@StiThis1 no dude, i think you are missing it. You said that you would be going shooting later and that you would upload some videos for us. vonplurring took exactly what you said,"Hopefully I can download a video.. for you guys, maybe later tonight?"; and said that he was fine downloading his own videos and you do not have to do them for him. Just a play on your words.
A lot o online websites say this had a blued finish to it. I like the all black just like this video. Anybody know where I can get a gun just like this one in all black?
Hey, i just noticed you have a Barska 6.24 on it, i have that exactl model on my .22 i want this scope on my .300 (when i get it) but i have been told this scope wont work well with the big bores. Hows your holdin up? i know a .308 is a fair difference to a .300WM but its worth the ask.
I've got a 700 SPS Stainless in 7mm08 but I haven't taken it to the Range yet. I noticed that the 700 SPS Rifles Don't have Floated Barrels and was wondering if the other Remington 700 Rifles have Floated Barrels or Bedded Stocks.
I probably will begin shooting, would this be a good starter gun for a 16 year old? I've shot pellet guns before. (pretty experienced with air rifles)
@BigJ782011 ah well depends what you want. im getting a remington 700 sps varmint 223 because i have a SHIT TON of varmints near my place. upsides of .223- very cheap shooting, can hunt anywhere from fox to deer (if you are good shot you can hunt deer) generally flat shooting, with heavy bullets you can shoot at somewhere at like 800 yards. Upside to .308 - can hunt anything in north america with it, can reach out to very long ranges, at least 1000 yards, flat shooting. Both great options!!! :)
@bwombough28 i have a 5.56 sps 700 you cane make it so the trigger requires more or less pressure to fire i have a tactictal desert camo with tactictal trigger and i put holes in the middle of dimes at 200 yds
hey man quick question.. with your scope zoomed al lthe way to 24 power. how to objects look like at 500 yards? like gimme example of your shooting out of that kind of scope view. I'm looking at a Bushnell 8-32x40 and was curious to that 24 power.. lemme know thanks so much bro
man your remington 700 makes me jealous! haha nice gun man! quick question... that scope.. never heard of it any good? odviously if u have it and how well would it shoot out to 500-600 yards?
I have the 700 police .308 with redfield LE 12 scope and it is freaking deadly accurate I can hit out to almost 1000 yards with it. just an amazing platform for an extremely reasonable price.
Nice rifle..just got the 700ADL that they only sell at Dicks and Sports Authority. Very different from the old ADL. How did you mount that Bidpod on there? and what power is the Barska? I have the excavator coming my way (although my 700 came with a remington scope)
@mustangpaul05 it mounts to the sling stud on the front . the scope is 6 to 24power. enjoy the new rifle! i may do a video of how to install the bi pod because a few ppl asked how its mounted now
@StiThis1 Cool, thanks man. You should do one of how to put it on. Anything but a rail mounted one just sounds so vague on the internet item pages. I like the black, mine is a funky camo but oh well
I have quite the cache of weapons, I put a barska on my galil but it didn't do what I thought it would, quite a disappointment. How much did just the rifle cost? I know those nice bipods can be pricy.
@miltnxc123 this is the sps none bull barrel. id go with the tactical 20'' if i could do it again. but the 24'' barrel sps does the job too. i vote 20'' bull barrel
I would get an R700, but there is one thing that bothers me. I like the way the the R700 CDL looks, but it isn't chambered for the .308 Winchester round.
I might just give in and get a polymer R700 just so I can use the .308. Except I would get it in olive drab.
@StiThis1 i like it at first but i find it to be inconsitent with adjustments, like any little adjustment to the screw can throw it out of wack. i have set as light as possible right now and its probably around 2 1/2 - 3 pounds. I think im going to invest in a new one soon. you can check my videos if you'd like as well.
You need to free float the barrel, bed the action, and change out the "X mark" with the 700's older trigger for better accuracy, and reliability. The synthetic stock you bought is very light for the gun and doesnt add much resistance for recoil. I would change the stock to at least a hogue in the future.
Awesome my friend. I have two of these one in .308 and one in .223. My .308 will put bullet on bullet at 100 yards with a cheap scope. Congrats! I will send this to Pete he has one also. Can't wait for range video!
Look into bore snakes. I have them for all of my guns. Its like running a copper brush and a cleaning pad through the barrel at the same time and there are no rods to mar the barrel
Do you have a one piece cleaning rod? You will need one with this to protect that barrel. I watched a friend of mine try to use a 3 piece rod and he messed up the barrel. Nice rig, I had a .308 police model before with a 24" barrel.
@semiautoriflelover i have always used 3 part cleaning rod on my ar15, so just bought the same kit for the 308.from hoppes or however you spell that. hope my ar aint gettin fucked up. ill look into the one piece rods. i always wanted to get the one piece carbon rods
@StiThis1 Just to be safe get a one piece rod, mine is stainless steel and was around $20. The 3 piece rods are fine for an AR15 as long as you don't clean from barrel end. The steel can attract dirt and rub inside barrel. For many years I was a bench rest shooter and the one piece is a good investment to make sure barrel is safe. One piece carbon rods are nice.

what do u mean its not the model you wanted?
did u order a varmint?
i was undecided between the sps and the sps varmint, in the end i went for the tactical, 20" barrel.
cost around 850 euros here in ita, a little over 1000 bux. :(
