This is also the type of video that I needed, I have struggled with getting a good pre-shot routine, and this addresses some fundamentals that I needed to build on that. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the great ideas Tina, but . . . please don't teach anyone stroke mechanics. Pumping the butt of the cue up and down is typical of "fancy syndrome". The cue should remain level and as parallel as possible to the playing surface.
I do not teach people my stoke style, but instead take what one does naturally and refine and improve that. I worked for a long time to change and become orthodox, to only find for me that was a waste of time. My stroke is not intended to "look fancy." That would be the same as saying that Francisco B. or Luat are trying to look fancy, or that Mike Davis or Keith McCready are trying to be different just to be so. Sometimes talent and discipline are the ways to overcome an unorthodox style.
Awesome video Tina!! thanks for writing your articles and giving back to the pool community. I also loved your commentary in the TAR booth during the U.S. Bar table championships 2010 during the Brand Shuff vs Kruger match.
Your articles and video(s) should be well appreciated -- you put a lot of caring effort into them. Wish you could do more for the APA site in the future.
