • I am an organ donor. When I am through with the heat engine, 30% efficient, that I have used to carry my brain around if someone else can use even a part of it well do it. I don't think any worms will starve because of it.

  • i mean in the way people just want to change their face,

  • I think they made it clear in the video that only a very disfigured person would be eligible. Of course eventually I could see people doing it for the reason you specified and that would be sick in my opinion.

  • wow.. that's incredible.

    GO SCIENCE

  • I WANT A BRAD PITT FACE!!!!
