  • The future in the 1960s was shit!

  • real

  • Idiots, it's from a Philco-ford production entitled "year 1999", it's a clip from 1967. It's about as fake as my ass.

  • @BlissfullAwareness

How can you tell its a fake? Or is this just a "gut feeling" ?!?

You must be right, just because your proof is so much more convincing?

    :-)

  • wow did they rely know

  • Damn it's so correct... except we don't do it with bulky ass documents and images

  • too bad these 1999 computer monitors still cannot display at the same angle as the screen itself. :(

  • fake

  • @KybernetikKollektiv

Can you offer any insights why this is a fake? Any reason at all? I would love to hear your 'proof'

  • This has to be the closest future prediction I have ever seen as everything mentioned is possible in the video is available today. The husband paying for everything was funny, in some family's this still apples although that is a small minority these days.

  • lol, some times this stuff is fun to watch just to show that we have to clue of the future 10yrs out

  • Reminds me of the People Mover at Disney World which is now antiquated. But then, my comment is now antiquated as well.

  • Im sure there is an app for all of these tasks.

  • How do you know it's fake MikDonson, Please share? Are you saying that me and snopes are lying? Please share your wisdom with us?

  • This is fake it's not hard to tell.

  • Pretty slick Eyefinity setup he's got there

  • As long as there is humanity there will be ignorance, and with ignorance there will be religion. wars did not started because of religion, they started because of ignorance. It's true religions have start some wars but u can't put the blame entirely on religion cuz religion was not the start and will not be the end of wars. And don't get me wrong, i hate religions, but all im saying is that peace will not come because of religion itself it will not come because of ignorance on the humanity.

  • not religions... humanity.

  • WOW THIS IS OLD SHIT I JUST SEE

    when was it 60's 50's?

  • it says mid 60s right there

  • dont neglect the fact that what has allready happened since the internet was born has changed humanity forever.. p.s. i totally agree with you, not only on the tech side of future but medical, planet saving, and also world peace goals we hope to achive in the near future. hope hope hope.. nows the time for change!!!!

  • IMPOSSIBLE!

    1) This would require MEGABYTES of computing power and MEGABYTES of RAM. It will be at least 100 years before we develop that level of technology.

    2) Such a computer would cost $50,000 and would be utterly unmarketable to the general public.

    3) Phone lines could never handle that amount of data.

    4) What kind of idiot would sit at a "computer" and watch images...or even videos???

    Pshhh! yeah right....

  • comment fail.

  • HAHAHAHA! Your comment made my day!

  • Look at that dinosouar

  • I wonder if in 100 yrs they will show dr michio kaku with his visions of the future and people will allso smile and say hmm pretty close. Because that would mean we would be a race of immortal cyborgs that have colonised space.

  • I love how these things predict technological changes (this one is fairly close!) but they fail miserably at predicting social changes.

  • waa it was pretty close o.O

  • WOW!!! is it just me or is this a disturbingly accurate vision of then future technologies. look carefully!! referring to touchscreen tech, personalised electronic shopping, cttv and tracking equipment in homes. electronic payment of goods (which disturbingly enough credited money and money debited from accounts is EXACTLY HOW INTERNET SHOPPING WORKS) THE INTERNET!! how could it be that 20 or 30 years ago that such an accurate picture been envisioned!! THIS IS NWO PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING. WAKE UP

  • Someone probably knew of the possibility of this technology; after all remember the Roswell incident. That's where we got fiber optics and laser and other things from according to Col. Corso.

  • Sfireblue, Roswell, rofl... thats all bullshit...

  • We didn't get that stuff from Roswell. And I find it very offensive to the men and woman who spent years of their lives developing those technologies.

  • Maybe they predicted it because we were actively trying to develop these things and we eventually did? Durrr.

  • They didn't even mention world wide network from which you can download porn!

This goes to show how far of target they were.

  • Porn was not available back then :)

Just kidding; I think mentioning it would not have made for a good piece of propaganda for the envisioned technology.

  • The creepy comment of "The Central Bank," is distressing. This excerpt is from, dailykos, "... If they couldn't get their central bank any other way, America could be brought to its knees by plunging it into a Civil War, just as they had done in 1812, after the First Bank of the United States was not re-chartered."

Make note that of all respondents to a poll on that page, 94% believe we should eliminate the Federal Reserve.

  • weve had this technology for a long time but, its pretty much useless...i mean cmon who would have nothing to do and stay at home and monitor their house with security cameras.

  • "and junior will get on his monitor and watch stupid videos on a channel called you tube and will write stupid comments like,.. FAKE or....!" jajajaja

  • LOL I love the bloke's face as he scans what the wife has bought. LOL

  • things haven't changed, the man still ends up paying for it.

  • whahahaha they pretty much got it right.

  • Waaay too many computers for such simple tasks...

Couldn't they just imagine one computer doing all that ??

But still very true and acurate... even tho way less advanced than we have now...

  • No, I don't think they could. Even in the eighties we didn't realyl conceive of howmuch computing power could be put into a tiny space.

  • that's pretty accurate lol

  • watching critical areas.... what happened to the soul called privacy?

  • what happens when she watches porn on that? will she go after her kids when they are drowning,I THINK NOW!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaarhhhh!

  • LOL! That's hilarius! But they wer pretty acurate of a lot of those things beceause durring that time period the internet was already being developed by the U.S. government but wasnt brought out to the public till the 1990's... LOL! Thats some funny stuff!

  • the best part is the back-up "circuit" hahaha noobs, try wireless internet, g-mail, those fools be shitting their pants!!!

  • Well this prediction DOES predict a primitive internet, email system, internet shopping and banking, CCTV, home PCs, home printers, email.

True though it didn't quite get the mediums right (no keyboards and mouse), and they failed to predict the change in morals towards to a more equal society! :P

  • agreed, can't wait for the wireless video games to come about, lookup the Playstation 7 or 9 (not sure which... but its really cool!

when will that come to be?

  • What we are looking is what they imaging years ago, I am proud of the computer makers.

  • Weird we have this stuff because of the internet!

  • that sure was a fun video to watch

  • HAHAHAHAH. Wow. They forgot to show everyone wearing blinking headsets. Hahaha.

  • lol tru its one tht does all now

  • well, they certanlly had the right idea ... But they didn't have any idea that everything will be in just one or two devices, and not so many :D
