@superlynn27 I think the early apostles would applaud you if they could read what you wrote. Yes, our focus is to be the Lord Himself, then everything else will fall in line. I think it no coincidence that Paul, Peter & John emphasized our longing should be the revelation of the Lord Himself. All 3 express we are to await Christ's coming in glory, and to allow that truth to affect our walk today. Their focus was not on our going up to meet Him, although that will happen, but on His coming down!

It was only by divine intervention I was released from it's grip. The truth about the future before the coming of Christ is not pretty, but still, I'm glad to be able to read the Scriptures without pre-trib eyeglasses on! They were giving me double vision!! (Two future comings...etc.)
@arovir Pre-trib confuses me; it is widespread these days. Just hypothsizing, I ask a valid question: Some teach pre-trib and that there is no other possiblity. Some believe that Revelation and other eschatological books are too hard to understand thus a person's trust is in someone else's understanding, study, or agenda. We know not when our hour (death) approaches but the Lord did give us signs of his coming. This pretrib lie has many deceived. I personally believe this is when the great falling away is going to happen. When persecution and tribulation finds those who believe they do not have to suffer for his name's sake. Then many will be offended and turn one on another just as the Lord warned.
@Larryd1001 - Those who firmly believe in an imminent return of Christ will be confounded, distraught and offended when the going gets really tough in the very last days. Let's do what we can to show what the Bible says before the falling away becomes a fact.
